I'm fucking stoked for Shulk, but all of this also makes me sad we never got Issac. Shulk kinda slid into favorable conditions where as Issac fell between the cracks. I'm not saying one took the other's spot, I'm just saying that both GS and Xenoblade hit that niche JRPG crowd and one hit at the right time with a franchise and the other didn't.

I dunno, just kinda bummin. Still 100% excited for Shulk though!

Shulk's shoes always annoy me in this outfit, but whatever at least we're getting half-naked dudes now.

Shulk might want to get that shoulder checked out.

Shulk basically confirms the leak at this point, if it wasn't already confirmed by the video. The only question now is whether the leak spoiled the whole final roster or not. Really looking forward to Bowser Jr! Also Shulk actually looks pretty cool to fight as and t makes me want to play Xenoblade...ugh if only the copy I have wasn't mint condition still wrapped.

EDIT:
Here are the different Monado arts and their effects.
翔 (Jump): higher jumps, lower defense.
疾 (Speed): faster movement, weaker attacks.
盾(Shield): higher defense, slower movement.
斬(Buster): stronger attacks, weaker launch ability.
撃(Smash): Stronger launch ability, weaker attacks, lower defense against launching.

This is actually near identical to the playstyle I theorized about for the character I posted about wanting in Oric's poll. I'm super excited!
 
Woke up and saw the mii PotD and was like damn nothing. Went about my morning getting ready for work, check Gaf on my phone at the train station and holy shit Shulk. And the direct is still going on and dropping bombs!

My body was not ready and I loved every second of it.
 
Another reason I want a Rhythm Heaven rep, is for the awesome art we would get as a result. Basically having a bunch of the vets + Chorus Kids or whomever they choose depicted in the Rhythm Heaven/WarioWare art style.

I also think RH getting a character is pretty likely, since the RH dev team is one that Sakurai definitely must have visited at one point.

I just love the idea of Reyn standing off screen shouting that across the plains, all I'm missing was a follow up during the trailer of "yeah Shulk, get stuck in!".

Metal Face's dub voice brings the hype all the time, can't wait for him to call me WEAK, WEAK AND PATHETIC during a round of smash.

I'm very pleased to see this, despite how scrawny Shulk is. (Dunban & Reyn would of been so much better.) Regardless, it's still great that Nintendo is making the fanservicey alts equal opportunity.

Now hopefully Ike, Captain Falcon, Mr. Fit, and Little Mac have some beefy stuff too.
