Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

The clone I was referring that has a sword and never uses is Ganondorf ^^

I didn't say "never", I said "not in the majority". It was an idea to differentiate a possible Goroh moveset from those of other sword wielders, who in the majority of their moves utilize their swords.

Looking forward to this

I'm not expecting impressions until tomorrow. People will START playing it in 8.5 hours, but then they have to make it home (or get on their phone), write it up, spread around, then the nuggets of information have to be weeded out, then, finally, translated for us.

If we're LUCKY, we'll get some pictures/video, but they're currently banned - we don't know how heavily that will be enforced.

In six hours someone, somewhere, will likely have access to the finalized retail version of Smash 3DS...

Will they become the hero of the internet at the cost of their own job?

So obviously, I'm not going to post links because it's a scan from a magazine, but apparently Dedede has a new Final Smash? And it's... not Masked Dedede? The one screen just shows him putting a bomb into the head of his hammer, but he's got a Final Smash aura, so it looks like he no longer's calling in his entire army. I liked the Final Smash conceptually, but it was easy to dodge, so I'm cool with it being gone.

Us players overseas should at least get a Smash demo when the game comes out in Japan.
This needed to be a worldwide release.

Yeah, Smash is a game that would have hugely benefitted from a worldwide release. They could manage it with XY, but not this? Then again, the new Pokemon games are spaced out too..

I guess Nintendo thought it was too hard to simultaneously release lol.

Mine was a joke xD But I don't think we'll ever see more F-Zero representation until a new game comes out.

make no sense for Pac Man to show but not a single Soul Calibur character

Actually, I remember Sakurai fervently declaring that there'd be no characters from other fighting games in his fight- I mean, "Opponent-Based Action Game." Plus, Pac-Man is far more iconic; he's up there with Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Link, and Pikachu as one of the biggest names in gaming, so it only makes sense to add him in this all-star crossover battle. It'd be nice to see Soul Calibur DLC, but other than 2 and that crappy Legends spin-off, the Soul Series has been dodging Nintendo platforms like the plague, anyway.

And wait, did we already know about the new Dedede Final Smash?

It's DedeBurst. He sucks in an enemy, hits them a lot, then sends them away!

Was posted on GameFAQS last week, I think I recall seeing someone mention it, but didn't pay it much thought. Seems pretty realistic beyond the extreme requirements when it comes to VS Matches.

If it is true, who are you gonna go for first? Who looks the hardest to unlock?

I think it's fake. but it's possible that it could be real.

Why would they become heroes? And even that were the case they don't do it to be somebody's heroes, they do it for attention and to feel important

I honestly thought he was referring to this move

And not suggesting a soul calibur character should be a rep.

I mean "to show but not a single a single Soul Calibur character" can be read like that.

I don't think there are bosses in the 3DS version, so how would Dark Pit get unlocked?

I will unlock everyone the same way I did last time:
1) Turn the game on.
2) Vs. mode against CPU AI at 9.0
3) Set the game to 1 HP for both of us.
4) Watch TV while losing ~1000 times.

No new characters, no Ridley, no Ice climbers.... Fake :3

No, we know of one Boss in the 3DS Version...that Green Dragon on the Mii Stage.

Plus I assume Yellow Devil appear as well in Willy's Castle. Gaur Plains probably has Metal Head too.

Maybe Kirby GB or Magicant will have a boss. Paper Mario could as well, we just haven't seen it since it switches.

10 Smash Runs as Bowser seems oddly specific character wise, obviously I get why it'd be Bowser related but multiple runs of the same mode with just one character seems unlikely, granted I'm not sure how long each Smash Run lasts and I'm operating under a logic similar to that of Classic or Melee Adventure albeit a bit quicker.

If it is true though, well I guess I'll be making more Bowser runs than I'd like pretty quickly.

Compared to melee, it's very very easy and lame.

Smash Run is five minutes iirc, but maybe you can adjust the time?

Plus how long the final match takes, but I'd guess it'd be about a regular Classic Mode match unless it's two high-level players against one another.

I wonder if when playing in multiplayer, number of Smashes will "multiply". So like if four people are playing, the match counts as 4 matches towards the unlock requirement.
