It seems like it was only yesterday when I saw the 20 days' GIF...Less than two weeks left, my fellow Smashers!

He did after
Pandora jumped out of him and into the Rewind Spring.
I mean not that we have to be canonically correct. I really made that change because I wanted to differentiate his from Pit and keeping that crazy range while adding damage didn't seem fair.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. Man I love that game.

Oh, we're talking about the worst Smash stages ever? Allow me to contribute my picks:

64:

Nothing was actually bad enough to be considered one of the "worst" IMO, but Mushroom Kingdom was my least favorite. Looking back on it, 64's stages were all pretty sweet, actually.

Melee:

- Big Blue
- Brinstar Depths
- Icicle Mountain
- Rainbow Cruise
- Venom

Brawl:

- 75m
- Hanenbow
- Mario Bros.
- Mushroomy Kingdom
- Rumble Falls
- Skyworld

I actually love a lot of the other super unpopular stages, like Spear Pillar, Frigate Orpheon, New Pork City, and Poké Floats.

I still can't understand how such a peepy Game has this...thing as a final boss.

It's really not that peppy, though. Honestly, there's a certain bleakness/darkness that pervades the whole game, and that's one of the reasons why EarthBound is so brilliant. Even without considering Giygas, it's an incredibly dark game but it's VERY clever and pervasive with how it presents that darkness. The breezy, silly art style makes it even better in that sense.

Well, that happens when fags want gay swordmen as characters

Well now. Glad that guy got the swift, vicious ban he deserved!

It kind of amazes me how little of KI: U remember despite playing it for a good amount of time when I got a 3DS. I can barely recall anything about the story haha

Wasn't planning on spoiling myself with the roster, but if the leaked CSS is right than I already have. And now I'm too curious to know if there is anyone else.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. Man I love that game.

It's sooooo good. That's why I'm pumped about Dark Pit, even if I would've preferred
Hades. Are we still spoilering his name?

Even if he's a pretty straight up clone I'll be okay. But I'm really hoping Sakurai showcases some other weapons types through him.

Just for clarity: Brawl had awful awful stages, so I'm not surprised that some bad ones made it in.

But I think there's a clear line between "The worst" and "bad".

Stages like 75M, Rumble Falls & New Pork are on a whole different level
than just "bad" smash stages.

New Pork wasn't that more annoying than temple.
Chimera was funny.

Okay so I made a amiibo Priority List
I want an amiibo for every character I used to main, as a sort of trophy. Maybe even the ones I fought the most against my friends.

Top:
1: Meta Knight
2: Ness
3: Shulk (future main?)

Most likely:
4: Captain Falcon
5: Donkey Kong
6: Diddy Kong

Maybe:
7: Marth
8: Jigglypuff

Why not:
9: Mega Man
10: Duck Hunt

salt zone
-: Lucas
-: Snake

I've resigned myself to getting every Amiibo (I love Nintendo too much), so that's why I'm glad they seem to be releasing them in series. That way I can try to get one series at a time.

I need Villager though. I will train him to Pocket absolutely everything and he will be my unstoppable partner.

I may be one of the few here who is neither impressed by the Amiibo's nor sees their usefulness within Smash, or much else. That being said I will pick up a Mega Man figurine whenever he becomes available for the novelty of having one of my favorite characters of all time.

Bought an 8GB SD card to replace the one my JP 3DS came with. Can't wait.

Should be a fun time waster at work, since I tend to have a lot of downtime, heh.

Oh shit, I didn't think about that. How big will Smash be?

I managed to get hold of a JPN 3DS but I really don't know how big the SD has to be

This is pretty much the only reason I'm interested in them too. Buy one or two just for fun

I think it's supposed to be around 17,000 or so blocks, which is about 2.1-2.2 Gigs, I think. A 4GB card or higher should suffice.

The functionality is okay, but for it it's that I've always wanted a comprehensive set of Nintendo figurines. And now we're getting them in the form of real life Smash Bros. trophies! Complete with the Smash logo on the base. So yeah I'll use them in game, but it's really more of a collector's mentality for me. I'm just going to think it's awesome to finally have a Villager figurine sitting alongside other Smash Bros. greats.

I think I'd be most interesting in the Amiibos that would never get figures if not for Smash, like Robin, ROB, Doc, and Duck Hunt. That's pretty cool that's they're being made haha.

This is unrelated to anything, but I like how the name "Villager/Murabito" is being used for the Mario Kart 8 DLC. Smash Bros. has a history of influencing other games like that -- the Mr. Game & Watch and Zero Suit Samus names were created for Smash Bros. and have gone on to be used elsewhere.

Here is a question that'll divide this board worse than Team real/Team Fake or any discussion on Ridley/Takamaru/K Rool ever could.

Rank the character reveal videos.

Or maybe he got a bit of good information and decided to see how much mileage he could stretch out of that, and just made shit up.

I honestly think that his guesses were not that crazy. As a Nintendo fanboy of course I would guess recent additions to popular series, first timers from games that recently sold very well, and updated characters to popular franchises that already existed. Its still easy to dismiss gematsu as having NO prior information and just lucky guessing.

I was going to say the exact same thing. I was surprised they didn't use the default Smash 4 Villager but I guess with alts "Villager" can just refer to any iteration of the player character in AC.

Actually, I wonder if the Villager in MK8 will be an alt for Villager in Smash.

So I live in Japan but I have an American 3DS, so in order to play this game early I was going to buy a Japanese 3DS for cheap...and then they announced the NEW 3DS which is coming out AFTER the US release of Smash....Grrrgh >_<.

Based upon the assumption the leaked CSS is the final roster for the 3DS version at launch

First 10 amiibos I'll get

1. Marth

5. Ike

1. Ganondorf (due to being a C Falcon clone, would be top 10 if unique)

Well I own all the others so I might as well get him

0. Duck Hunt

The more I watch the Shulk trailer the more I get what Sakurai meant...

Shulk just feels totally different from everyone else in the game. Even more so than the Fire Emblem dudes. Like, I thought he'd be in myself, but it's still pretty weird seeing him actually in.

I'm actually really excited to use him. He just has this style to him that sets him apart.

Kind of humorous since Sakurai was joking about that with Robin and influencing the next Fire Emblem game to give Tacticians the ability to use Dark Magic. There's been several instances in Pokémon games, if I recall correctly, that moves created for Pokémon in Super Smash Bros were adopted into mainline Pokémon games down the road.

Nope. I don't think that's ever happened.

I can't recall any. I can recall moves created for the cards that were enveloped into the main games, but never Smash.

I'm too lazy to make a list, but Rosalina's was my favorite reveal video by a huge margin, and the Amiibo's I want most are Marth's and Rosalina's, though I'll surely get others aswell.

I know exactly what you mean. I only played through about half of Xenoblade (still need to get back to that) but just seeing that trailer has me incredibly hype for Shulk. And I was lukewarm on his inclusion before.

Actually, it seems that most newcomers so far have exceeded my expectations in so far as how they play. I'm very excited to try them all out.

Ranking the trailers best to worst?

Robin, Lucina, and Captain Falcon
Villager/Announcement Trailer
Greninja
Mega Man
Mii Fighters
Rosalina & Luma
Shulk
Little Mac
Palutena
Pac-Man
Wii Fit Trainer (moar CGI pls)
