Add Dixie Kong and a Zelda Rep (theorized a lot) Dixie was supposed to be in Brawl, Mario has 6, Pokemon has 6, Zelda should have 6 (Zelda and Mario and Pokemon were equal at 4 in Brawl.)

There are a lot of Mother 3 fans in SmashGAF. It's a game everyone should play.

Also, Lucas seems more popular with people in general thanks to his more intuitive smash attacks and his more forgiving recovery.

They should just make a fully charged Ness's bat hit like a Home-Run bat

Oric, did you make the poll to determine people's favorite Smash characters or people's favorite smash characters to play as? Because a lot of people here are confused at how Lucas is ranked so high (or even higher then Ness), and that reason may just be that a lot of people find Lucas fun to play as.

So we're all expecting Alph and Fierce Deity Link to be shown in POTD stuff this week, right? I mean, Alph especially, he's basically an extra playable character (in terms of pre-rendered art, announcer, etc stuff) and if he's there as an Olimar costume the moment you turn on the game they'd have to say something about that before the game comes out.

They could wait until Bowser Jr and the Koopalings show up on the site to explain it, but I have a feeling they won't do so.

How strange is it, though, that Alph ended up the lone non-koopaling character that got this treatment? If they weren't bumped up to full characters, Marth would have a Lucina alt, Mario would have a Doc alt, and Pit would have a Dark Pit alt that all got the full announcer/namechange treatment too.

Too bad they didn't go all the way for Blood Falcon as Capt. Falcon's alt. Would have been cool to have another set of voicework that sounded more menacing.

Mother 3. Not by a whole lot, but I'd recommend it to people who rarely play if I can get them it in english somehow. It's a game everybody really should play. It's just charming in every way.

I always loved Lucas, but feel like Smash kinda represented him poorly. I played Mother 3 but the Lucas in Subspace Emissary wasn't very likable. New Pork City was not a good stage and it didn't really get the feel of Mother 3 at all. They made him a clone of Ness and didn't he didn't feel inspired (rope snake was cool though). If Lucas really isn't back, I blame it on a poor representation of a well deserved character.

Mother fans really can't catch a break these days.

Bah, Nopon village held me back by alot. Place was so huge, trying to talk to each NPC once for the list was a pain/confusing with my bad memory lol. And then I see alcamoth....not as confusing as Nopon village, but looks big enough to take some time to get all the NPC. =P

Yeah, if it's the former I'd have someone like DK, Samus or Wario as my top, while if it's the latter I'd have Falcon or Snake. Not *too* huge of a difference unless you actively dislike a character for who they are on the roster.

So more or less someone with insider information in the past "predicted" those 5 characters? But then I read somewhere else that Impa and Mach Rider were just piggybacked off of that.

And the above was pretty much informative. Though it actually gives more of a reason to doubt there will be more characters in the retail game, as the post predicting Ridley/Mewtwo/Dixie/Chorus Kids was made AFTER the SmashBoards leak.

I prefer Mother 3, but just barely. It's similar themes in both, but I like the way Mother 3 tackles them overall. But a lot of that has to do with the fantastic fan translation effort too, so I don't know if my opinion would hold up without their work.

How many quests are you gonna do? Because that determines whether you're 1/4 of the way through or just under 1/2.

Dixie/Ridley/Mewtwo/Impa/Mach Rider was tacked onto a repost of the initial screenshot leaks with Dr. Mario, Duck Hunt Dog etc. by some guy on GameFAQs and is very likely to just be conjecture.

You can tell because it has all these highly coveted but unlikely characters.

That's what I did. Ignored sidequests until I got stuck on a boss, then went out and did quests until I was good. I also did convenient stuff that was along the way. Beat it in about 40 hours.

That would mean Kirby would need to drop down and then the implications of that would require 2 new characters which could be Lucina and Dark Pit being moved up but what about Dr Mario? He would push Game & Watch down, etc...

Which at that point would require total repositioning of characters and my whole argument is that doesn't happen as so far like in Brawl things only got pushed to the side.

I always felt like Mother 3 was the more tighter designed game, so that's what I'll go with. That and it wasn't until Mother 3 that I realized how little the series ever provided in the way of optional content/sidequests, something I really value in RPGs.
