I understand that. I'm gong to be straight with y'all. I have been wanting to see Playable Duck Hunt Dog ever since Melee since Duck trophy appeared there, and I have special place for Duck Hunt NES in my heart for several reasons. I already got 6 characters that I wanted. Here is a link if you want to see top wanted characters.
I don't think I will get more characters that I wanted, and it's just a bad joke that someone is playing with me.

So in today's updates they posted musicians involved in the 3DS version. I didn't see anyone from the Rhythm Heaven games. Perhaps I wasn't looking hard enough.
But I'm thinking this is a negative for chorus men playable or a rhythm heaven stage.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how upset will you be if the pictures (not the 'DLC Leak') are real?
Remember, there is still potential for 5-6 characters to be unlocked (or be made DLC), if the DLC part isn't real.

1 is: I'm actually really happy with the leaked roster

I disagree. In fact, another reason why I think the leak is fake is because there is no Rhythm Heaven stage, which would be perfect for Smash. Let me guess, that's DLC too, rite?

I'd be pretty upset, but I'm not going to boycott the franchise over it. I'll just have to be more vocal about my support for K. Rool in the future.

There isn't anyone who worked on Fire Emblem: Awakening either, and we know Awakening music is in the game. It doesn't mean a whole lot. The list is just people who are arranging music for the game, so all the music could be directly from the original games, or it's arranged by people who didn't originally work on it.

I'm on Team Fake only because of Lucas not being there Day One but as long as there is DLC I'm OK with it.

Yeah, Heath, I was being 100% sarcastic. I'm not going to miss afoni in the slightest; he/she was a unilaterally negative, frustrating presence here. This pre-release hype is supposed to be fun and exciting, not negative!

I'm actually something of a recent Miku convert. I always knew about the Vocaloids and it seemed like something I'd love, but I just never got around to checking it out. Then UDON got the Miku license and I edited the books and played Project Diva F as part of my job, and I fell in love. I love Japanese rhythm games anyway, so honestly Miku was always going to be right up my alley.
I honestly mean no ill will by this to you Benzy but I needed an excuse to post this gif and this worked out nicely lol

Roster: 2 because perfection doesn't exist and we lost a couple of good characters, but it's still absolutely awesome.
Stage: 7 legit scared what the fuck is this but wait who cares, WiiU version will be just a month away.
1 if the DLC characters were actually in the game, or if it's included on-disc in the initial Wii U release and there's no more DLC.
Like 2 if everything is exactly as is. I'm not a fan of character DLC at all (or any DLC, but characters would affect me). I'm not the happiest with some of the UI choices, but I could live with it. Especially if it only affects the 3DS version. The 3DS game is just a light snack to tide me over for Wii U release.
There are characters I still wish were in. Would have loved to see Mewtwo come back. Or to see Isaac make it. Or Ridley, or Takamaru, or Sukapon. I don't really like DHD Dog as a playable. But realistically, this roster is a little beyond what I expected (aside from all the ridiculous cuts).

The traditional Rhythm Heaven composer is undergoing cancer treatment as of late, I hear, so there's no way that they'd be able to work on the game this year.
The games these composers worked on don't mean much of anything, though. We saw tons of composers handle remixes of songs from games they had no connection to in Brawl.

4, I guess. The only old favorite of mine they've dropped is Ivysaur, and I got some characters I really wanted (Pallutena, Rosalina, Robin). I think some of the choices are rather odd though, but one of them is basically confirmed even without the leak (Dark Pit)... However, like I've talked about before, making veterans DLC really annoys me. Nintendo had done a great job making sure DLC seemed like extra content so far, but this would just seem like content cut out of the main game.
I understand from the point of view of development time and resources, but it seems odd that it came down to that when this game doesn't seem to have new basic mechanics, often the characters have new models, but no actual design changes, and most of what's known about the single player is how they've cut a big feature of the previous game...
If we were going to get a Kid Icarus clone, I'd have preferred Medusa, Viridi, or almost anyone else who could fit. Dark Pit will look and move like Pit, and that just seems pointless. At least some other goddess would look different from Pallutena, even with reused animations.
Dr.Mario only is annoying to me due to Zelda's situation, with no new characters since Melee. I'd easily take Impa as a Sheik clone, for example, or maybe even Demise as a Ganondorf clone. And there's also Pokemon actually having a reduced cast this time...

Someone tell me what was in the leak. I couldn't make out much from it.
If it's just the roster that's the same I don't mind. I was already happy with the roster and my favourites are in. Ice Climbers would be missed but I wouldn't be upset over their absence and I have no dream characters I'm still praying for.
Stages is mixed. There's a lot of new stages, but a lot of them are in the same series. However this is already known (the Mario stages, Zelda stages and Pokémon stage). What the leak is telling us is that series currently unrepresented are likely to just get returning stages. That's not great. Of course leak info always seems to focus on characters so who knows maybe even the stage list in incomplete.
The thing which I have beef with mostly is the look of the UI. Honestly I'm not a fan and Smash is one of those series I feel you can be upset by bad UI simply because of who is responsible for it. Also the fact the rest of the game looks good so it's a shame one of the most important screens looks phoned in.
Saving grace however is the leak could be true but UI was still work in progress and still subject to change. Thing is it does its job so I can't get overly annoyed with it.
So I guess I'm so middle of the road on it I'll go with a middle of the road 5.

I don't know exactly, maybe the 5-7 range? I'm totally fine with the roster - the only disappointing bit is no ICs, but I never actually play as them, I just want them there because their Smash staples by now - but the stage selection is just awful. Several major franchises not getting a single new stage (this is the biggest reason I think it's fake, too,) and a glut of retro stages, most of which are mediocre (Green Hill Zone, Mushroomy Kingdom, Flat Zone,) would make this the worst stage selection Smash has ever had.

I love all the stages shown off so far, but yeah the more the better.
I'm wondering what 'Mii' stage there's going to be in the Wii U version, though. Tomodachi Life reps Miis real well on the 3DS, and there's also the Find Mii stage so that's already two levels.
I'd guess Wuhu Island, but that's part of the Pilotwings stage. Unless that's supposed to be the Mii stage there, due to how Pilotwings Resort was a Mii-focused game. I guess that would be okay. I'd still like to see something more interesting.
I also wish 3DS's Storybook level was on Wii U too.

The 3DS stage selection looks abysmal, especially if the leak turns out to be real. Five Mario stages and no new DK, Metroid, or Star Fox stages? Sakurai was clearly lying when he said both games would offer the "full" Smash experience.
I wanted to confirm my suspicions that most people on team fake are there because they're not happy with the roster, but it turns out, so far, that I've been mostly wrong. Most people are ok with or happy with the leaked roster. I need more data to tell for sure though.

Is that gameboy shot a direct shot from a gameboy game? Is that kirby? If so, is it pulled directly from the game, or is it 'based on' kirby?
5 I would say. Even after all these days, I still can't say anything about it either way.

Mario getting so many reps with Metroid and Donkey Kong only having 2 is just wrong. I really want Dixie and Ridley and to be honest they're needed for balance if there are 4 Fire Emblems reps and 3 Star Fox ones.
Unlike Lucina Dark Pit and Dr. Mario feel so superfluous. Dark Pit is his own characters but his design is a palette swap of Pit. He's really not visually unique. Dr. Mario is just a version of Mario that throws pills and like above he adds to many Mario spots.
Duck Hunt Dog is just weird. I honestly don't know how to feel. I like weird choices like ROB or Wii Fit Trainer but DHG'😕s significance seems so small even compared to a single game character like Takamaru. I mean the dude just laughed at you. What's so interesting?

If not then damn it's shit, but mostly fake.
I like all of the legit stages though.

Who here is hoping that Sakurai reuses the achievement system from Kirby Air Ride and Kid Icarus: Uprising? Not like Brawl did it though - I want HUNDREDS of achievements
I love the stages so far, just the balance in the franchises is a little off. Still no new Donkey Kong stage baffles me.
Also I hope many of the 3DS stages end up in the WiiU at some point. Paper Mario stage must be in HD. I just hope, at least in the WiiU version, they're going to be more than 50.

As someone in the grey, probably a 6. The characters included to bulk up the roster (Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, Lucina) do nothing for me as characters and represent play styles I'm well accustomed to (Brother has mained Mario since 64; Marth and Pit are my two series mains, not terribly interested in direct clones of them [although I do respect that Dark Pit has Falco like potential vs vanilla Pit]). While Duck Hunt Dog is a cool gesture and I'd be super happy for fans of the character, I don't feel terribly strongly towards him myself. He's like the new Ridley for me in that regard. The thing that pushes this past indifference for me though is the lack of Lucas/Wolf/Ice Climbers/Snake, the latter two especially given that Ice Climbers are as unique as it gets and don't have any reason to miss a Smash party and Snake is fun as hell and started the "guest character" hype.

All stages that aren't FD or Battlefield will have an icon, we just haven't seen Tomodachi Life's yet while Living Room was covered in the direct and the icon was shown then.

The 3DS stage selection looks fantastic so far (amazing how much the stages the leak adds drags this down lol.) 3D Land, Golden Plains, and Green Hill Zone look like duds, but other than that, there's some great stuff here. Prism Tower and Rainbow Road look good, and I'm super excited for the Paper Mario stage.

One of my issues with the stage choices is not just that there's Mario bias, but stages like Golden Plains are for no one's benefit.
Golden Plains and Mushroom Kingdom U will be Bowser Jr.'s home stage!
Honestly, this is a series that had Ice Climbers as a newcomer at one point. Sakurai must have one hell of a good fighter design in mind to bring him into this game as a playable. That much I don't doubt.
