My bad. I got sick of fucking reading the same thing over the span of 30 minutes.

So ignore it. I was playing, then afking PvP due to the frustration and decided to post. It started about an issue, auto balance/team balance and then moved into a discussion about why I was pushed to even pursue PvP in the first place. Whats the problem?

nope, they are just now added to the possibilities of being acquired at the end. You can still get crap, but now there's also a (probably slight) chance to get legendary items. I would assume it'll be similar to Crucible where RNG favors nobody and gives the exotic AR to the worst member of the team
I got a lot of Legendary Engram (two or three) each time I level up the Cryptarch... if they didn't change that it won't be hard to get them.

And again you seem to be missing the entire point. You seem to be acting as if everyone plays like you do. From the looks of it you basically just took any piece that increased your light. Which is fine, I'm not telling you how to play. It isn't what I want though, I want a specific build/stat set. I want pure Int/Disc/Auto Rifle gear, guess what, I have to PvP.

Why do I have to PvP? Because FOUR out of the FIVE vendors are tied to PvP, that is 100% BS. Look up to my previous edit, or I can re type it w/e.

The game 100% pushes PvP, it is the most efficient way to get the specific stat's that you want.

Yeah, I do agree with this. It's kinda bullshit that you can't use the Vanguard and Crucible marks interchangeably for the 3 faction vendors. Especially when Vanguard rep applies directly to those factions the same as it does with Crucible rep.

Then either ditch your goal of getting that precise set or put up a fight at the very least in PvP. There's no excuse for screwing up the game for others because you want the game's high level gear but don't want to actually go through the game's requirements to get it.

Ok, I'll put up a fight. What is the requirement so that I'm deserving? Wanna get my gear and never have to PvP again, then you guys can PvP against those that want to PvP.

I was at 22/23 strange coins, and rather than stress out farming my ass off for that last coin for the Suros Regime, I just bought the Chest of Alpha Lupi instead. Make myself powerful, or make my raid team powerful, I figure. The faster revives will be useful (albeit not in hard mode), and so will generating more orbs. And the ability to carry more ammo for any special weapon I use will also be very nice.

Those things are totally random as well. I've gotten a whole bunch of blues from those packets(not degrading purple, actual blue engrams).

But yeah, those are probably the same. But with an engram you can still get armor for the wrong class/materials. Leveling up factions already give a random guaranteed legendary.

Try to kill as many enemy players as possible.
Try to avoid getting killed as much as possible.
When in doubt, run to where the rest of your team is and support them.

Or, as mentioned before, you could just say to hell with PvP and set your goals on PvE attainable gear.

AFK PvP is a shit choice because you are just ruining the night for others who DO want to play crucible. I have no interest in it either, but that just means I won't be getting PvP exclusive items.

The past three times I've leveled him up, I got two blue engrams.

He knows what I'm trying to do.
Last two I got five Purple Engrams
that ended 5 blue gears... he like to troll me :D

I think the random class is fair because it will make you create others classes... I'm playing with another class just to share the gears... and the random of the classes is not that bullshit... you have 33% change to get the right item.

Only once has levelling up the Cryptarch given me purple engrams and they converted in to blues on redemption.

Just think, if we combined our efforts Bungie would surely listen to us. Oh wait.

Don't force people into PvP if they don't wanna PvP, same for PvE.

I think another problem with Destiny is once you hit level 20 it's confusing as fuck. I know I need some light and I've managed to get 17 light...but then played for a few hours and still have that same amount. How in the hell do I get more light to get to 21 if the Engrams aren't giving up any better items?

Honestly I don't even personally care since I'll figure it out eventually, but for many people this has to be a deal breaker. I could see it being really annoying to the point you'd just not be having any fun any longer and quit.

Same deal with Queens Wrath. I see some weapons I can't get, and there's some bounties...one of them is telling me to headshot 15 Guardians. Sooo is this crucible (pvp) only I guess? And what if I don't ever want to play a crucible match? Tough?

I may be so confused because I'm only a little ways into Venus and haven't been to Mars, but christ they really should just simplify this shit like it was for levels 1-20. Why change it and complicate it so much at that point? Makes no sense to me.

anyone care to do the weekly heroic strike (nexus) with me right now?

i'm hungover, tried it solo and got the boss half way dead but can't get past that point. and i have an exotic bounty that i need to accomplish this to redeem.

PSN: NEONBEAR

Oh man, I accidentally dismantled Kabr's Defending Grasp, and I was the only one out of six who got it. Maybe I need to keep the extra shit into the vault.

Thang god Thorn is getting a buff because that last Summoning Pits challenge to unlock it is really off the charts difficulty wise. It doesn't represent the reward at all.

They haven't forced me yet.

The game is designed to include PvP exclusive gear. You want that gear without doing PvP. You are doing it wrong, not Bungie.
Shouldn't the PvP exclusive gear be bought from the PvP faction? I don't get how people cannot agree that crucible marks being the currency for all factions besides Vanguard is dumb.

I should join 1 game, kill a guy or die, and then immediately leave to save my progress then

I'm not PvPing because I want to, I'm being forced to by Bungie for the Invective
All you have to do usa get higher than a 1/1 kdr by one kill in 25 games, or get more kills over 1/1 in less games. It's really not hard at all. Be a cheap shottybro like me and crouch near objectives. You'll be done in 5 games, tops.

After two weeks of destiny obsession I need to dial it back and return to life :'(

So close to level 29 too!

Sorry Heroman, BMO, sevewe, Raven and team for dropping out last night. The time difference was a killer.

Would any UK/EU people like to try and form a semi-regular raid group around weekends and evenings where we can plan ahead when we'll do it?

Yeah, that'd be good. I only seem to raid with Americans so far. :p

Add me: figadapaura

Yeah, I'm okay with there still being a chance it's for the wrong class. What was so frustrating before was just how many layers of potential backfires you had to go through. Even if you got beyond the actual degrade y/n check (which certainly seems heavily stacked against you) it could still then just be materials or an item for a class you might not care to pick, which again is stacked against you. Just crazy to me that they launched with that originally since it seems so obvious it creates a bad feedback loop for the player.

I don't know - I just look at everybody except Vanguard as the Crucible factions. The Reef Queen and the ole Weekender Hunchback McSquidface seem to play both sides as well.

I'm pretty sure Bad Juju isn't intended to be a PVP exclusive weapon.
If you can get it without doing PvP, then sure.

No you just don't pick the PvP bountys if you don't want to play PvP... It rather simple.

It is dumb, and I hope Bungie fixes it. But for now, it works like it works. Bungie may change it later, or they may not. Why not get the gear related to the content you like until then? Tip: don't try and min/max your armor this early I'm the game. If you find gear with light AND the stats you want but not the ammo type you want, go for it. The ammo doesn't help that much, anyway.

Or join a game... kill 2 guys in a row... die one... kill more 2 guys... die another...
You can die... you just need to kill w guys before that to increase the counter.

Some hints.

1. Play Team Deathmatch (not Control or other game)
2. Play close your team mates but never got the offensive
3. Play safe and kill the guys you team mates already started to kill or died in your front

That is it... use your mates in the front line to receive the damage or deal the damage on the enemies... so you will get a easy kill because the enemy is already weak or he is focusing in your mate.

I got average of 5 kills in a row playing that safe... and the last match I did 8 kills in a row when the completed bounty popped up (after that I got happy and relaxed and got killed until the match ends lol).

Or you can use the boost mode... create a fireteam of 6 friends with the same objective and go to Rumble... one guy per time kill everybody until reach 25 kills... after that the other do the same until all get these 25 kills.
