I'm getting jealous of you guys. I have a peasant VG248QE screen without gsync. I don't know why Nvidia hates Europe so much.

Was just able to order one off of Amazon! Delivery estimate is September 3rd. It keeps going in and out of stock constantly there. If you are looking to get one from them, use an auto refresh plugin in your web browser and keep refreshing the page until you see the "add to cart" button show up. Once you see it, click that as soon as you can. Took me a few tries, but I was finally able to catch it before it sold out.
Got it pre-ordered at B&H, backordered at Newegg, and now refreshing Amazon every 15 seconds using the Chrome script.
I don't think I've ever had such a hard time trying to give $800+ dollars to someone. lol
OMG, just managed to snag one off Amazon using the auto refresh script!
Delivery estimate is Tuesday, September 2.
Time to cancel the B&H and Newegg order.
I can't even find the product page on Amazon.
Okay, so I don't think I'm going to shell out the 800 for this monitor, but I still need to get something, so I'm trying to decide on what to go with. I have it down to the following two:
Should I go with this, which I can get currently for $135
or, should I dish out some more in order to get this?
My graphics card is a GTX 780
Or is there a better quality/more efficient moniter in the price ranges I'm going for?
Just got a text message.
"Amazon.com: Your package with ASUS PG278Q ROG Swift 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor has been shipped. Expected delivery: Friday, 29-Aug by 08:00 PM."

What state do you live in? 2 day shipping to the midwest has a predicted arrival of Wednesday...
I'm in Illinois right now. Ordered yesterday around 6 PM CST with One Day Shipping. It's shipping via FedEx and is currently sitting in Carlisle, PA.
The response time performance of the PG278Q is excellent, and even a little faster than the other gaming TN Film screens we have tested here. With an average 2.9ms G2G response time in the 'normal' OD mode, it is slightly faster than the Asus VG278HE (4.1ms) and BenQ XL2720Z (3.8ms) which was very impressive. There was some moderate overshoot detected in this mode, mostly pretty minor, and nothing that should be too distracting in game play. These TN Film panels are clearly much faster than competing technologies, which is the reason why TN Film continues to be used for high end gaming screens.
It has arrived! Time to see what all the hype is about.
I'm excited to see peoples' reactions to g-sync now that it is more widely available. Playing Metro Redux with it recently just reminded me how great of a step up it is.
Have a really annoying issue. Anyone else experiencing it?
Basically can't get my games to work with GSync. Tried a fresh Nvidia driver install and the only game I have gotten to work is Watch Dogs. Every time I try to start another game(tried Theif, AC4, and Child of Light so far), the monitor goes out of range or loses signal completely. This leads me to do a hard reset of the whole PC to get access to my desktop again. When I boot up, Windows tells me there was a bluescreen.
ASUS says it will be fixed in a future Nvidia driver, but if it's a driver issue, how are so many people playing perfectly right now?
Out of curiosity, do you have an Oculus Rift?
Yes, DK2. But it's not hooked up right now.
Someone earlier in the thread was experiencing the exact same issue; they fixed it by uninstalling their Rift drivers.
Worth a shot?
Ok well, I figured out what was wrong. The culprit was the oculus rift driver. If I want it to work correctly, I have to uninstall the oculus runtime and its associated drivers.
It means from now on I will have to reinstall/uninstall the oculus runtime each time I want to use my oculus rift until either nvidia or oculus fix the issue.
