Its our Kingdom Hearts rep.

lol

Or it could be Goofy.

Pluto + Goofy confirmed.

Some people are claiming that during a live chat he outright admitted BS.

Logo is apparently on the bottom screen in menus.

From what I've seen, he said MASTERLINKX from Smashboards is outright spreading false information, which, according to what I've heard, lines up.

Still doesn't mean this guy is anymore truthful.

Ya know, my friends? That Sakurai took his sweet time to reveal each of the characters we know of so far really made me appreciate just how many are in the game. To think there's still the likes of Wario, Ganondorf, Mr. G & W, Falco, etc. left to be confirmed. Truly a colossal amount, AND this is while he's dividing his attention between two whole games. Sakurai's the man.
In the case of Ganondorf, G&W and Falco they've always been secret characters so it makes sense. Wario was a starter before though, and one of the first revealed characters in Brawl at that.

My source has told me that he was in fact an ESRB employee. And he has come clean after the pictures went viral. He has since lost his job. (im assuming this is ok to say because my source mentioned this in one of the quotes from my last topic)

I call bs.

So now 3DS stages, veterans, and even Multi Man Melee can make or break this leak.
Brace for more Smash Run pics.

:lol MORE LEAKS?! Geez, that's why I think it's definitely fake. That guy just confirmed there is a group of people having the pictures.

It came so close to my theory where there is a group of people worked together to make fake renders and leaks, just fool a lot of people.

Considering most of the additional leaks don't have much in the way of meaningful new content; it seems likely they're just completely unrelated people fabricating materials, with no connection to the original leaker / cabal of mysterious frauds.

Guys, what wold you do if Shulk ain't in the game?
Be blue balled.

So, you believe the leak to be real? I usually trust your opinion, Neo. I'm asking this of Heath and BGBW, too. You three usually have similar opinions on stuff to my own, so, just wondering, and it's hard to keep track of who thinks what regarding the leak since I only have time to follow this thread sporadically.

On the top of the leak, I saw someone post earlier that the Duck Hunt Dog would likely not be included, simply because NOA at the very least would foresee a veritable PR nightmare when the mass media starts saying Nintendo supports hunting. Isn't that alone a reasonable argument against the veracity of the leak? Just wondering what people think about that aspect of this, i thought it was a good point.
I'm on "#TeamFake" because I'm a pessimist when it comes to leaks and it's also more fun to find apparent flaws rather than just accept them to be true. That and I was apparently on that team for the Palutena leak (you can look back and see I never once said I was on that team) so I may as well continue the tradition.

They could get round the controversy issue by calling the character 'Dog'. Of course that would then bring up the issue of why didn't the leaked image call the character 'Dog' (lets not get into the issue that the name 'Duck Hunt' sounds stupid). Nintendo is well known for trying to avoid controversy (and as a result sometimes finding themselves in it) so they would likely consider the repercussions of a hunting based character. Guess it really depends on the move set.

Let me get this straight.

Allegedly, the leaker sent a bunch of pics to various people showing menus and UI.

Now, this guy on GameFAQs is claiming one of the receivers sent him the pics too and gave him permission to post the Multi-Man Melee logo.

Even if the original leak turns out real, this latest stuff sounds like bull.

That is the main reason I don't believe the leak is for real.
Too big of a PR-nightmare, which seems to be the reason Nintendo hasn't done anything with the IP for decades.

I don't usually join the "team x" stuff on any subject, which is probably why you haven't heard/seen me be very outspoken about this on gaf.

I can give your opinion on any particular aspect of it, if you're still doubtful about anything in particular.

But my views are:

1. As a skeptic I find the explanations as to how some evidence must've been faked far more far fetched than the idea of a leak. (e.g. famitsu foresight + tons of coincidence)

2. As an artist I am outright impressed by the model quality of every new model.

a.(Shulk outright looks better than in xenoblade. I don't even like Shulk's design and he looks good here.)

b. Duck hunt dog's "redesign" is extremely well thought out and lovable. visual design was one of my main gripes with DhD and I absolutely love how this version looks. (a big flaw with most fakes isn't model quality, but sheer taste/design.)

c. The rim of the clown car of bowser jr's portrait has very nice glassy texture. I don't know why, but fake renders always fail miserable at glossy textures. That Klonoa fake? The rings look like dull plastic.

3. Just from a historic perspective, a lot of the weird choices in this roster correlate fairly well to the "wtf" discoveries for melee/brawl's rosters. ROB being on Brawl's roster despite being a generic enemy? No faker would do that cause it's stupid and counter-intuitive, that was one of the first signs that made me trust the Brawl roster leak ... fake rosters are always extremely "clean" they lack that "wait what the hell?"-element.

I think it's rubbish to claim 100% certainty about anything just from a scientific standpoint, but the effort required to fake this is a lot more extreme and unlikely
than some ESBR dipsh*t breaking their NDA and snapping 3-4 pictures.

That makes sense to me. I'm not a fan of the hunting connotation with DHD personally, so I do hope he's not actually in, but I can see your points certainly. Thanks for the thoughtful reply.

Need some advice smashgaf. I've won a couple local tournaments at Brawl/Project M and am looking to enter the Brawl one at Dragon Con next weekend. Anyone know how the skill level is there? I'm assuming not high being that the tournament is being run as a free for all.

FYI my mains are Ike/DeDeDe so the casual-esque setup may work I my favor.

Now’s your chance to support the troops. because our next newcomer nomination is:
bkiuih.png

Andy

Notable Appearences
Advance Wars (2001)
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (2003)
Advance Wars: Dual Strike (2005)

Bio
Andy is the main protagonist of the Original Advance Wars Saga. Though young and naive at times, Andy has a knack for mechanics and defends his friends. He is known to be one of the most inexperienced COs in the game. Fighting for Orange Star, Andy teams up with Max, Sami, and Nell to defend their nation when attacked early on by Blue Moon, and then is a key player in uniting Cosmo Land to combat Sturm and the Black Hole Army. The fact that his units have no strengths or weaknesses, coupled with fact that his CO powers allow him to heal his own units, make him a versatile and formidable CO.

What NeoGAF Says

What do you guys think? Do you think Andy has the stuff to take up arms against the Smash Army? Do you think it’s a war crime that the Advance Wars series has had such little presence in Smash Bros.? Do you think it would be super lame if Andy was just a Snake clone?
I sure as hell do!

Note: Unlike veterans, the newcomers being posted are not being revealed in order of most votes due to the amount of different choices; I'm just sharing the ones I find most interesting. However, for the last five newcomers, I will present those in order as the newcomers who got the most votes.

Man this makes me sad Andy will probably never be in a smash game :(

It's not fabricated in that regard. There's a reason why a bunch of seemingly unconnected people from various boards (4chan, Smashboards, Gamefaqs and a couple other places) supposedly are attesting to this video that leaked from the ESRB existing, which has been the source of all the screens we've seen thus far. Now, is it possible there is one man just chugging away at Photoshop endlessly creating a portfolio of material to distribute with the intention of creating mass confusion? It's possible, but some of the people who have seen the video, and the time WHEN they did, leaves me at least open to the possibility this is a legitimate leak, even if I am still naturally skeptical.

Gamefaqs guy is saying if we "convince" his source, he will leak images of the All-Stars menu with unique poses.

Note, menus, again.

I can't help but imagine this as a Pokemon-Amie sort of thing. What are we supposed to feed fake leakers...? What's their nature?

I'm somewhat familiar with Ness on GameFAQs. He's been around for years. I'll be disappointed if he's lying for attention.

I'm kinda sick of the leakers dangling images over everyone's head. "I have these images but you gotta do some convincing to get them! lol!"

I don't know him well enough, but his account is nine years old. It would be strange for him to latch onto something like this and lie about it.

So so far we have this, Smashboards Mods, and Project M devs staking their reputations on this. If this is fake, that's gonna do a lot of damage to them. Still, I can see that happening.

Thank you for eloquently stating what i've been thinking. I'm with you, neorice.

Sah, make up your mind! Are you on #TeamFake or #TeamReal? lol

Because you looking for this info, and posting things about it, seems like you are on the Real side now. There is no denial. :P
