With DriveClub on the horizon, what's next for Evolution Studios?

Motorstorm or closed down. Watched the stream today of the game and found it to be completely lackluster (gameplay not graphics).
 
Assuming this game doesnt kill them off, lets get a new Wipeout game. If they are going to go down, at least let Wipeout be the game that kills them lol

I have been dreaming about an open world Motorstorm ever since i saw footage of Driveclub.
They can absolutely do it and i hope they do.
Crashing through dense bush in a modified suv or monster truck in a rainstorm with driveclub like visuals would be glorious.
 
Hopefully something off-the-wall like Motorstorm Apocalypse. Going from that to DriveClub was a little disappointing.

I just hope the game seems enough for them to stay open.
 
The possibility of closing seems strong, so I'm REEEEAAAALLY hoping DriveClub does well. Like, really well... 2+ million before the end of the year.
 
I'd rather have another Motorstorm or Wipeout than another Driveclub.

Driveclub is cool and all, but its just another arcade racing game really... like Need for Speed, The Crew, Forza Horizon and so on.

Motorstorm had something extra to it with the mayhem and destruction. Imagine THAT on a new gen console.

That or give them Wipeout I suppose. I'm going to start missing that series. A Playstation console without Wipeout is a very sad thing.

A small budget Wipeout wouldn't. The games never did have THAT many tracks or ships like a big budget game like Drive Club would.
 
Wipeout is in my top 10 list of all time, but unless everyone who enjoys wipeout is willing to purchase a few hundred copies each the game will sell like shit.
 
I really hope they go back to Motorstorm. I loved the original and I can only imagine how far they can push the idea with better hardware.
 
Motorstorm on PS4. Don't even care if it's the new one, I'll take any of the ps3 games JUST ON the ps4 and I'll be happy.
 
With the delay costing them nearly a year, I can't see them doing something that won't allow them to use DC's assets. So, DC2, then hopefully a Motorstorm title toward the end of the gen.

Fake edit: As someone who can't stand open-world racers, I am all for a Motorstorm game utilizing that setup to make the races even more chaotic than before. Ugh, I want this so bad now.
 
Someone needs to bring back wipeout !

Add some of the crazy stuff from motor storm or have some destructible components and it would be amazing.
 
going by the recent trends of 1st party studios. It will be layoffs after DLC, the next game will be Driveclub2 (mostly re-using the assets of 1st game, more expanded content etc) in 3 years.
 
Im hoping for a new PS4 Motorstorm taking inspiration mainly from Pacific Rift.
 
If DriveClub is a success, more DriveClub. If it isn't, then Evolution will probably go the way of Studio Liverpool. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
