The idea that the WiiU version will have DLC characters Day 1 seems more likely now.
Would be a good reason among other modes to get that version as well. Plus snake leading the charge in that character pack would be something.

Under Group. You pick Group and that's the regular VS mode -- it's likely CPUs are there until you sync with three other people for local multiplayer or whatever.

It's weird that group is represented by Mario and Luigi vs. a Multi Man Mii. That makes it seem like co-op classic. There might be an Adventure/VS menu right after you click on Smash.
