Support site words, shortly?

Where is this info from?

I filled out a ticket with them, but haven't heard back.

Thanks.

I think Warner Bros. knows the jig's up:

1) Go to the site, http://digitalcopy.warnerbros.com/help/
2) Pick your country, click more under top support questions
3) Click customer support, select I am still having problems obtaining my Digital Copy. What should I do?, then support request web form
4) Fill out the form. Media type: iTunes; Operating System: Mac OS X; Media Player / Windows Media Portable Device Manufacturer / Windows Media Portable Device: Other; Support request type: Authorization code and licenses

You'll be taken to another screen, fill out the required information. If the code doesn't take on that screen, try it without dashes.

Their definition of "shortly" is pretty vague, but keep an eye out for an iTunes gift sent to the email address you specify. The subject header should be along the lines of WB Digital Distribution sent you an iTunes Gift.

Just watched this on Blu-Ray.

HOLY SHIT...why oh why didn't I watch this in theaters?! Fuck the ratings!!

Just goes to show you can never trust reviewers, EVER!

On the off chance you like 1 thing that they like you still can't trust them because next time it might backfire, just follow what interests you and fuck the rest ^^ (For example FFIV DS remake everyone said was awesome but I hate it and still prefer the original)

I'm listening to the score right now as I'm posting this. Such awesomeness, gonna bump this when I get Wipeout HD this week.

Also, of late I've been finding myself whistling and humming the theme song continuously. It won't get out of my brain.

The thing is, it's more faithful to the source than many films that are based on comics/games/anime. There are piles of nods to fans all over the place. Even the visual design is done in such a way to mimic the late 60's anime artistic style.

Yeah, seriously. I love how they seemed to cram the first 2 seasons of the anime into the intial 10 minutes ... and actually pulled it off well :lol Aside from the obvious stuff, there are quite a few times towards the end where Speed does the "AHHH/OOOH" thing just like the anime. Also, when he jumps out of the car at the end, he does the pose from the original opening.

Shit! I tried to get myself an iTunes copy but got the "Maximum Token use exceeded!" error since I already used my code on the Windows version. :( (I was unaware they were even going to offer an iTunes version...)

Anyone think I can negotiate something with WB customer support?

May this be a warning to everyone...

That's actually not at the end of the movie, it's at the end of the cross country race.

It's an online exchange. Once you get your iTunes copy the WMV key is disabled. Since you already got your Windows Media copy, well...I'd say "Not a chance in Hell" is the answer.

There isn't much I can say, other than almost every aspect of this movie was grating. Not surprised it tanked.

I have to say out of all movies for people to fall into 2 camps on this one strikes me as the strangest, prossably (made up word , think probably + possibly) due to the fact that I only "liked" it. The fact that there are more then a few that consider it the movie of the year over the likes of films like Wall E or dark knight.. hell even iron man.

To each their own I suppose. Were I to give it a film critic style review score it'd probably get a solid 3 stars out of 5 stars, in other words I'd recommend anyone interested give it atleast 1 viewing. For the most part it's a film designed squarely for children with severe add / adhd or autism, there's always something colorful to look at on screen and after the boring first 20 minutes the movie is pretty well nonstop delight to some degree. It's this same thing that likely had critics knocking it though, giving it plenty of 2 star scores (out of both 4 and 5 stars) it's not a film designed to appeal to critics. So I don't think it got a total bad rap really, it's just with rotten tomatoes you can't just look at the tomatometer, it's worth checking what ratings the film is getting, often times stuff in the 30% range is getting 2 and 2.5 star scores with the odd 3.

So if you desire more from your films that primary colors and saturday morning cartoon level action it's not for you, you fancy yourself a manchild at heart and you just might find something to love here.

It is possible to like both kinds of movies. Anyone who so uniformly "hates" family movies and only "mature" movies, I'd wager, doesn't have a firm grasp on the meaning of the latter.

I saw this tonight on Blu-Ray. The image quality was damn amazing. The visual effects ranged from seriously impressive, to incredibly unimpressive, to what the hell just happened? Needless to say, it was almost always interesting to look at. I thought it was also too long of a movie for the story they were telling, but whatever, it's worth a watch. I'm sure young kids would totally love it.

I filled out a ticket already, however it's interesting. IIRC when I filled it out OSX and iTunes was not an option. :D

Wait, did you use the code that was in the case or another code they mailed you?

Hey now, Saturday morning cartoon level story, maybe, but the action? That was some top notch shit. Well choreographed, well shot (no bullshit close-up shaky cam here; every shot is well framed and stable enough to see what's happening), with plenty of unique and creative touches.

I used the code that was in the case...

I'm not all that worried though if I can't get the iTunes version. (It would be nice to have though) It's just a bummer that I go ahead and use the code thinking that WB won't ever support Apple's products and WB goes ahead and does just that. WB at the very least could deactivate my Windows copy and gift me the iTunes version. I'm more than sure I'm not the only person that is in this same situation.

Update:
So I decided to send them a support request via their form but the submit button doesn't work! :( (I'm on Mac OS X Leopard and tried in both Safari and Firefox)

Weird, I'm on the same OS and it worked fine. Well, in Firefox anyway.

I give a solid 3.5 stars! I personally really enjoyed the movie. It was a good change up to the typical, and just set out to have, sometimes over the top, fun. The kid and the monkey worked out so well! Great movie, especially for fans and families!! All should see it, and I cant wait to see this thing on Blu-ray!!!

shit. I wanted it in itunes, but tried out the WMV version. Will never watch it, just wanted to see how it worked. So I'm probably screwed.

Weird indeed, it must be my luck. >.< I'll try again later today.

Most likely. It wouldn't hurt though to send a friendly support request to WB.

I think I'll have to side with solo for once and put this movie above TDK for favorite movie of the year

This makes me happy. When TDK came out, I loved it, but I still thought SR was better. And people thought I was retarded. Well FUCK EM.

The final lap of the grand prix is just too goddamn good. Michael Giacchino is god among men.

Yes. Yes. The crowd reaction shots are placed so well everytime Speed does something batshit insane. First time I saw the movie I wanted to jump out of the seat and start doing backflips and situps and shit. But I restrained myself. And the music certainly didn't help me stay seated either. I listen to that soundtrack multiple times a day.

Speed Racer is going to be my movie of the year unless some kind of insane work of art and beauty is released before year's end. If TDK couldn't top it for me, nothing will.

Ive owned a PS3 and and HDTV since the ps3 came out and never watched a blu-ray movie, I just got a new HDTV so I said fuck it and rented this, got home did a few gravity bongs. I seriously sat back and was impressed all the way to the end of this movie, probaly one of the most unique looking movies ive ever seen, the picture quality was incredible, what other blu-ray movies would you guys suggest, besides planet earth.

Yay! Received my free copy, it's awesome on the iPhone (never used the damn thing for video until tonight).

Received mine as a gift from WB as well, so now I got The Forbidden Kingdom + Speed Racer in HD on my Iphone. :D

I just wish more companies offered digital copies when buying Blu-Ray movies, digital copy of Iron Man and The Dark Knight on my Iphone would be so awesome ;O

The entire movie should have been done like that race. It was exactly like the cartoons. The other stuff was good and had a lot of elements from the show, but that segment was spot on.

All the way down to sexist remarks to Trixie and Speed lying about what he was doing.

Oh snap!

I just realized in the beginning Speed is wearing the lucky socks before the first race. The ones Rex asked him about before going to the track with him as a kid.

I love this movie to death. <3 <3 <3

This just got on PPV and I got two days off this week. I'll give it a try because I didn't see it in theaters and flashy visuals impress me.:D
