As suspected, they were giving away those Smash Bros. booklets.

"Little Mac has 16 costumes. 8 for his fleshy self, 8 for his wireframe. His wireframe Costumes involve changing his gloves, one of them is the sweater hoodie."

So, all the "Only 8 for every character" stuff is done. Wario will have 16 too I guess?

Well fucking damn.

The knee will be forever ruined without dash momentum carried into jumping. With that, I wouldn't care even if it had a 3 seconds of lag. It was so fun kneeing people out of nowhere back in Melee.

They better have then made Falcon's knee sweetspot a LOT bigger than what it was on brawl, if they are going to add such huge landing lag.

If you want to land a falcon knee, you'd better REALLY be sure you land it. Jigglypuff rest levels of punish available!

Knee will likely be relegated to a more situational move. Falcon's other aerials are looking great though tbh. Upair looks hot. If I have to play him 64 style and rely on upairs then so be it.

Marth feels very nerfed. His range seems even worse than in Brawl (I was whiffing fsmashes like crazy and I'm pretty good with tippers). Aside fr his range and no ability to double fair he seems mostly the same, aside from running faster. It's his range that REALLY feels kinda killer to His melee/brawl play style.

Tipper ing with Marth seems to require your opponent to be a lot closer than ever before, it seems he won't be as much of a spacing monster as he's always been.

This can't be overstated enough, his range feels significantly shorter (by significantly I mean that it's noticeable. It's all relative of course), and seems to be his most notable nerf. Spacing his tippers seems to Be considerably more skill-based due to the range needed.

praise the FUCKING LORD

Yeah, that would be fine. The footage is hard to make out, though.

Just to let you all know information is not necessarily slowed. I am starting up my AMA soon on Reddit and I will answer all the little questions. T-minus 45 minutes or so.

Also, peach has a fire red and full black dress.

Wow, that's huge.

You know that they can balance the game by making bad characters better rather than completely ruining perfectly fine characters right?

The Marth changes are stupid.

or they wanted to change how marth played :T from what im reading the counter being an actual kill move is sweet since i use that move quite often lol but to each there own

I dunno, seems stupid to me to completely nerf the thing that sets him apart from the rest of the fighters, they could have kept his spacing ability and made his counter a kill move and he wouldn't be overpowered due to the throw and landing lag changes in the game.

I'm always of the opinion that it's better to buff the lower tiers to the level of the top tiers than nerf the top tiers to be as bad as the bottom or try and meet in the middle somewhere, it just makes the game more fun imo.

No dash dancing and Marth and Meta Knight being heavily nerfed are the best two pieces of news to come out of these demo impressions. My hype remains at max. <3

Yes, praise the lord! Characters can no longer dash left and right anymore!

I really think you've just started saying these things to aggro competitive players now so you can just go on about why you hate competitive people some more.

You mean rather than adjust to the new character?

This mentality is the reason why I don't like PM's viewpoint especially towards Falco.

That's rough. It basically cements his Knee as a finisher, rather than an approach.

33 frames of landing recovery is even laggier than the start-up of Ike's forward smash in Brawl.
Yeah, for the record, I really don't think it's that bad. You only have to take a look at the landing lag for a good chunk of the aerials in Brawl to realize that plenty of characters have dealt with that kind of landing lag before, and with how fast his other aerials look, especially considering they're so easily autocancelable, I think he'll be great if he has ways to combo into it.

I just don't get the point in changing Marth in the first place, he offered something unique to the game and instead of making his weaknesses greater to balance the character (something that has already happened in the game due to throw changes and increased landing lag) they nerfed what made him unique to the point of it practically not mattering.

I also don't get what's wrong with PM Falco, the mentality is "make the game like Melee" and that's what they did, there's nothing to understand there.

If the Brawl reflector throw actually added anything to his game, they would probably have kept it. I don't hear anyone complaining that PM removed Mario's FLUDD.

Yeah, it just sucks that we can't do quadruple knees anymore :,(

I hope his other aerials have been improved (hard to tell from the small footage). It would be neat if he took on some of his Smash 64 properties.
