Thanks Kriken :D

For a crazy second I thought you could only see inside the room YOUR character was overlapping which would be interesting usage of hidden information on the 3DS thanks to being seperate systems, but the screenshot clearly shows everyone's location being unmasked :3

That sound totally awesome. However, it should have one of those infamous toggles. I would love to do that once in a while, but when playing semi-seriously, I can imagine getting quite annoyed by that.

Sorry if this has been posted before but I came across this:

HA HA HA HA! Why would you want that as an exclusive?

We discussed it before. Wario being a clear rip from a Brawl screenshot is one of the big giveaways.

Ah, cool thanks. I was skeptical as well, was weird how Robin had both genders in the icon but Villager and Wii Fit Trainer did not, also the lack of Jigglypuff seemed odd as she's a veteran.

Dark Marth will steal Dark Pit's slot.

Yeah, Robin is likely going to only have one (the male probably) as the icon since the alt costumes are selected as you flip through the colour options.

oh this... it was discussed pages ago & the general conclusion is that it's most probably some nintendo reps will come to you & bring the demo unit
EDIT: oh apparently IGN confirmed it? Must be when I was sleeping

Initially thought this as well. Would have been an interesting gimmick? But I could see that potentially become annoying too.

Heh, yeah on paper it sounded like a fun idea but as Staen says it has the potential maybe be annoying too. It looks like the layout is only 6 panels (3 high, 2 wide) so I guess it wouldn't be all that confusing though? I'm assuming the randomisation is just the contents of the rooms and not their actual layout

To be fair, the user I'm referring to I know isn't making anything up. But they're also not saying anything extraordinary either. Just general stuff like the marketing budget for Smash 4 or details about the staff being composed of members of HAL, Sora and Bamco. People decided to jump on the remote possibility of delay for the Wii U version and run too far with that.

Curious to hear more if you care to elaborate.

Stage tonight again!

Please be DK!

New stage tonight!

Some Nostradamuses we have tonight :P

The tomodachi stage looks pretty good. I don't think we've had a stage shaped like it before.

That Ridley looks like a gamecube render. I think it may be cropped from the Melee intro. Dark Pit's portrait is straight from the official KI:Uprising artwork.

Pretty amateurish fake.

So I played the 3ds smash bros at comic con and I didn't like it that much.

I'm going to play it again tomorrow to see if I change my mind.

I guess what I didn't really enjoy is that if I hit another opponent the opponent doesn't really bounce away from your punches.

The physics just felt off because of that.

The controls weren't working all the time but I'm assuming that issue will be fix when the official game comes out.

Soo, which characters did you play? Which attacks (tilts, smashes, specials)? etc.

How so? The controls did take getting used to, but worked fine when I demoed it at Best Buy.

The demo I played at Best Buy seemed fine to me. Everything I expected was happening, just at a faster rate than Brawl. You should probably play it again, maybe that copy was glitchy.

Were you using jabs or tilts and smashes? Jabs (tapping a with no directional inputs) tend to juggle your opponent until you land your finishing attacks. To do a finishing attack keep mashing a until it comes out. Tilts (tapping a with a direction pressed) and smashes (tapping a and a direction at the same time) tend to knock your opponent back. Attacks landed on a low damage % opponents won't knock them back very far. You have to rack up % then use smashes and tilts to KO your opponent.

Are you using the circle pad? The circle pad takes some getting used to if you never used it before. Because it only moves in a flat plane and has no indentations to help differentiate directions it can be difficult for you to tell whether or not your pressing horizontally or diagonally. I had trouble inputting direction at first but I've long since grown used to it and it works beautifully for me.

I played mega man first, his down smash and up smash were really powerful and enjoyable to use.

I then played bowser, he gotten faster in some of his moves but I felt he is slightly weaker now.

And finally I played Samus last, I didn't really notice the difference with her besides her whip when she grabs, it's much bigger now.

I only played these characters for a couple of minutes each. Tomorrow I'm going to try to play it more and have a better feel at it.

I also going to play the other new Nintendo games too which I'm pretty excited about!!
