Thats the only news I needed.

Well that and Messi's shockingly bad new hairdo.

Not sure if this was posted or not, but Martin Blackburn definitely has very good contacts at City.

@City_Watch: The fee for Rodwell is £10.25m with up to £3m in add-ons, City have informed @SunMartinB. So could potentially reach £13.25m in future.

Edit: I see that the Daily Mail have edited their earlier story with the £7m figure to include the same.

If you want to believe that, feel free.

But there's not a fucking chance it is true.

I read we're interested in Rodriguez from Lazio by the way. Some Uruguayan midfielder. He should fulfill the role Poulsen had before.

We are so shit as selling out players. We keep them for too long.

£10m+ for Rodwell in insane. He's not even that good and he's always, always, injured.

Levy always does this, all clubs do this. The first bid is always to unsettle the player, like when Chelsea offered us £22m for Modric. Once the player is ready to force his way out, you can start making serious bids.

Levy will wait until Southampton have signed some players, maybe even played their first couple of games, and then make serious offer which will be accepted and the player will be sold. Exactly like what we did with Bale, we waited until we'd made enough signings for the fans to accept the sale. If Scheiderlin wants to leave as badly as it seems, then we will make a decent offer, one that we know will be accepted. It's not like this is unusual for Spurs, we always leave major signings until late in the window.
Last week you said the deal would have been done by weeks end?

Will probably check out at leas the first half of MLS Allstars vs Bayern tomorrow. See what kind of nonsense Pep lines the team up in.

“I definitely think I can fit into the way he plays.

"Everyone has got to adapt to the way he wants to play, but I don’t think I have got to make much adaptation because he likes passers, movers and people who understand the game and I feel that I am a thinker on the pitch so hopefully I will do well under him.”

LOOOOOOOOL THIS INTERVIEW
http://www.*****************/sport/...assimo-Cellino-mess-engulfed-Elland-Road.html

Leeds United don't even own their chairs: owner Massimo Cellino on the mess to have engulfed Elland Road

......

New signings are forbidden from staying at the Malmaison in the city centre because the hotel’s colour scheme is purple, a colour Cellino believes is bad luck.

...

It’s a complicated recruitment structure, and some connected with the club have reservations. Chesterfield centre back Liam Cooper, for example, was chased after Salerno watched him play just once, in a pre-season draw against Leeds. Then negotiations broke down over money.
Hockaday, paid between £80-90,000 compared to the £750,000 salary his predecessor McDermott had earned, wanted a 31-year-old defender available on a free, but Cellino refused.
‘He has asked me about five or six players,’ said the Italian before unintentionally damning his new manager: ‘Don’t forget where he came from; league five.
‘Talking with managers of Premier League clubs, Championship clubs, is a new thing. He’s like a baby, who is in a toy shop.’

....

His biggest financial saving to date, however, has been in renegotiating with former majority owners Gulf Finance House over how much the Italian would ultimately pay for his 75 per cent share.
Under the terms of the contract, Cellino agreed to buy the club for £11m and also service debts of £24m, much owed to GFH or associates of the Middle Eastern bank. But after studying the accounts, Sportsmail can reveal, Cellino threatened to take legal action against GFH before convincing them to restructure the deal.
In our conversation, he declined to go into exact figures, but did say: ‘The issue was very strange. The numbers, they were not true. GFH were not able to understand what they were talking about. They were not even able to run a fruit shop.
‘When I bought the club it was technically bankrupt. I met GFH and told them, “We need to stop fighting. If not, we go to war with the lawyers.” They agreed.
‘I don’t like to see the blood. It’s better if you get what you want without fighting. In six months I spent £1.5m on lawyers. Now GFH have 25 per cent of a company worth 10 times what it was before.’

....

Cellino promised to purchase Elland Road as soon as he took over but was swamped by unforeseen payments elsewhere and the wrangle with GFH. The £11m sale of Ross McCormack could be used and he has pledged to pay £16m before November.
Cellino’s sale of the club’s best player has enraged fans, but he has a different view of events.
He explained: ‘Ross McCormack is a beautiful player. I didn’t come to Leeds to sell Ross McCormack. But for him I was nothing, a new owner, he’s got a lot of money from Fulham, the chance to live in London. What can I say? I love you McCormack, stay with me?
‘He doesn’t give a f***. He didn’t show up to training. He didn’t fly with the club to pre-season. I was so p***** off that when Fulham called me I asked them for £10m to make them not buy the player. They said yes! Bloody hell.

‘David Hockaday, the first day he heard McCormack wanted to go he said, “I don’t want him in pre- season, sell him”. I told Hockaday, “Did I ask your f****** advice? No. So shut the f*** up”.’

What's taking United so long with Vidal, ffs? Sell Fellaini to Napoli, buy Vidal. How hard can it be?

Sampaoli allegedly said LvG has worries bout dat knee.

Which makes sense when you have 60m+ pounds in the front of your mind. But seems like Vidal is a shitload more likely to continue beasting than Strootman is.

Also, Napoli are taking the fucking piss over minuscule loan fees. They want Fellaini for buttons and dinner with mama de Laurentiis. Wooders, if he's one-tenth of the man he needs to be, is scrawling "LIRE, TWATS" and mashing the fax button.

Sampaoli allegedly said LvG has worries bout dat knee.

I don't get this. It's not like it was a cruciate ligament injury. He was playing in the WC three weeks after surgery. He's fully fit now, training with the team. Is this an attempt to lower the price or something? His knee might explode tomorrow for all we know, but so far there's been zero evidence. The way he immediately bounced back suggests the exact opposite, if anything. Just pay the 60M€ and be done with it.
