My last, totally unreasonable, prediction before the leak hits:
The roster of the 3DS version will be the leaked one with only Chorus Kids added in. When the Wii U version comes out there will be 4 more characters as free DLC: Ridley, Dixie, Ice Climbers and Mewtwo (two vets and two newcomers).
Chorus Kids - The Gematsu leaker is 10/12 with only them remaining as a mystery. It's really weird to think he'd get almost everything right but miss on such a weird character, he'd gain nothing to even add them on the list, surely not a safe bet like the others. Moreover in the last few days there has been a deleted tweet from someone who supposedely attended the closed doors Smash demo at PAX mentioning the Chorus Kids. Sneaky spirits are also in.
Ice Climbers - Polar bears are in and if Chorus Kids are a thing, there's no reason to have them cut. We know that the verified ESRB video leak was announced beforehand by Ninka/Vaanrose in text on Smashboards. That leak mentions Wolf, IC, Snake and Lucas as all cut. However it's very possible that the leakers mistook the video roster as final and based their text leak on that, not noticing the All-Stars lock.
Dixie Kong - The only newcomer of the forbidden seven still viable after all this years, especially due to her recently starring in DK:TF, but also due to her enduring popularity with the fans.
Mewtwo - He is a fan favourite, he was planned to return in Brawl, he has been one of the faces of X/Y, and one of the only two (IIRC) pokémon to get two different mega evolutions (the other is Charizard, who's already in).
Ridley - If he's in (shadow.gif), Sakurai will keep the troll up till the Wii U version releases, when almost nobody expects him anymore, if not as a boss.
This is what I'd like as DLC:
3 vets and 3 newcomers as DLC for 2015, Mario Kart-like, at 6 months intervals.
Lucas/Wolf/Snake - Out of all the characters declared cut, Lucas is the one who's most probably truly gone, as the Gematsu leaker (someone who surely had correct info, even if probably outdated, as shown by him knowing the name of the Mii Fighters) said the team was wondering who to cut between Ness and Lucas, leaving the other as DLC. So maybe they're not truly gone, but all planned as DLC due to time constraints.
Isaac/Paper Mario/K.Rool - Mostly wishful thinking at this point, no real reasons. We have a stage for Paper Mario, still no Isaac assist trophy, Kremlings in Smash Run for K.Rool.

Maaaan, I join the SmashGAF chat for the very first time, super excited to whittle away the evening in it, and I get kicked out after two minutes for... who knows what. Tough crowd in there.
If I knew for certain the leaks were going to happen tonight I'd go buy beer and order pizza but I have a feeling that I would just end up getting too drunk on a weeknight and being hungover at work tomorrow for nothing and it would all be samurai's fault.

Surprised to see the Zelda/Sheik love. I've always hated transformation characters, so I've tended to shy away from Zelda/Sheik, Pokemon Trainer, ZSS and even Ice Climbers for similar reasons, so I'm incredibly happy they are all being separated in this version. I'll definitely be much more likely to go more in depth with Sheik and Charizard and ZSS.

That is a surprise considering how generally bad she's been. Like, she's just not very appealing to play I've found -- other than the lightning kicks nothing else about her is very satisfying.
I would laugh so hard if Fox is #1 for the veterans thing, though, somehow.

I feel like the leaked roster will be the final roster, barring the potential of eventual DLC.
I'm expecting that the main things we'll get tomorrow is seeing how Duck Hunt plays, the couple stages we haven't seen, some interesting custom moves and costumes. Stuff like that.

Here are the rankings leading up to the final 2. I've updated it to include the breakdown of 1st/2nd/3rd votes so you can see just how things came out. I also fixed the rankings to work with all the ties that happened, so characters ranks will be a little different than what the banners have listed.
