If the Queen's Wrath is going to just give us 2 armor pieces and a legendary, what are we supposed to do with these extra armor pieces if we can't get shards? It makes the Queen's Wrath missions pretty useless.

Just got the option for the Exotic bounty for Invective. Problem is, I don't know if I can get a k/d spread of 25. What do you on guys think, should I go for it anyway or not bother? The other two are bad juju and thorn which I don't really want.

Go for it! Play it safe and put a couple nice games together and it wont take long at all. And of course if all else fails.. you can always go in rumble with a couple of friends lol

It's an easier bounty than the other two as your assists count for that too.

I have Bad Juju and I love it though, working on Thorn currently...

Jeepers creepers, the whole point of the queen's missions is to get the queen's rewards. Once you've gotten all of them, omg, you're done with the queen's missions. The daily bounties are to give you daily opportunities to get them.

The only problem with that is I've gotten the damn Queen's Hood 4 times now, and nothing else. They should have set them up like exotic bounties, IMO.

I had no idea the challenge would be that difficult, but I keep hearing from folks that it is.

I got the challenge done within 2 games of rumble. Though I'm fairly competent in Crucible, I'm no 420no-scopel33tist. I'd say equip a shotgun and an AR, then go to work.

Play control. It's easy to go positive in control because people clump and focus on things other than kills.

It's not fun but, redoing the same Strikes over and over isn't fun either. So I'd go the Cave for an half hour and get way more loot than I'd get doing anything else...

It's about judging the type of player you are.

Want to hit the casino and take a chance on the RNG? Play the cave.

Want to go to your in-game job? Do Strikes and Crucible for your pittance.

It absolutely boggles my mind that anyone thinks sitting in front of a cave entrance farming re-spawning enemies is fun.

Its says alot about Destiny the game, than the players IMO. The cave was more of a hub than the Tower.

Farm some engrams, do some patrol missions, complete a public event...good times :'(

It's because there is nothing for players to do together in the tower. No reason to interact. The cave brought people together for a common purpose in the wild.

If they added silly things like a crazy shooting range and a race track into the tower you'd actually see some socializing because there would actually be something to do and/or watch.

We need a poker table in the tower that we can bet glimmer on. Exotic prize tournaments on the weekends. Add that and I won't leave the tower again.

Bungie themselves gave a pretty good description of why it can be fun.

The social experience of a cave farming run is amazing: the herding to get a team of Guardians all behind the line and firing in the right direction, the rush to grab the loot, the scramble when the panic wave starts, the beckoning glow from inside the cave. The speed at which the community organized around this activity was inspiring and humbling to us.

Add in the public event and it's pretty easy to see why people enjoyed doing it on occasion.

With how this games party system works, there is really no way to tell who's on what mission when you're patrolling or doing a strike, but you knew what everyone was doing at that cave.

you need a total k/d spread of 25. so you can go 25 games of 11 kills 10 deaths and get it

Just realised it doesn't mean a kd of 25/1, just 25 more kills than deaths. That should be fairly easy.

But what if you only need one thing(say, the helmet) and keep getting the robes doing the same missions again? That's frustrating for the player to be at a whim to their mission end coin flip, doubly so when you can't even get materials from the duplicates now.

i'm still going to do the queens missions stuff... going to at least get the level 1 for the shader stuff

i'll just save the mission tickets til bungie decides to run this event again in the future with a clear idea of what they want to actually do

I hope bungie is taking notes for destiny 2 on making a better loot systems.

I have seen more rare/legendry engrams or whatever they called from farming the cave than I have doing patrols/strikes/public events and stuff.

Ok, after 2 days trying to get the 25 k/d spread for the exotic bounty, and failing misserably, i humble request the help of 2 kind gaffers to join me in skirmish, im fully confident that using mics and some cooperation, i will be able to fullfil this crap, in exchange, il be on call every night to help with bountys, strikes or whatever may be needed, thanks, a desperate soul.

Ps: Fedeuy, on Ps4, will be on in about 4 hours.

To solve the cave problem they should make legendary engram's almost never drop off low level trash but make it more common in lv 22/24/26/28 heroic versions of missions and strikes. It seems like a much better solution.
Yup. Another no brainer. Tougher enemies giving better drops is like, the most basic idea in loot games.

What really bugs me is that the reason they gave for taking it out was "because we want you to play the game like so, because we know best."

That was one of the better parts of the developer's notes. They could have chided people about the cave but did not. Kudos on them for that part.

They should have just fixed them both at the same time. Take away the cave and the Queen shards but at least push out that fix for engrams and loot when doing so.

Yup one pve for chest one PvP for helmet make them sensible quest chains and this wouldn't have been an issue.

So if I get to a hard part of the game and die a few times, my chances of getting any loot anymore is nerfed? I dont know how I feel about this.

does the bounty take into acct your prior kd? because I'm prolly well above that on avg and is that 2.5 or 25 because im figuring 2.5

It absolutely boggles my mind that anyone thinks sitting in front of a cave entrance farming re-spawning enemies is fun.

Yup. I did it last night with my fire team for a good 30 to 40 minutes. Sure, I scored a legendary engram that actually yielded a legendary armor piece for my Titan. But I was bored to tears.

At least the company was good and both the WarSAT and "enemies moving against each other" events were fun.

Now the real problem will be finding people to run the Queen mission with me. I still need the legendary chest piece.

Yeah, that's a fair point. It should at least give you something.

Hm.

Actually, there's no fair way to fix the event to adhere to what they wanted:
- Make fewer bounties, fewer opportunities for 24s
- Make nothing come from dismantling, you can't make prizes random

Straight up just ill conceived, but allowing an exploit that moves people ahead faster than they designed the game to handle is probably the thing they want to happen the least out of the scenario.

The whole game is an exercise in re-spawning enemies. In the same way, in the same locations.

The loot cave actually had an actual functioning social feel. It also included two of the few decent events during your stay in the area.

I'm sorry man, but you are the one not making sense to me.

What then is the difference between getting a legendary helmet at 20 and going up to 21 and getting the same legendary helmet at 25, breaking it down into mats and then going up to 26?

Why is the latter cheating and the former not?

What's the difference? Bungie intended and still intends for it to be the easiest way to actually get legendary gear.

Now Bungie may or may not have initially intended for it to be used to level up legendary gear so fast, but unlike the former, they definitely don't intend for people to do it now since they took it away.

Whelp, after reading the dev notes bungie just released about taking the shards away from queens armor, reducing the cave loot, reducing AR and telling me in playing the game wrong this is going to be traded in to gamestop on Tuesday for Shadow of Mordor. I am so irked at them. This isa game about do what you want but only as long as you do it Bungie way. Ugh.

So if I get to a hard part of the game and die a few times, my chances of getting any loot anymore is nerfed? I dont know how I feel about this.
The penalty to drop rates is only for a limited time after dying.

The whole game is an exercise in re-spawning enemies. In the same way, in the same locations.
Yeah, no. I mean, the mission objectives lack variety but this is reductive to far beyond the point of absurdity.

Just saw a lone guardian at skywatch.

Yeah that would have been the best thing to do. Least I am only 500 to get to Crucible level 2.

Anyone up for the Weekly Heroic on X1 around 8:00 or 8:30 ET? I made it to the end solo but the boss takes forever and I ran out of ammo. Feel free to hit me up: dmh33.

I'm a level 27 Warlock and need the damn coins...

It's really weird that there's nothing like a shooting range, especially when it's your main place of obtaining guns but have no way to test or tweak the upgrades.

But yeah, you can do nothing but awkwardly headbutt some laggy ass ball. It was fun in the beta to just see random dance lobbies but that only stays fun for a short amount of time.
