Wow at Dan's drunk stories. He seriously needs his own podcast of just wild shit he's done.

Also I cannot stand people like his father. They need some sense smacked into them.

Smash talk?

So, if Jeff isn't excited about (character spoiler)
Duck Hunt Dog
being a fighter, I'll be mildly disappointed. :p

This is depressing. I am in the EXTREME minority as a 36 year old married father who listens to the Giant Bombcast.

Who listens to the podcast AND filled out this survey.

I think the people who would take the time to fill out a survey like this are very likely to skew toward certain demographics.

Jeff, Brad, Dan and Drew.

i love this gif. at that moment in time i dont think there was anyone in the entire universe that was filled with the level of amusement that brad had in those couple of seconds.

Weird, they've way underlooked what the Source 2 tools actually compose of. The point at which you can arbitrarily label Source as Source 2 is the part where maps are no longer brush based. Peace out bsps.

I love that Maximum Overdrive is a movie that gets mentioned quite often on the Bombcast. It's one of my favorites and the guys should really watch it on a stream or something. Would be awesome :)
Watched MO for the first time two weeks ago, and was surprised by how entertaining it was. It's strange, but at the same time really well put together.

dan + jeff not being host has been amazing for this podcast

drew seems like the last person in the world who should play dota. he would have entire rooms filled with notebooks.

Really fun stuff.

I'm glad that the bombcast is joining midroll. This will mean that they will make a lot of money.

Also one of the CEO of midroll said that they paid around $1 million for a podcast deal about a month ago. I'm wondering if it was the bombcast.

I like this Defender of Metal Gear Dan guy. Reminds me of Mangod when he got really passionate about defending games most other press types had already written off.

I would say that Dan is painfully average when it comes to life experience, but that would be in comparison to high school and college kids. I could go as far as to say that I know dumber people out there that i chose to omit from discussion, because they are either relatives or good friends people or people that have no impact on my life anymore.

I have not heard this new Dan story yet, but i will see if i it is anything that can eclipse anything that i have experienced in my life.

I'm right there with you - a married father and avid Bombcast listener.

Although, I'm a year younger than you. You old bastard.

If we're continuing on the survey theme - I'm 37 and a dad of two...

Great podcast as ever - they could make some of the discussions a tiny bit tighter* but other than that it's really good

*e.g. editing out the random list of food restaurants they mentioned but keeping in the general chat about pizza.

Sometimes I feel like Jeff hired Dan for his stories. Like WWE buying a company's tape library so they can use it for WWE network.

Thank god I'm just 30.

42 yr old married father, I'm in single digit percentages in almost all of the categories -- I feel much now than I did when I woke up.

/semi-well educated bunch though
//also, I don't listen a *single* podcast in the pull down selection

I haven't watched any of the Metal Gear stuff yet...does Dan mention why they are playing the original and not the superior Twin Snakes?

The cut scenes and voices are different (and apparent not great) and certain boss fights are broken by the MGS2 engine. Additional reasons apart from his are using the MGS2 engine and leaving the level design unchanged breaks the game design and some of the bosses (revolver ocelot).

The only podcast I could find in the survey question list that I regularly listen to was Super Best Friendcast!. At least it allows you to mention unlisted ones in the question after it (I added Laser Time).

That list of podcasts on the survey sure is dumb. I have over 40 subs in my Downcast, but not a single one that was on the list. Having things like Marc Maron, but no Adam Carolla? Colt Cabana, but no Austin/Jericho/JR/Piper? No Grantland stuff? No sports stuff at all?

Haha me either, I didn't recognize a single one. The only other podcast I listed was RadioLab and I only listen to that a few times a year when I have a long car ride or something.

I didn't look at the survey results page, what is the % for 35+ married, father dude?

It was something like 8% for "36-48", 2% for "Have Kids" and 22% for "Married".

Also, that results page.

A majority of GB listeners are 18-34 year old single males with at least some college under their belts. Who would have guessed?

Wow, that is a pretty tiny number. Vinny really going against the grain here.

Jeff on shooter DLC he purchased:

"Months later I realize, 'Oh right, I paid for those fucking maps. What a dumbass. Well I should download them all and go look at them and play them and go like... I don't like any of these'"

I burst out laughing at work.
