All of them were good except Uncanny X-Men #26. I understand comics are not realistic, but the last 3-4 issues have had so many completely unacceptable lines of dialogue. Scott says something about Xavier being a liar, and then Ice Man says "why don't you just kill him again?" I guess them being mad it him is an important plot device, but everyone knows it wasn't his fault, and saying something like that wouldn't go over in any situation I can imagine. It kind of makes me cringe.


Also, that ad for Gotham Academy in the back of Multiversity was funny. Are they trying to appeal to those manga nerds? Why do all the characters look like anime?


Southern Bastards was the best of the bunch.

I hope the first four issues were just supposed to be a big lead up to Earl's daughter getting revenge and killing for the next few issues. Like Kill Bill but in the South with a shotgun

I've read Hawken Genesis and a couple issues of Robotika. Didn't care for Robotika at all. That Hawken mini was alright but they switched artists after every issue. Some of it is really gorgeous.
I've been told that BleedOut is really good but not really sci-fi.

Original Sin #8: It ended well enough, but i hated the series overall and it should have been condensed and focused better, either make it a four issue Fury series or make it a six issue " everyone's secrets are exposed" series. Aaron did neither of them well.

Wagner and Grendel is basically my jam. One of the first comics i ever bought when i was like 7 or 8 was issue 9 of Warchild and i was instantly hooked. Read the entire thing, own the comico version run of the entire original series. All the crossovers up until just a year ago maybe when i started falling behind on Black White and Red ...

Please tell me he does the art on the inside as well. Dude is a bamf and The Shadow is good shit. Really hoping it's good...

Mitch Gerads is fantastic. Absolutely love his work, and I would not want Shalvey to replace him. It'd be cool if Shalvey had worked on another book that had Castle in it. Maybe if Thunderbolts had a good writer.

I finished book one of The Superior Foes of Spider-Man today. You guys weren't kidding, it's just great.

I met Steve Lieber at a con and seriously... after talking to him for a few minutes, I could already understand why the book worked so well. He's a really funny guy. Also just really cool.

He also uncensored one of my comics to add in an extra gag that got cut (there's one scene where Boomerang was supposed to be fantasizing about urinating on the decapitated corpse of his lawyer that got edited away) and gave me a free custom drawing after we'd stood around chatting for awhile.

I'd recommend grabbing Welcome Back, Frank and the first OHC of the Punisher MAX run used at GoHastings (plus there's an additional 25% off today).
The main reason I'm also recommending the first OHC of Punisher MAX is because it's in stock and really cheap and there's basically a flat shipping fee on GoHastings, so might as well buy both at once. Also, even though it's listed as used, chances are it'll come shrinkwrapped; I ordered the same book from GoHastings and it was shrinkwrapped and perfectly new.

I finished the first Superior Foes trade as well and it's just fantastic. One of my favorite moments was this. Pretty much every issue has standout moments, love this series.

Woo! Just got the package in the mail from Fauxtrot! (Well, I guess it came yesterday, but for some reason nobody told me.)
Everything arrived in perfect condition and I'm so excited to read the books. I have to finish reading the few comics I got from the library first, since those have a deadline attached to them, but after that, COPRA and God Hates Astronauts are top priority.
Also, the COPRA paperback is such a fantastic product. The quality of it is top notch.

Also, I'm hoping I'll be able to go to Long Beach Comic Con and get Next Men #21 signed by Mike Mignola!
