This would be a horrible idea. The tamers have already hit their peak in terms of digivolution and it had a nice ending.

You could say something similar about this new Adventure series and yet here we are. Sure, maybe they're going to explore some legit megas/ultimates of the other digidestined but I doubt they'll just let Agumon and Gabumon just stagnate.

Adventure does need a different ending though.

I think there was kind of a hope or speculation from people that he would have them back considering this new series is focusing on Tai again rather than a new character (like Davis and others in 02). His giving his goggles to Davis was symbolic of him passing on his leadership to him so it would also make sense if he were to have them back if he's the "leader" again.

I think I used to have some digivolving (transformer) ones too. I can't recall which digimon they were but they were pretty cool.

Most of them broke and lost parts over the years. :/

lol. Seriously, a standard scenario opener is rather "anti-hype." I almost wish they went with Hot Coldman's idea! Oh well, my expectations for the teaser were pretty low.
Hopefully future information is more interesting (and not too far off).

Latest twitter update news: Cracking the next egg may not lead to another characters silhouette, but a continuation of the excerpt that we got yesterday night. So a continuation of Tai's day. Also, sukamon won't be back to block the egg.
