I used to love this damn show. TO ARMS! Who is with me? And don't get me started on Swat Katz. That was my SHIT.

Thundercats,Transformers, GI Joe, M.A.S.K, COPS, Ren and Stimpy and a whole lot more those cartoons are still awesome to this day.

I remember them screwing up the translation for Ronin Warriors. Mostly the virtues they were supposed to represent.

I still think Tiny Toons and Animaniacs holds up well today.

Technically Ronin Warriors was the 80s, it just came to the US in the 90s. =P

But yeah, Ren and Stimpy, Batman TAS, Rocko, Tiny Toons, Exo Squad(Though that show was uuugly), Gargoyles... def some good stuff from that era.

Yea and that's why it counts. We weren't shown it until the dub aired in the states. Same for Dragonball. In the US, it will always be remembered as a 90's show, even though it came out years before it in the 80's.

Here are some of my favorite ones:

Gargoyles:

and of course the typical Disney Afternoon Toons, Megaman, Captain Planet, Spiderman, X-men, Wild Cats..etc.

Turbo Teen and The Centurions were great, I'm sure I watched them during the 90s but maybe they are from the 80s

Awesome show. Gave up my summer vacation of sleeping in to wake to tape every episode at 6:30 in the morning.

Great villain voice for Talpa as well. Also interesting to note that the show was originally supposed to end with all of them dying at the end of episode 20 (so no Inferno Armor) but it proved popular enough to extend the series.

And for those who have the cash look at was was released in Japan over the last two years:

I'd commit unspeakable acts to get an Exo-Squad revival.

Re: Samurai Troopers / Ronin Warriors, it will always be an 80s show in my mind, even though it didn't air here till the 90s.

I have collected quite a bit of my favorite cartoons from the 90's to introduce to my children.

X-Men, The Tick, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Darkwing Duck are all present on my shelf.

There was one with Dinosaurs in mech outfits..they were red green blue purple if I remember. Never remembered the name..

Every single one of those were 80's except Ren and Stimpy, but I agree 80's toons totally outclass 90's toons.

Something "Wildfire" is what I can remember from that show.

The red guy's armor. Ryo of the Wildfire. Armor Soul: Virtue

Green: Sage of the Halo. Armor Soul: Wisdom

Orange: Kento of Hardrock. Armor Soul: Justice

Dark Blue: Rowen of Strate. Armor Soul: Life

Light Blue: Cye of the Torrent. Armor Soul : Trust.

Note though that originally Rowen is supposed to represent Wisdom while Sage was Grace (I'm thinking they thought Grace/Courtesy was wimpy sounded and changed it up).

aside from the popular/obvious ones mentioned, i remember really liking:

I remember the first season of King Arthur being really good and enjoyable.

And then everything went downhill in season 2 when they brought in that samurai squad but whoever funded the shows decided to give them scraps than the funding that season one got. The change in quality was very noticeable even back then.

Grace doesn't sound threatening at all! lol
