But from what we did see, he looks mostly the same.
It kinda depends on how the game around him has changed, but most likely he'll still be bad.

I'm going to try and avoid streams, forums(for smash 4), etc until the wii u version comes out. (Its gunna be a long/hard couple months)

Heath, I think in terms of character wants, you came out with the best odds. Who is not in yet that you wanted?

He's still a falcon clone, yes. For all 6-ish of the moves that we saw.
So I just rewatched leak 6, with falcondorf.
All you ever see him do are:
Down smash - now has purple magic effects, back kick swings lower
neutral A - looks the same, hard to tell
Forward tilt - looks the same
up smash - seems to be quicker, has a slashing arc
up special - looks the same.
sword taunt - now has black magic surrounding it
That's it.
Everything else (while likely the same) hasn't been shown off yet. Still hoping one of his specials is new... but I know the chances for that are low.

(sadly no Viridi, but Rosalina, Palutena, Greninja, Robin, Lucina, and Shulk is pretty good)
Alright guys, obviously anything could change, but if this is indeed our final list of newcomers:
How do you feel Smash 4 did with it's newcomer selection? I made this picture so you try and think of the newcomers as a whole, not just the ones leaked.
Me personally? A few missed opportunities aside, fucking stoked. 15 new fighters is nothing to scoff regardless of clones, and you could even bump that number to 17 if you count the Mii Fighter as 3 different characters.
best: Lucina (even though just a clone), Greninja, Baby Bowser, Rosalina
every other newcomer ranges from 'okay' to 'meh' for me. Some of my favorite characters only make an appearance as an assist trophy. I just hope the leak with Ridley and Dixie turns out to be correct, though I doubt it
Well, they kept bestplaystylandorf. But it's fairly hard to tell. There's several important things we don't have a damn clue on. For example, one of the most obvious crippling things from Brawl, no longer regaining a jump after divekicking, is something we just have no clue about.

Advance Wars, Takamaru and Isaac being assist trophies would be fine with me since it's better than being trophy or stickers. Ridley would become stage boss. Third Donkey Kong Country Representative is still unknown (I would prefer to see Cranky or Dixie actually)
Snake is more likely to be cut. I'm very very happy with what I got. Almost all of my wanted characters are in the game at any point. Assist trophy, playable characters, stage hazard, etc.

His moves have been tweaked, they now have purple magic/slashing effects. Their properties are also likely different.
That said, we still don't know his neutral/standard/down special, nor most of his other A attacks.

Yea, that is pretty good. All I really need is Mewtwo. So I super lost if he doesn't make it in.
What is wrong with using the C-stick?!?!!? Its functionality is used different on the Wii U version than previous Smash games. Still for Smash attacks but they aren't instant.
He mostly needs subtle changes to become good again, but I get that gut feeling too.
I agree. So sad. That moveset fits an F-zero character or mach rider much better.

Based on samurai's history so far we should expect there to be a ganondorf classic and a nu ganondorf. All new taste, same great flavor.

Yep, I still want him to be in the game but I knew that he have no chance tho. That list is my wish list because I don't really want to win at my own prize until someone added a new prize to our prize lots which made me regrets afterward. No regrets since I got most of newcomers right!
I'm pretty damn happy with the roster, but my top picks throughout the game's development consisted of Ray MK II, Travis Touchdown, Rocket Slime, Chibi Robo, Mewtwo, N, Ridley, and King K. Rool, so I'll be a bit bummed if, when all this is said and done, not one will have gotten in. But it's looking like that might be the case right now.
I can honestly say that Ganondorf being decloned would have pissed me off more than any cut ever could lol.
EDIT: Holy shit, forgot about my main man Hades. He was also a big, big want, but I forgot about him once it became clear that we were already getting two new Kid Icarus reps.
