Latest in the Royal Knights, marking the 12th known of a total of 13, and it's no doubt that Hackmon is probably the Child form of Gankoomon, though if this will be part of the plot of the new series, who knows.

Since it's been a while since Savers, they could always revisit the Royal Knights. Though it could stand to Alienate the fanbase if Taichi ends up with a new partner, unless of course, Omegamon of the Royal Knights is the one and the same that We've become aware of. There's honestly a lot they can do. But I doubt they will have, yet another, passing of the torch story with another Child + Tai.
Seems like a strong Digimon. They have been trained by these two:
Sistermon
and
Sistermon Noir
A nun with guns. I love Digimon lol
I wonder how a Royal Knight arc would play out, considering how Omegamon and Magnamon have human partners. Dukemon vs Omegamon fight? hell yeah.

Very excited for this. Digimon was my very first exposure to Japanese animation. And Tai was my favorite character too.
From what the teaser showed, it sounds like it is based solely around Tai. It did only mention him and not the other digidestined, Maybe a pseudo adaptation of the manga?
Alright, I finished 02. It's crazy how actually really tightly paced this show is. You really notice it when you can binge. Every fight or occasional exposition dump is substantial. There's no effort to constantly waste your time while still jacking you up for the next episode like, say, Dragon Ball. (The fact DB ran every week day didn't really make this much better.)
Anyway, yeah. It was great. I really like "Million Points of Light". I will be that guy. Sure.
Random thoughts:
-I notice the dub only explicitly says Ken and Yolei are married. Are there more official couples in the JP version?
-OMG Mimi would totally host a cooking show! I can totally see it! Perfect!
-Izzy's mom is adorable. In 01 and 02. She has a great design.
On to Tamers again, now. Four episodes in. I guess I respect the strides to make the scenario more believable (Guilemon is like a dog, digivolved Digimon have self-control issues), but at the same time, I miss the immediacy of Adventure where the Digimon were highly intelligent/fairly knowledgable from the outset and clicked with their partners instantly.
Goggles were a minor story point in the manga too, and there is no known child digimon for V-dramon that we know about. It might be another digimon for Taichi.

Huckmon was a really small part of the PSP game. From the vids on youtube, the game is pretty much a retelling of the show, so nothing new really happens.
Also Pegosaurus, enjoy the amazing soundtrack while watching the subs version.
I also dont get Guilmons design. He was meant to be stronger than Agumon but he is virus type. Arent they weaker against Agumon's vaccine type? Interesting design choice :v

Honestly, I doubt there will be(though funny enough, it would totally make sense for the characters) but I did find it odd how they're supposed to be official and yet they get no mention while Yolei/Ken does. It felt like they were divorced.
I just started my rewatch of S01 and actually compared the beginning to the English dub. I didn't know they chose Tai as a narrator in the English version, that's weird.

I'm actually watching the German dub which is narrated by an anonymous narrator. It's the same in the JP version, I think, which wouldn't be too surprising given that the German translation is usually pretty close to the source material in most cases. Way better than what you guys got, sorry.
Edit: Ah, I stand corrected. Wonder if they kept this for German dub. I'll find out when I get to
In the first season of Adventure, the digi-dudes and dudettes had to figure out the pattern to open the correct portal home.
Izzy figures out most of it (as per usual) but is stuck on two cards that can both possibly be correct, Agumon and Gomamon.
Tai, by luck, picks Gomamon and everyone gets home. Yay!
However, this isn't the last we see of these cards.
At the end of Adventure 02, Oikawa is finally going to make it to the Digital World!
But oh-oh, what's this?
Nah, man. This is the Dahli World. But how could Oikawa get it wrong?
Well, Oikawa is using the same card method as in the first season, but instead of Gomamon, he chooses the superior Agumon.
Spoiler for those who care:
You could say Vamdemon made him get it wrong.
This is never outright stated (only briefly shown) and the dub says it was because of Blackwargreymon.
(Let's pretend he had anything to do with the plot.)
