More gamescom details announced!

Visitors will be able to check out Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gameplay not only via the previously-announced Preview Show, but also on the gamescom show floor itself; a 25 minute presentation, shown in a dedicated theatre area, will offer those who attend an exciting look at the various different methods at Snake’s disposal for infiltrating enemy territory.

Due to the sheer scale of its content and huge open-world environments, METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN will be shown via an all-new gameplay presentation. A dedicated theatre area will be used to show key aspects of Hideo Kojima’s latest opus, with the 25-minute presentation offering a tantalising glimpse at the unlimited ways of infiltrating that the new title offers, as Snake picks his way through one of the game’s desert-based locales. In honour of the game’s inhospitable environs, KONAMI will also project a vivid vista of a desert on the side of the theatre, which turns from day to night as seen in the game.

KONAMI will also be hosting a special evening event on the eve of the show. To be held at Cologne’s Musical Dome venue, series creator Hideo Kojima will appear on stage at the 1700-seater auditorium to give a one-off presentation of METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN in an evening that promises to answer many questions, and will also offer a few surprises! Doors will open for this adult-only event at 18:30 on August 13th. Deluxe seats will also be given away through various competitions, and KONAMI will ensure seats are available to interested parties on the night.

Both METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN and PES 2015 will also be offering special pre-order discounts for the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One versions to gamescom attendees, with a five Euros discount available to anyone reserving a copy for at launch. A merchandise stall will also be in Hall 10, showcasing new items for both games and others from the KONAMI portfolio.

Looks like they will show the game all week long for visitors at the Konami booth.

It saddens me to see that very active poster in this thread and in the old thread are not even in this collage.... :/

I'm only 3 times in it but that's ok because i don't really need to be in but when a active user wants in and is not it makes me a bit sad :(

immortal-joe should have probably used the Wall of Shame to see who posted how much but now it's too late and whatever... it is what it is now... we didn't had much time for this anyway... let's get HYPE for Sony press conference in 1 hour and 30 minutes!

We probably won't see anything of MGSV.

It's been very difficult to contain my excitement. Especially will be tomorrow. I'm stuck on vacation with my girlfriend and her family until friday with my phone and a shitty signal in Big Bear California until Friday. Can someone here do me a huge favor and record/upload the stream to youtube the second it's done and then PM me a link?

It'd be greatly appreciated.

Dude, KONAMI will make it available asap. I'm sure you will find a lot of uploads on Youtube shortly after the event.

i know you've already been answered and i'm not trying to be rude, but it's right there in the OP

on another note, i'm conflicted about this presentation. on one hand, i can't wait to see more but i'm liiiiiittle disappointed that it will be more desert, then on the other bright red fully-functional prosthetic hand, i don't want them to show too much. and i want a release date!
 
OK guys

I'm still at the printer. The girl who works there has a lot of experience with photoshop etc and she was very impressed with Joe's mosaic. She was even a little jealous :lol she really liked the result!

We did a test print on 29x29cm and it looked OK... in the end though... we went for 60x60cm. Not only is it huge with barely any quality loss...

...YOU CAN SEE EVERY SINGLE AVATAR IN HIGH DETAIL. NO BLURRY MESS OR ANYTHING. YOU CAN SEE EVERYONE WITHOUT USING A LOOKING GLASS...

I'll take a pic when I'm home. Result is better than expected.

That I know. But am sure we are getting a release date. That 5 euros off is a clear indication.

By the way man, I am just thinking if Hayter does not show of in MGS5. What are we gonna do man?What is Team A gonna do man?

What if Kojima really ditched us...the true Metal Gear fans? I fear :(
