Apparently "stepping on jordans in the hood" is a great prank idea

I can't stand these idiots and their racially targeted "pranks." Don't feel one bit sorry for them getting their asses kicked, but I can't even watch these things. Too much cringe.

Is there a prank where all white people just suddenly explode?

That'd be cool.

well aren't you a little bundle of joy

Yes I know that's not what happened but if someone were to accidentally step on someone else's jordans they would react violently and I find that stupid. I can even use a clip from that vid as an example and apply it to a real case scenario.

From 0:06-0:13 you can get a scenario that can happen in real life by accident. You can see that theres a woman with a blue shirt coming the opposite direction and the guy moves to the side and steps on the guys Jordans. Of course it was done intentionally but let's pretend it wasn't. The guys first reaction was to push him to the ground and grab him.

My point is that there are persons that react violently when someone accidentally steps on their jordans and thats plain and simply stupid. Of course this was a "prank" and this dumbass did it with the intention to provoke, so they totally deserve the ass whoopin.

I mean yeah, but like I mentioned above, that's not really the point of this video.

I can't stand sneaker culture for shit like this, even if it is an honest mistake idiots will go crazy over it. Can't tell you how many times I've seen this in school.

No, it's the best because it shows how dumbasses react to getting their fucking shoes stepped on.

They're shoes, for fucks sake. A pair of fucking shoes. Wipe them off, get over it, go on with your day.

Not sure who are the bigger dumb asses in this situation. This shit has to be fake right? People would actually attack some kids who stepped on their shoes? wtf

Wow, that's... really fucking racist. Fuck those guys. They're literally harassing black people for the meme.

I'm ashamed of my Black half, is just sneakers for God's sake. They are supposed to get dirty.

Go to any neighborhood, white, black, whatever, and do this and you'll get a violent reaction from most people. It's not a race thing.

Heck, you'll probably get shot in some!

I don't disagree with the first part, but "the hood" is not racist. "The hood" is classist, though.

AKA, the hood = poor people.

(At least, that's what I think of when I think of "the hood." Poor people. All colors act shitty when poor.) I could be totally off my definition, but I'm pretty sure really poor Hispanic, white, and Asian neighborhoods are also super shady and referred to as "the hood" by the people around those areas.

Except they target black people almost exclusively in these videos. And most of the videos don't take place in "the hood."

I don't think it should count as a prank if you're pranking yourself by doing something that's going to get your ass beat.

They know they're going to get beat up, there's a bunch of these videos. They're gluttons for punishment, they get some sort of thrill out of this. Also, they get to say "we were right about violent black people."

I'm usually the first to yell "staged" but those reactions seemed very authentic. Also this was during the parade from Monday in Brooklyn, so testosterone was flowing freely already.

Even if people were on edge because it was a festival of some sort, I don't buy that someone would immediately lash out like that even if someone else was being a annoying.

1. These guys are idiots and I feel shame for watching their stupid video.
2. Someone's going to get seriously hurt doing these "pranks" one day.
3. They're just shoes, calm down.

Whether they used "hood", "ghetto", "impoverished area", whatever....it's irrelevant, since they only targeted black people. Their use of "the hood" was meant to describe black people.

I think "the hood" definitely has a black connotation. If a white guy says he grew up in the hood I imagine the overwhelming majority of people he's talking to would imagine this white guy being the minority in a poor black neighborhood.

I understand what they're doing. I'm just saying nothing about this is a prank. It's just tomfoolery and people being assholes for no reason.

Yeah, it's blatant racism. So many of these fucking videos do it.

It's fake, though.

I've lived in NYC for over a decade and can confirm scuffing a Jordan to some people will get you into trouble. Yeah it's stupid for sure. Video is also stupid and just after hits

IT'S SHOES. Yeah, let me assault someone because they stepped on my fucking shoes. Give me a break.

Someone steps in your personal space, damages your property or seemingly challenges you to a physical confrontation using innuendo, all the way blatantly disrespecting you. In public.

See if you don't feel like hitting the jackass that does it then.

And I think it's fair to say that they spend all day trying to set people off for their prank video and only show the few people that react violently.

I agree. You can almost sense some people's uneasiness pop up when something like that is mentioned, analogous to when people here in Queens mention the Bronx. I'm sure the Bronx has white people, it's a whole borough; but that's not what comes to mind when it's brought up.

Agreed, but I wouldn't call it pranking themselves either.. they're getting the exact outcome they set out to get.

I also bet there are tons of footage of people not reacting violently to them that they cut out.

DennisCeeTV and OckTV are guys from NY who often work together on "prank" videos.

All of their "hood prank" videos are fake and they're all fucking racist.

They have exploited people in NY's lower-income areas and the Youtube demographic that is eager to see black people in "the hood" explode in anger and -- like the savages they are! -- violently attack people who did something harmless like ask a provocative question or step on someone's shoes.

These guys have gotten negative press from local media and congressmen for their staged scenarios that always target black people and make them look so awful to hundreds of thousands. These assholes could easily go one neighborhood over to Bensonhurst or go right across the water to Staten Island and harass Irish and Italian guys and watch them react violently... but they know that's not what their Youtube audience wants to see. They literally admitted this on a radio interview.

Fuck these guys. These videos should be banned/boycotted.

Sorry but if someone steps on my shoe, on purpose or not, I'm not going to assault them as if they hurt one of my children. It's a goddamn shoe. I have my priorities in life suited and sorted to where I'm going to "feel like hitting the jackass" in situations when it actually warrants it.

And you sure stretched "stepping on a shoe" into quite the descriptor. Luckily the law agrees that bumping into someone, stepping on their shoes, etc, doesn't mean you can go bruce lee on them and repeatedly pound their face.

Well I'm glad that my snap judgment from watching this racist piece of shit video was not inaccurate. Totally fine with these idiots getting an ass kicking.

Beautifully put, thank you.

For sure. That's how all of these reaction videos work.

How is stepping on someone's shoes a joke?

Is their next prank going to be bash in the window of a 1985 Cadillac DeVille ('N da HOoD) and then say "relax man it was a joke"

If someone went out of their way to ruin something of mine that costs nearly $200 I'd be pissed as hell too.

They aren't just shoes to alot of people, They get to the mall 3-4 hours before opening, and pay between $160-$250 for these shoes. Same way people collect certain game collectors sets or upset the PS4 has a scratch on it coming back from Sony repair. The shoes are important to them, and these guys are being total assholes with "its just a prank!"

Do the game collectors assault people for the scratches?

I think most people's reactions depend on the circumstances. If someone steps on my foot and I don't sense any bad intentions, I can play it off, hell I might even apologise if I'm not sure who got in whose ways, but when it happens, and I feel as though you're fucking with me, then we have a problem, and I think that goes for most people. You should also keep in mind that they're going to "the hood" i.e. not the best place to challenge anyone's sense of pride. Why do you think there aren't many prank videos like this taken in suburban areas?

I didn't stretch anything, that's what actually happens. While those people might not know they're on camera, it so blatantly obvious those OckTV guys are doing it to get a rise of them even when they don't ask and try to play it off like an accident, and when they get it, they don't care. An asswhooping is inevitably going to be dealt when someone is a prick, it doesn't quite matter what their motivations or intentions are.
