This is probably just bad luck on my part, but has anyone else found it nearly impossible to get Ascendant Energy over the past few days? I keep getting Shards for everything instead. I run the daily public events and heroic story mission across 3 characters, and I'd say the ratio of Shards to Energy has been about 15:1 the past several days. Just this morning I've received 6 Shards and 0 Energy, again.
My inventory currently has 52 Shards and 15 Energy (granted, some of those Shards were thanks to the Queen before the nerf, but not the majority of them). It's almost become funny at this point, or it would be if I didn't need just a few more Energy to fully upgrade my exotic weapon. I thought I'd have it finished days ago.

I got a warlock to 20 in less than 10 hours doing bounties for crucible and campaign. I only did the story missions in campaign and alternated between those and pvp.
Ah cool. So is it wise to just stick with one faction and get these engrams or lvl all of them through that mark of the ___ thing?
I tried but seems psn doesn´t want to co operate at all atm :/

I don't have these issues, game only hiccups for me in one spot, patrol... On earth, on way to the Rocketyard /chest route/new loot cave.
Where do you live?
Yup weekly much longer quest lines with better rewards would be much better

Yeah it took me about 20 minutes just to send a friend request to someone before, it's usually pretty rubbish anyway but today it seems to be more delayed than ever.
Liverpool/UK, using Virgin Media, perhaps it's them but I've seen people comment on having a similar experience as that too. Just as a random speedtest;
There's no issues with the connection itself, so it's either VM blocking specific traffic on their network or the Destiny servers aren't that great for me (I should point out I'm not saying it's a constant thing, I can get through PVP just fine but it has it's moments of just utter nonsense like in that video where you can be shooting someone and nothing happens).
They - need- to get rid of the "get 200 headshots in pvp" ones, those are just not happening at all
my alt is a exofem!
Yeah, I wouldn't mind a "double xp" day or something for that, I want to reach level 2 so I can finally start working on faction rep

Get a Fireteam on Earth and split up to 3 different areas, do bounties together and finish them off quickly. Do this for an hour or two and you'll rank up really quickly. I'm almost rank 3 and patrol missions on Earth + bounties got me ranked up quickly with a group.

Loved the Naraka, my favourite weapon in the game, wish you could make it a Legendary. I did get a legendary scout rifle but it fires so slowly and notice that many legendary scout rifles have the same stat so watch that. I never paid attention to the fire rate stat before but lately it's all I look at.
That's the hardest part, getting a fire team together, I have an average of 30 people online and always have my party set to anyone can join....
Bah what I'm getting at is, there needs to be "matchmaking" for everything
Does anyone know what happens if you complete the same exotic bounty twice? I just got my fourth and fifth ones, but they were for ones I had already done so I destroyed them. Pretty ridiculous that you can get repeat exotic bounties when only six exist. I've gotten the same batch of 3 every single time.

I don't mind it. I'm going to do the "Super Good Advice" one for the second time, to dismantle it and get some ascended materials.
What I don't like (and I will not do those) if being forced to do PVP for many of them.

Is there any point in leveling up Vanguard/Crucible etc past Rank 3 or should I move on to another class to rank them up (not that they really have anything different)?

Once u get rank 2 don't do what I did and spend 120 marks on the helm. I saved up weeks to buy it then I did the queen mission and got one = wish I had bought a weapon instead
