I'm just enjoying the feeling of being new to it all.

Don't let the bastards get you down mate.

Don't let the inevitable implosion when we go out of multiple competitions in the space of a few weeks get you down either. ;)

Seriously though now is a great time to be an Arsenal fan, the team are playing some really entertaining football. I'd love a domestic cup double and a good run in the champions league but we'll see.

If you prepare for this anything better than that will come as a positive.

Hahaha. Can't look to the past if I've never been part of it! I'll just have to experience it for myself. I will just say that I hope that are good, and more importantly consistently good.

I like Linius, I think if anything he's tempering expectations. Which isn't a bad thing, and I tend to do it with my American football team. I just find it hard as a new guy to do that here.

Seems like Eto'o's corpse is actually taking his talents to Amsterdam. I have no idea what to think of it.

Edit: it's not a done deal yet BTW.

I'd welcome him with open arms. Think it would be pretty cool to have him in Amsterdam. As seen today (again) Milik is far from ready. You can't miss sitter like that and be invisible for most of the game. Eto'o would be a nice addition to our strikers and brings experience.

But most importantly, we can't lose Blind. Or we must get a good replacement. I like Viergever, but he needs to be transformed to his new position first if Frank really wants him at 6. He's never played that role before and that takes time.

Nobody thinks Arsenal will win the league, not even the most optimistic of Arsenal fans.

Linius you plum.

Are you calling me a fruit? pls

Looking like it. The Samba boys aren't cutting it.

I can understand Oscar *might* be a combination of tired/unfit, he's played like 160 games in 2 years or something stupid I think? Perhaps he should have had a longer rest.

But the rest have no excuse, they also didn't play much at the World Cup.

And I like Arsenal. They even have a statue outside their stadium for a club legend of ours.

You can hardly call what Oscar did on the last 1/3 of last season playing, it was him resting on the pitch

Hope it is not too serious.

Parody Daily Mail twitter account saying 6 months. He'll probably be fine

True, but that might also be because he's played too much (as shit as it was). If he needs a rest still, then he needs to say it, otherwise he needs to shape up and put in performances or he'll just get benched and you know he will be a little bitch about that.

Possibly, but he hasn't played well all this year. He needs to do whatever he can to get is mojo back.

That's what I expect us to look like for the majority of the season. We have varying degrees of coverage for every single position there. Obviously, still very thin up front unless Drogba is able to turn the clocks back three or four years, but I think this is the strongest squad we've had in quite a few years.

Finally got around to the Arsenal / City highlights. Looks like it could've been 4 or 5 nil. This is Wenger's season.

The trick will be building up such an unassailable lead that when Arsenal falls apart in the last 6 games as usual they still can't lose.

Herbert Chapman?

Bergkamp assuming the Dutch connection

Yes sir. He's our current assistant manager next to good old Frankie.

The first match at the current Arsenal stadium was his testimonial game between Ajax and Arsenal. So many legends in one place that day.

Bergkamp will one day return to Arsenal. I'm convinced of this.

The fixture list is pretty generous to us in the business end of the season, so I wouldn't bet on us falling apart.

Like, we didn't collapse in November despite it being "the Arsenal cycle."

He'd definitely be our best striker. My only concern is how much he's regressed and if he's going to be worth the money we'll be spending on his contract. I have faith that he'll rip the Eredivisie a new one.

Blind needs to stay but it seems like he's being sought after by several teams now. He's our only hope to be a quality side in CL, without him we need time to get good again.
