Bio
Princess Peach, casually Peach, and up until Super Mario 64 referred to as Princess Toadstool, is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach first appeared in Super Mario Bros. and was created by Shigeru Miyamoto to be the damsel-in-distress throughout most Mario games. She resides in her castle along with many Toads. Her kingdom is often attacked by the Koopa Troop, a group led by Bowser. Peach has an affinity for the color pink, which accents her feminine personality and kind temperament. Peach's feminine nature and role as the damsel are often represented with her heart abilities and Princess emblems. Peach's initial design was said to represent her stubborn, yet cute, appearance. Since her debut, Peach has appeared in installments related to the Mario game series for over two decades. Peach is occasionally a supporting character in mainstream games, and almost always playable in spin-off installments. She’s even recently been playable in a mainline Mario game with the release of Super Mario 3D World.

Hehe browsing tumblr images, where Bowser Jr one came from, to Smash Bros came across this XD:

As funny as this is, when all's said and done at the end of the day, I feel bad about this whole video leak situation now.

It's like opening a Christmas Present early. Oh sure, you're really happy and excited about what you got at first, but when your parents find out and confront you about how you've ruined the surprise, then you start to feel guilty.

Seriously, thinking about how Sakurai feels about this entire thing kind of bothers me. It probably really sucks having this big surprise character announcement that nobody sees coming, then this troll who works for you spills the beans to everybody.

It's one thing for it to be a blurry image, or a list from someone anonymous. Those are always fun and are sometimes never on the mark. When we see actual footage, then it really feels like the surprise is ruined.

So.... on a scale of 1-10 how disappointed are you with the stages for the 3DS version? (Assuming the stage select screen image we got is *all* the stages)?

Me? Personally? Definitely like a 4. Too many returning stages and the returning Melee stages that are there are the same ones from Brawl (which are stages I flat out have never liked! Well, except Corneria... Freaking Brinstar and Jungle Japes, though!)

I'm actually going to go one lower with 3.
Looking at the new stages there's some that I like in concept but looks shaky in execution, both Zelda stages for instance can get overwhelmed by their hazards judging from footage seen so far, Reset Bomb Forest for Kid Icarus looks to get a less enjoyable layout after the dropping of the reset bomb. Then there's a few more gimmicky looking outings akin to perhaps Mario Bros in Brawl, Golden Plains and possibly Pac Maze look as if the fight might also be heavily focused on collecting entwined with the fighting which could end up making fights on these stages a bit messy but I can't tell for sure yet.
Moving on Pokemon manages to represent two ends of the spectrum for me, I love that Gen 5 is getting a stage based on the pokemon league/N's castle while possibly bringing back a Spear Pillar like gimmick which is one of my favourite gimmicky stages within the series, then there's the incredibly bland visual outing of Prism Tower that appears to have the weakest implementation of the moving platform stage idea yet in the series.
As someone who really doesn't care for the miis I can't say Tomadachi life and Streetpass quest/find Mii stages do anything for me at all, just one of these mii focused stages would be enough.

But enough of that, I'm avoiding the elephant in the room that is the lack of new stages for returning smash franchises, it's incredibly disappointing that the likes of DK, Metroid and Wario are missing new stages when they have a pool of handheld titles to choose from, Brinstar and Jungle Japes returning for a third time each in particular is pretty damn bad, granted it could've been Rumble Falls so bullet dodged in a way. Yoshi's Island at least is one of my favourite stages in the series so that's the one returning stage I can get behind. Rounding out this selection are stages shared with the Wii U version which in some cases makes perfect sense (boxing ring) and others not so much (Wily Castle).

There's still some we don't know much about for Kirby, F-Zero and Mother, I get the impression Kirby's might suffer from the same issues as Flat Zone with the tiny fighting area, F-Zero's one looks interesting enough and different from the more common moving platform style, Mario Kart seems to have picked that angle up.

Okay so you get the idea, I'm very underwhelmed by the 3DS stage selection. Instead of pushing extra stages for the big hitters (Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Mii related series) they could've shared the wealth and spent time giving other franchises new stages, it really strikes me as odd that they did things like this. If the Wii U version does a stronger job with stage and series representation it's going to make the 3DS version look all the more lesser of the two, while it's too soon to say for sure the stages give off an impression that the 3DS version really is just a midcard smash compared to the main event on Wii U.

Didn't see her being here.Interesting. I just got Super Princess Peach for myself and copy for my daughter for Christmas. I want to learn her in Smash.

If you think this is bad, just imagine how the PlayStation All-Stars devs felt when the entire roster and stage count got leaked MONTHS before the game came out.

That one was leaked by all that information being in the demo they released. That sort of leak happens all the time.

We'd almost never need another smash game again.

You'd kill smash bros. No more eligible newcomers left.

Tingle (The Legend of Zelda)
Paper Mario (Paper Mario)
King K. Rool (Donkey Kong Country)
Captain Syrup (Wario Land)
New Pokémon rep (Pokémon)
Ganon (The Legend of Zelda)
Waddle Dee (Kirby)
Dark Samus (Metroid)
New Fire Emblem rep (Fire Emblem)
Great Tiger (Punch-Out!!)
Masked Man (Mother 3)
Krystal (Star Fox)
Samurai Goroh (F-Zero)
Takamaru (Nazo no Murasamejo)
Mike Jones (StarTropics)
Inkling (Splatoon)

See? We're good for a couple more entries!

They could stop making new characters today and have enough options to last until long after all of us are dead. Newcomers would start diminishing in star power, but they can always start digging deep.
