I wonder if Nintendo's going to try to shove Smash 4 as an EVO game next year and threaten to cancel Melee if 4 isn't added.

Officially? Probably, but Project M was also at Evo this year as a side tournement so it wouldn't surprise me to see either Melee or Project M there as well
Definitely much better than the unnecessarily epic and over-dramatic Brawl theme.
The character select music sounds like my favourite song I've yet heard out of the game, though. I'm actually incredibly happy that there's a legit CSS song as opposed to Brawl which was, uh, devoid of that.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I'd maybe grab a Lucina too, but I can't really justify the figs if they can't store our custom setups or something useful beyond the silly AI stuff :/
See, it's sort of counter-intuitive, but I feel like you wouldn't want amiibos of your mains. Generally speaking, you'll either be fighting against or alongside your amiibo - so if you're playing Marth, and your go-to amiibo is Marth, you're going to be seeing a LOT of Marth.
For me, I think I'll be aiming for characters that I like but don't necessarily enjoy playing as. Diddy Kong, for example - DKC2 is easily one of my favorite games of all time, but I never really enjoyed the feel of him as a character. Ganondorf for another.
...but then I'll probably end up getting my mains too anyways.

Once I figure out my mains, I think I'll probably end up buying one for each. So, Mario and Robin are pretty definite, with Mega Man, Greninja, and Little Mac very likely.

Sorry, I'll be clearer. Brawl's menu/CSS theme was just its' main theme which is reused constantly. Brawl didn't have an actual song for selecting characters and everything else like Melee did. The WiiU recording of the main theme is clearly different than the 'main theme' of the game that we already know. Brawl just kept reusing the Uematsu thing with no variances.

Truth. Melee's theme is amazing, SSB4's is pretty darn good as well, and Brawl's is really... meh. It feels generic - which is a problem I have with most of Brawl's aesthetic, actually.
I just hope that SSB4's theme isn't used for like every mode and menu in the game, because overuse certainly didn't make me like Brawl's theme any more.
