Anyone have any experience with Suros and Vanquisher VIII? Would it be worth it to upgrade? I just drained 150 marks a couple days ago in Vanquisher, have the coins for Suros, but curious if there is anyone who have tried both and have a consensus and if it would be worth it to go with Suros. I play PvP and PvE regularly, just haven't raided yet but plan to.

This doesn't make sense lore-wise. The Crucible is a training ground for Guardians to improve their skills so they can be more effective against the Darkness. Why would Guardians on Mars shoot each other instead of working together to fight the Cabal and Vex there?

96.7% of the game doesn't make sense lore wise.

I'm sure they could cobble together some reason. "The Darkness is stronger in this area, effecting the minds of guardians and sending them into a rage". Heck they could even make it a place for earning Dead Orbit/FWC rep and claim that the other guardians are in competition for resources.

As we're all nigh immortal anyways, it doesn't matter too much...

I just thought of a PVP mode that might be cool in Iron Banner:
Control, but each spot has a different burn modifier active. So solar damage at Zone A, Void damage at Zone B, etc...

You can switch it up. I use Sunsinger with Fireborn on the nightfalls because fuck returning to orbit, but everywhere else I like to change between abilities and subclasses.

Can we get a Lawless Patrol Mode?

As there's a 15 person per zone cap, its certainly not going to be beyond the realms of possibility simple keep us all in the same zone instances. Simply give willing people the option to go down to a planet, farm crap, do patrol missions WHILE FLAGGED FOR PVP.

I'd personally love the opportunity to earn crucible rep/marks while farming vanguard stuff, perhaps even throw in some new patrol missions to wipe out other guardians too.

Variety is the spice of life, and I'd love this option.

I really wish they had this. It would be sweet stalking some guardians.

Unfortunately, it doesn't really work within the lore. Crucible is a training ground so it makes sense. Dunno why other guardians would sabotage each other. Would be fun though.


What they COULD do is allow for duel invites. Find a public place away from enemy fire. And challenge a random passerby to a duel. First to 5 kills or points or whatever wins. You can even do fireteam and fireteam.

Even better? Allow for wagers. You can wager glimmer, materials, even armor and weapons.

This way you let the guardians test their skills against others and just have ghosts revive them if they lose like in the crucible

I'm not familiar with it, I was going to buy the crucible version (grim citizen) but really wanted the suros. To me it has the best stats out of all the ARs.

Only issue would be spawn camping... And getting sniped from unseen places. That said, it'd been 10x more fun than the Crucible for me.

Is there a cheesy strategy for the boss in this weekly? Or... at least a safe one? I'm level 26. My solar legendary fusion rifle tears through shit because of the solar burn modifier, but I'm still dying at the boss.

Don't go into the room on the Nightfall. Kll the mobs from the top. Stay on ledge and kill boss. Have one guy who looks behind you for the mob who will spawn behind you. Kill him, then go back to boss. He spawns alot so be careful.

Yeah that too. But mostly my thought process is the more ways I can go invisible = not showing up on radar even more. Plus helps to activate arc-blade vanish, then go in when I'm not on radar as well.

I'm a HC/Shotty combo for more context.

So I'm thinking of just buying the Crest of Alpha Lupi for my Titan instead of trying to scramble 10 more coins (haven't done weeklies yet so it would be possible) for Suros Regime. Can anyone tell me if the Crest is a good end-game piece if fully upgraded? I already have the Vanguard Legendary chest armor with 2 defense upgrades on it so I don't want to throw it away if it is better at the top end.

It's really good for PvE. Nightfalls and the like when you need super speedy revives. Plus, the extra ammo for your secondary weapon is always a plus.

It's replacing my exotic helm, but that's really because I'm a defender, not a striker.

Its points. You get x amount of points for killing a Titan and Hunter and more points for killing a Warlock. Assist also gives you points.

There's also a cheese on the boss where you can hide behind a pillar, pop out, shoot, pop back in.

I think it's easier than dealing with the minotaur that spawns, but thats just me. Took us about the same amount of time using this.

It's replacing my exotic helm, but that's really because I'm a defender, not a striker.

Thanks that settles it. I'll get the Crest and then get my marks up for Shadow Price. SP has better damage anyway. This way I can have a Defender chest for Strikes and then grab the Helm of Inmost Light the next time it's available for solo PvE/PvP Striker use.
