I held my own through the Vault of Glass with Thorn as primary twice and played some of my best pvp-games using that gun. It is absoltuely fine for the Raid or everything else in the game.
But there are a lot better options out there.
I'm now using "The Chance" (bought from FWC) until either the Thorn get's the promised buff, or I finally find another exotic or legendary handcannon that beats the Chance's improved reload and grenade-energy-restore function (Sunsinger).
That hype is tempting...so tempting.
For Queeny missions, yeah you get squat.

There are 12 total rewards from the Queen event including an Auto Rifle and Handcannon I believe... But if you're level 20+ I think it only gives out the legendaries. The other stuff is all rare items.

Most likely. I've cleared the final boss with people using handcannons on the oracles, but I know I couldn't do it. The Last Word has 8 bullets and the reload time can't be compared to the other primaries.
Hand Cannons eat the supplicants though.
Honestly, if anyone is defending, they may as well equip a handcannon, a void sniper rifle, and a void machine gun. This is probably the best setup and even makes sure if you're accidentally warped, you can actually do damage to oracles and the minotaur if necessary.
I will say, the fact that by nature you can only level up one exotic at a time is kind of compelling. I hated the fact that they take so long at first, but now I see that it forces you to really work on your preferred weapons for use first, and decide which to put on the back burner. I was all about unlocking WOLFPACK ROUNDS for Gj-horn, but as soon as the gunsmith had those rifles my priorities rather shifted. On the other hand Thunderlord and Super Good Advice are just gonna chill at 0xp for quite a while.

I don't use ARs. What's your gun? Finally got my hands on a Regulator with the "extra damage from last round in chamber" mod. I just need to get OUT of the habit of reloading after kills and I'll be a beast.
edit: Thorn?you don't have any exotic special/heavy weps, eh? 6 rounds, I just don't know man I just don't know.
In regards to your edit, I do have Super Good Advice. If I do use it, I switch to my rare hand cannon or legendary scout rifle. But I also have Zombie Apocalypse, which is super stable compared to SGA, and both are solar type.

Personally I went for it because of the huge Discipline and with 100% on disc + Radiance = grenades everywhere. I prefer the fusion grenades over Solar so it works for my playstyle better than sunbreakers. Not unlocked the health regen on super perk yet so dunno what the nature of that is.
I've heard Zombie Apocalypse causes its user to break into maniacal laugher while firing, true?

Super Good Advice is pretty lacklustre tbh. I have one upgraded a fair bit, but the recoil and range are too poor to really count, even if you get your bullets back. It can't reliably get headshots, which is why I prefer other Machine Guns.

Well, I did laugh and grin while going on a nice 7 kill streak in Clash last night. As to the Guardian laughing, I haven't heard any new lines from her.

I agree. I have an Arc Zombie. After the counterbalance upgrade, the recoil feels hardly even there

DoT means Damage over Time. Usually a bleed effect or poison effects are common DoT's.

It's frustrating because weapons take so long to upgrade. Just spent hours upgrading a Legendary AR that frankly isn't even very good.

Seriously though, from what we know it's random. Probably after so many bounties or a certain level but know one knows for sure. I'm level 28 and I've done a ton of bounties but haven't seen an exotic bounty yet.

I never said that you or other people using it can't aim. All I said that you don't need to worry about aiming because firerate will compensate for lack of possible head hits. It has nothing to do with if you can or can't aim.

I have mine maxed out. It's like a Call of Duty gun; no recoil and kills in a few bullets.
It seems to be totally random, just have to luck out when doing your normal bounties. He seems to give you a selection after a turn in.
If you self rez, it's big bonus is not very helpful. If you're spec'd for any other flavor of super it probably at least has some benefit.
Edit: Also on the subject of exotic weapons, I have a maxed out legendary scout rifle. I'm not sure that when you compare that or raid legendaries with elemental damage to an exotic that they are worth it. It seems like exotics fit best into special or heavy weapon slots. Thoughts?

My buddy got that from a purple engram roll. It's pretty awesome. Fires fast for a hand cannon. Fires it cowboy style smacking the hammer. Even flips it around the finger when weapon swapping. Pretty cool.

It's a shame he's not selling the auto rifle training buff this week. I should have bought one a while back.
Hand cannons are fine for the oracles. I prefer my fusion gun, but ammo isn't always plentiful so I use my hand cannon a bunch. There should be two of you killing the oracles, so they shouldn't last longer than 2 seconds regardless of your weapon type.

Can confirm! It's spits rounds fast and has large mag, specially next to my "Swarm". But I still like Swarm better.
