That's terrible. I hate sniper rifles. My friend hates pulse rifles. And hand cannons. And doesn't need or want the legendary and exotic titan items he has.
Just add a trade option or significantly increase legendary drop rates.

At this point, if you've done the raid, I would say you might as well do something else until the content pack in December. Doesn't really seem worth it to keep playing, other than maybe level alts.
Log in once a week, do the Nightfall and Raid, play something else.
The game is only supposed to be played solo up to a point... And I've reached that point. I think these changes suck but the biggest issue is the lack of matchmaking in daily/weekly/nightfall/raids. At least with the cave and Queen I could level to a point to try and solo shit but now it will take forever.

I'm mad dammit. How dare they close the only thing in the game that provides some certainty as far as rewards goes. The game lacks an economy or any form of guaranteed reward system for weapons/armor. I wish there was a way to play the game without updating so I could keep using the cave.

I thought that 30 was just the next plateau with Queens event, but after this hotfix I think its the peak.

Are we going to have a Cave Withdrawal thread? Feels like we should. Met a few cool dudes there, more than I can say for anywhere else in this game.

On a better note, I'll be on in about 30-45 mins. Just hit lvl 27 Hunter. Looking to do something really fun like farm the cave. Hit me up if you're in.
Sorry, couldn't resist. I will be on in 30-45 mins though and am up for anything except for Nightfall or the Raid. I did Nightfall last night and need something a little less intense to start off the evening.

Well then they'd be wrong. It's not even close to being an exploit. It's simply people dismantling what they didn't need for shards which they do need. If Bungies gave a higher percentage drop rate for non helms/chests or gave more variety people wouldn't be doing this as much.

Don't bother, Bungie will probably just hotfix it so Mission Loot resets are account bound. They obviously can't have any players progressing outside of Bungies intended timeline.

I think they'll get one, if only because the Legendary / Exotic ones are going to slowly experience power creep until the range is ridiculous. I already hate that LIGHT/BEWARE or whatever one.
Echo chambers are bad. That being said, if people are truly upset, they'll leave the thread, slowly, but surely.
Eventually, this'll end up in Community as well. Generally, things are more optimistic there.

If it were an exploit then everyone agree that it was the most efficient way to acquire loot. However, almost nobody agreed that.
Trying to make a safe haven on a forum would only neuter actual discussion and get shot down. This thread isn't just people drivebying on the game, people who aren't invested/playing likely have no idea about the patch notes or what they even mean.
Yep. Some people selectively read the posts in here, parse for negative, and then cry about it. I have plenty of praise for the way the game plays. But that's not what's relevant to the actual conversation right now. Everyone is talking about how the progression and loot is either boring or broken. People have a right to complain. It's imperious as hell to suggest that just certain subset of people need to pipe down.

Yeah great Bungie, why would I want to do those bounties and Queen's Wrath missions again and again for 2 weeks. Because getting the same Legendary over and over isn't giving me materials anymore but instead class materials that I can get from lvl2 mob farming.

I think patching the loot cave will actually help people get light levels faster.
It is crazy how many people thought that was an effective way to get legendaries. People should be maxing their vanguard and crucible marks every week. That will be way more fruitful than farming that cave for an equivalent amount of time.
I am a little upset at queen gear, but at least I am only 4 shards away from lvl 29 myself.

Why would it be an exploit? How could they not realize that people would use the armor to break down the materials? There's not that many rewards. Baffling they didn't have it like that in the first place if they considered it to be a big deal.
Stand on the cliff. Don't jump off. Kill everything below and the boss spawns. Kill it while killing the Minotaur that keeps spawning behind you.

The vast majority of people agreed it was the most efficient way to level up legendary gear. If that wasn't the case then there wouldn't be such a big uproar about it.
