"So... think you can kill a God."

lmao, I didn't even catch that since I was so phased out by the story that by the time I got to the end I was just blabbering with my brother about life and shit(played the whole campaign co-op).

Well, if god was 3 sponges, I guess you could.

I'll feel better if they put out an actual narrative next time. The best thing about the ME3 ending was the fans didn't accept the bullshit and complained to high heaven. I bet you Walters to going to try a shitload harder for ME4.

I mean look at Dragon Age Inquisition. It looks like they learned all of their lessons from DA2. Horrible reception can be positive for fans in future titles. Cannot wait for that game.

Yeah, after this new patch and the news (??) that they are nerfing the chest runs, I'd rather suffer through bad anime because at least I can scrub past the crap. lol

They're taking away my chest/material farming too? God dammit. They took my last... glimmer of hope.

I think I am going to buy shadow of mordor..... I am done grinding in destiny for now

Good man, Mordor deserves all the love it can get.

I just did that mission. Fucking lol
To be honest Chief and Cortana would've made that sound cool.

Cortana had more personality in her left boob than Dinklebot did in his entire "where's his ghuuuuuuuuust"

"looping around the barrens for hours on end isn't our dream for how relic iron is gathered"

This makes me angry. If you are not glitching or abusing the netcode them you should be able to play how you want. It's like taking your kids to the park but making them go on the swings 10 times before the slide. Maybe that is your idea of how playing should be but your kid begs to differ. I paid 60 bucks for a game I was told I could play my way. They are now taking away stuff they feel "isn't the right way" to play. I just don't get that. It's MY way to play.

If this was FTP then I would totally understand. If people want to farm the cave, so what? They are not getting an advantage over anyone else. They are choosing to spend time there rather than doing Summoning Pits 25 times to get better gear. Grinding Queens missions for shards? Ok. How does that negativity impact anyone? Maybe some people find that more enjoyable than running around the moon for 8 hours to find chests.

Bungie said they were making a world for us to play in for 10 years. This is your guardian, build him, craft him, rank him, meet others, make him you. 2 weeks in and they take away aspects that you find enjoyable to do just that because it is not in their vision? If you want a player to be in a corridor shooter and completely forced down a cow shoot then make the universe one big hallway.

Anyway, sorry for the rant and I'm not trying to thread shit. I have got 3 days play time on Destiny and just feel very let down that bungie is forcing their will on paying customers. So, off to Shadow of Mordor and Sherlock Holmes OTs. I hope you all get tons of enjoyment playing this game for many years. I find it is just not for me after all.

yeah, when they lead in with "think you can kill a god?" you expect something a bit more than 3 minibosses in a row identical to everything else you've fought all game.

they done fucked up. I do not get it. $500 million.
Every boss is a miniboss, just bigger. Sepiks = a big servitor. Phogoth = a big ogre. Nexus = a big hydra. Fallen/Cabal bosses = similar models with more health.

The writing in Destiny is garbage I'm sorry. If you know one of the writiers thats a bummer but they released the game and should be prepared for criticism.

I play the game with a clan of over 15 people every day and none of them know anything about the plot. Hell I don't even understand what's happening in the game.

When you've put 40 hours into a game and you don't even actually know what your enemies are there's a huge problem.

Learn to let it go, Dax01 doesnt want to hear anything negative about this game. Last OT she replied to a criticism with "If you dont like the game, dont play it."

I'm seriously considering shelving this game for a bit, at least. Almost lvl 28, was going to hit it today at bounty reset, thanks to Queens Wrath missions, but not anymore!

Oh and the writing is pretty horrible in this. If I was responsible for it, I'd be ashamed. Thats not calling for someones head, thats called a normal human reaction to performing poorly under the gaze of public scrutiny.

I haven't seen anything about that other than one poster asking if that was done (presumably because his chest run didn't pan out so well?). I think we need to wait/test a bit before running with that.
Maybe I'll give it a shot in a bit. But if they really are going to nerf that, then the game might as well be a coaster.

I almost wouldn't mind grinding the same map over and over again if the load times weren't so terrible. That was what made grinding mats for set gear in Diablo 3 tolerable because you could just portal to town and load back into an area in seconds. Yeesh.

Well the game has my husbando Troy Baker in it. And it is a fun game to play

Would you be complaining about this if the spawn timers for the Hive cave were 40 seconds when the game was originally released?

Seriously guys.. unless you've seen an official post somewhere, don't jump all over ONE POSTER's comment about a perceived difference in his chest run just yet.

If someone has a link or quote that supports that theory, then by all means provide it so we know for sure. But relax on pitchforks (for that at least) until there's something solid.

Funny enough the minibosses of the strikes are more often original. Devil Walker(aside from the public event) and the tank thing on mars.

I reaaaaalllllllllly hope they dont kill chest farming. Thats one of the few things I actually enjoy, knocking out some patrol missions and bounties while running around looking for chests.

If they take that away, I dont know what they want us to do, honestly. Crucible?

I'm sorry hunters. If you can't beat them join them. I shelved my 26 Titan and started a Bladedancer. Which means it will be nerfed next patch. :(

Btw arc blade is soo much better than fist of havoc. Being able to move and kill multiple targets that are spread out is awesome.

Wtf. Did this thread become a platform in which people declare they don't want to play the game anymore? lol

People are just frustrated with the choices made. I started out loving the game, but I decided to shelf it and pay more attention to my college work because it isn't worth my time at the moment. Maybe when they release some game changing revision, I'll check it out. And I'd rather have people complain in this thread instead many other threads popping up in the Gaming section.

If I were bungie I would have made all exotics only obtained by finding a rare part drop and then doing these unique bounty quest like things, they all seem to have a little story and hunting down a target instead of the boss for the thorn is rather cool.

tales of how people got those weapons ect would work like this instead of xur selling them every weekend or random drops from the crucible.

In fact when I think about it, PSO on the dreamcast did so much right, with random enemies of a rare colour which could drop parts you take into a quest to turn into a frying pan or hilderblue head cane and so forth, it's sad that all these years later games like destiny drop the ball on what could have been a cool loot system.

It sucks. It really does suck.

This is always the proper course of action!

Fuck today's daily heroic mission with rhinoceros cock after taking Viagra.

It took me two hours to solo that mission and that last boss was the FUCKING WORST SHIT EVER. It took me forever to realize all I had to do was use a hand cannon, gunslinger, and a metric fuckton of grenades.

I still heated over losing the Cave to Bungie's selfishness.

*EDIT*

That mission was the final campaign mission?! WAT??????

Bring back the mysterious woman dammit.

Finding a rare animal on PSO was so damn exciting!

I miss that game.

Titan is great in Control, since everyone gathers around the cap points and they have that ground pound thing that can take out all the guys at once.

That's the issue really. Both Titan supers are ridiculously situational and require the other team to play a specific way for them to be useful. If the other team isn't grouping together then Fist of Havoc is just a free kill every few minutes which isn't that great. Ward of Dawn is nice for capturing points in Control but aside from that it's pretty worthless since people are just going to avoid you while it's up.

Not to mention the Titan grenades are awful, especially the Striker ones. The melee abilities for both classes are pretty ho-hum as well, both requiring kills to really be that useful.

So I had given up on the game a few days ago. I realized I wasn't enjoying myself anymore, maybe I never really was. I guess I felt the need to keep playing to try and validate my time investment before.

Anyway I'd been avoiding the OT but reading the new patch notes on Eurogamer made me actually laugh out loud. How is it possible they could be so clueless? That's a real question, I truly don't understand.

The problem was not that mobs were spawning so fast, the problem that is that there isn't enough content and playing what is there is not rewarding. They needed to buff the other content not nerf the cave! Hahaha oh man I just can't believe it. For the record I never did the cave myself but reading that the Queens Boutines wouldn't even give shards anymore was too much for me.

I think it's important we share our thoughts because there's a lot in this game that needs fixing. I know that people who are enjoying themselves find it frustrating to hear but the OT is a place for anyone who is playing the game, positive or negative I think.

What I find amazing about the Crucible is that Bungie implemented anti-idling checks. It's like they knew some people would rather idle in the Crucible than play it because that's the only way to level up rep and get Crucible marks. lol

Well, to be fair, Control isn't about K/D but about getting more points... so if you are keeping guys from capping points, even if they are just staying away from the Ward, then you are helping the team.

Would you be complaining about this if the spawn timers for the Hive cave were 40 seconds when the game was originally released?

It's not one particular thing they take that bugs me it's that players find a way to play the game that they feel works for them and bungie says since they wouldn't play that way they are going to make it so you can't either, anymore.

It won't stop here. Someone will find a way on the moon to get helium faster than others and they will patch it. They will see people found a way to kill the walker while in cover and they will patch it. Someone will find if you sing happy birthday while shooting a Scott rifle at happy gilmores on the second Thursday of each month they will make it offline only on that day going forward.

Hey, it's their game I get that. I'm salty because I never cheat, glitch, try to break stuff in games. I play honestly and in this game I found honest ways to make me enjoy it more. Having that taken away for no other reason other than, "that's not our way so it can't be your way" doesn't sit well with me. I did pay 60 dollars for it, you know.

Anti-idling checks are good because no one who's actually playing the game wants to be on a team full of idlers.

I like this idea a lot! I wish it were the case, and not something where an exotic weapon is given to that AFK'er in a PvP match who was playing and eating a burrito with his other hand.

Invective is my first and only exotic weapon and it was from the bounty and I really enjoyed the quest to obtain it.

I havent resorted to that, but I can see how some could be over it by now.

Got my Titan to level 20 and after putting my exotic helmet, legendary arm piece ran a queen's wrath mission and got the chest and I am now sitting at level 24 lol. Just need to farm mats and some boots now.
