Question; is moving to community a permanent sentence in this case for; A; a game that isn't even out yet, and B; a topic that get's new iterations only slightly faster than Assassin's Creed games?

Not to say i'm on board with it; took me a few months when I was lurking to find out where the Wonderful 101 OT went... ¬_¬
 
I'd like to think that non-english speakers lurk these threads and see stuff like the fan-made Lucina alt picture, and the Mia art and go "oh they are having a fun rational discussion about potential alts"

I think about this a lot.

Actually, most of Fox's alt colors in Brawl are references to other games (the red, green and blue alts all are also in Assault's multiplayer, though I'm sure THAT is actually taking the colors from Smash in the first place lol). The only one that was unique there was the black alt, and possibly the white alt (tho it seems it could be a reference to Adventures).

All of Ike's costumes reference Fire Emblem stuff (yellow costume = Greil, red costume = enemy units, green costume = allied units, cyan costume = his vanguard class, and the gold/beige one is based on mages). Same goes for Marth (red and green again are enemy/allied units, white = Leif, bright blue = artwork from Monsho no Nazo) - only one that was unique to Smash was the black alt.

All of Sheik's colors were corresponding to Zelda's. There wasn't much they could do without fucking that up (which is also the case for Zero Suit Samus).

And for Rosalina, well, we got fire Rosalina as an alt. There's not much else they can do with her dress, either.

I'll give you Ganondorf, though I couldn't think of something that'd work except for colors based on his appearances in other games, which mostly are brown too.

Be honest, Fire Emblem alt discussion is better than what was before it.
 
It's awful, it's hideous, he's the ugliest character in the game when he was one of the coolest in brawl and it's awful and I hate it and I have a rock in my shoe but I don't want to retie my laces so I'm just going to be VERY UPSET.

Oh man, I love Ike's design! All of the colors pop now, the armor has a cool sculpted look, and of course he looks hella rugged now, which makes him visually distinct from girly-man Marth and boot-licious Lucina.

I preferred his PoR look too, but I'm digging his look in smash 4.
