Nice to see that last night's POTD actually delivered. I too was pretty sure Ganondorf had a chance to be revealed tomorrow but that's likely not the case any more. Cool to see Classic Mode taking some nods from KI:U. I do hope we get an Adventure Mode as well though. That was pretty fun. I'd also like to see true, character specific Break the Targets and Board the Platforms back though I recognize those become harder to do with each iteration of Smash.

Also, this good Kirby ginjika I've ever seen (but it's really good)

Well, to be fair, excluding the 3rd party characters, only 3 unlockable newcomers in Brawl (2 if you consider Young & Toon Link to essentially be the same character), so the majority of unlockables being vets isn't unheard of.

Lucina, Pac-Man and Mega Man. All the others are starters imho.
A lot of the revealed veterans are going to be unlockables though. Ike, Meta Knight, Captain Falcon, Toon Link, Luigi, Lucario, Sheik, Zero Suit Samus and Sonic me thinks.

I would love the starter roster to be just the original 12.

You are arguing semantics here. Hand-drawn animation is traditionally categorised differently from animation done with 3D models, which is what people refer to when saying CGI.

I'd still say that it's enough of a precedent that it's crazy to say there's no chance someone like Ice Climbers, Lucas, Wario etc. could be pushed into being unlockable because Sakurai had to reveal most of the newcomers as part of the hype cycle.

Maybe the Miis, yes. But since they obviously have a shit-ton of things to unlock (moves and items), maybe they're not.
Palutena is definitely a starter imho, just because. I see her in the same position of Meta and DDD in Brawl.

Hahaha I'm wiser than -affirming- something's gonna happen when Sakurai's on charge, just saying that, up until now (aah Dojo flashbacks), no character introduced as a starter has become unlockable in a later game. Just stating the precedent, by no means guaranteeing I can predict the Masahiro Storm.

That's really what I'm hoping for. I'm not expecting a lot either, but I'm just wondering if Sakurai will just say "Fuck it! Here are all the characters! Have fun!" or keep some super secret until the eventual leaks start trickling out.
