Forza Horizon 2 Launch Trailer

Fuck me I'm so tempted to get an xbone just for this game.

What's the wheel support like for this console and game?

This game along with Sunset Overdrive tipped the scales so much for me that I bought an Xbox One over a PS4 last month. I can't wait to try the demo on the 16th.

This game has one of the hottest soundtracks I have ever heard in my life. That trailer was pure driving bliss, also I think the vehicle models are the best my eyes have ever gazed upon. Which makes sense since each car takes around 6 months to model apparently, and cost more than the real cars to make according to to this interview below,

Nice. Definitely on my radar.

Was super disappointed with Forza 5 however, and I am picking up Driveclub. Will get if reviews are high enough. Hoping for a demo.

I just gotta wonder how Playground Games is still independent. You'd think MS would have acquired them after the first Horizon. It's Ready at Dawn and Sony. Makes perfect sense, just hasn't happened yet.

You'll get one in 4 days.

I'll repeat this here: http://neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=129499949&postcount=56

Don't believe every marketing message. Maybe if only one person works on them, typically this level of detail is around one month. And the cars are straight imports from Forza 5. Which leads to the question when Forza 5 started with 200 cars and added 200 more via DLC why does Horizon 2 start at 200? Could've easily been 300. I don't like this, having to buy the same cars twice. But great trailer (those first seconds are the most impressive racer graphics I have ever seen) and day 1 of course. I only have one problem with this game, the offroad sequences. I drive in the cockpit view and apparently you don't see anything while going through the fields while you have no problems in third person. This unbalanced POS has to go away.

No, they're not. There was a video interview with Fulton or some other guy (maybe someone knows what I'm talking about and will post a link) in which he went to some length to explain all the things they have to do with every Forza 5 car to get it ready for Horizon 2 (like adding working wipers, adjusting suspension, cockpit/dashboard lighting, and so on; I believe he even said that they were rerecording or adjusting some of the sounds).

Um, the same is true in every game with cockpit view, especially in some cars - you trade visibility for immersion.

Should divert some of the Mojang cash for Playground IMO.

I want PS4 as I know it's the better machine, but hot damn that's a good trailer. Can I buy Xbox 1 and then still rely on it to deliver the goods x-plat? Not sure.

May be my first ever double dip after playing 360 version (which ironically will probably sell more).

Multiplats are still fantastic on XB1. They will usually be better on PS4 (with minor to major improvements) but as an XB1 only I have never said to myself, This looks bad.

If you already own a PS4 you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't factor that in when purchasing multiplats.

But XB1 games still look beautiful to me.

What game are you comparing it with? Doubt there is as much going on as there is n Horizon 2.

Well even something like GTA.

Not a great example as I haven't played it in years but I remember IV looking quite convincing at times.

Body roll is another thing, in cockpit view neither the cockpit or scenery really tilt, where does it go?

WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!?!?

Not that bothered by DC, looks a bit flat in comparison to other racers, but this trailer has me panting like a wet dog on hot day.

Thanx for info BTW.

Depends on spring/roll bar stiffness settings doesn't it?

I really hope we can do things like have super stiff springs for those of us who are strictly technical and want to stick to the road and that the road car setup can balance out against a car that may not handle the best on tarmac but will cruise over rougher terrain that my stiffly spring ride would be losing traction all over the place on.

I lean more to the sim side of stuff when it comes to raci g games but I loved Horizon 1.

Hopefully the tuning in FH2 offers this flexibility.

I keep telling myself after Destiny. "Okay buy Horizon 2 but that's it" then I remember that Sunset Overdrive is in october. i can't handle all these games!

I think he was talking about having to do that due to dynamic time of day and weather(rain). Those changes will most likely be rolled into Forza 6.

Hey all, I have a dilemma --

I absolutely loved Forza 4 and FH1, two of my favorite games from last gen. But I don't have a XB1... is FH2 a system seller you think??

It's on 360, but really nothing is known much about it. Personally, I think this looks totally worth buying the system, especially if you are eyeing some other exclusives!

I don't know how a build up of snow could be cheaply and convincingly faked unlike rain which doesn't really alter the assets.

I suppose if you somehow drive up a mountain and there's already snow there so any falling snow would just vanish.

So, we should start seeing Forza player impressions today, Helios said community members were visiting the office today to give hands on impressions!

Cross-platform is fine on the X1. I also game on a GTX 780 / i7 rig and the X1 doesn't disappoint.

If you're loving the exclusives, pick up the X1. You can grab a PS4 later when a lot of exclusives hit that you want on it.

I always buy for games (of my preference), never for power, when it comes to consoles.

I think MS has probably tried, but they may want to do their own thing, eventually go multiplatform in the future. They're a great team, MS should keep trying.
