Big update coming tonight. I don't see how it couldn't be considering this is the second to last friday before the game releases.
It is a really beautiful game. Kinda disappointing that it's getting a 3DS port rather than a gorgeous, HD Wii U remaster. It deserves it.
You ain't seen nothin yet.
No matter what the update is, for these last 5 PotD's, I have to say that it's been an honor serving with all of you, even back to a year ago, when I wasn't a member. Let's make these last 5 days special! (Hopefully Sakurai thinks the same way and makes them something to talk about).

Let's see, I played the day I got it over Labor Day Weekend, and then I played last night and tonight. But I play late and knock out a good chunk each time. It's been a while since I've lost myself in a good ol' fashioned JRPG like this. Only, it's -not- old-fashioned. It's very progressive in many ways. But at the same time it captures that sense of going on an adventure with a group of people who care deeply about each other.

I've always wondered, you seem to always get games fairly early. How do you do it? Is there one site you constantly use, do you order the same game from a bunch of different places, does Nintendo personally fly in Reggie to give you a copy of the game, etc.?
Wow that was fast! Satorl Marsh was a surprise the 1st time I was exploring it at night...so awesome.
At least we have something to hold us :3
It's not going to be up for another four hours, so you've got plenty of time.
...I just really hope it'll come with some new music samples.

I just read through all 591 BitF strips again, in preparation for it's end. That's a quality comic strip. It'll be sad to see it go. =/

The train is soon to arrive on platform one, after, the following the October platform two train and the eventual slow cargo train, that is Wii U which will arrive on platform three at a later date.

With Japanese games, I used to have an importer who guaranteed I'd get it launch day, if not the day before, but they started dropping the ball with Pokémon Rumble Blast and Pokémon Typing Adventure. Luckily it was the time Nintendo started full retail downloads, so I just download when they come up now.. Hopefully the eShop doesn't die.
For UK games, most retailers get it to you a day early. With X & Y though, I pre-ordered from multiple places and one sent it a few days early so I managed to get stuff done and went live close to launch.
I may just. I'll be streaming so it'll be interesting to do an online battle during the stream

Those also had appearances in Super Star Ultra/Amazing Mirror, respectively. And I believe so. I hope they make it into Smash 4, though I'd rather Masked Dedede be a FS.

It actually is pretty hard to not spoil the game because of how awesome it is and how much of it I want to share with the rest of you.
Everything sometime next week, I suppose.
Me too, although I'm a little concerned if multiplayer will run smoothly while streaming. Only a 480p stream, so hopefully my internet can handle it.

At this point, I'm starting to think we're just not getting a pre-release Direct for Smash 3DS. If it was going to happen, it'd happen by next week at the very latest. They wouldn't do a US/EU-exclusive Direct for the release after the Japanese version is already out.

The thing that makes spoilers hard is everyone has different levels of butthurt towards them and what they consider spoilers. It's best to just tag most spoilerish stuff just in case someone thinks it's a spoiler when it feels like general info to you.

I don't think the online will run that smoothly. My wireless router is cack, and it's going to go from England to Japan and wherever you are to Japan and then back again. There will be lag.
It sort of makes sense. The game's receiving heavy marketing regardless, and already had a Direct earlier in the year. Though a Direct for the Wii U version still seems very likely.
