Had this rifle for awhile but never bothered with it in pvp cause i figured it would be broken like all other fusion rifles.
 
Funfact: Rounds that richochet off hard surfaces (skip round upgrade) can in fact hit the person who fires them. Nearly killed myself with my own fusion rifle.
 
Is there any basic advice, tutorials or whatever anyone has for complete newbies in PvP? I'm honestly not bad at PvE, but am utterly utterly terrible. Shockingly bad.

Some of that I presume is my lack of an exotic weapon and armor piece, but it's really embarrassing how fast I die.
 
Hey guys I have never done the Raid and am looking for a group to try it out on. I am level 27 and will be level 28 today. However my friend can join us after 2pm MTN tomorrow. He is level 26. If anyone is on PS4 add me blackingcobra3 :)

I get occasional harassment whenever I use women characters online. And with a name like kittens, even more people think I'm a woman. And I've even played with people from GAF who've gone out of their way to target and harass women in PvP, though thankfully not in this game.
 
I just got a legendary machine gun from a rare engram :) I would've preferred a rocket launcher, but I guess I will try it out.

I almost have full legendary/exotic, but I lack the materials to upgrade them. Even if Bungie allowed full exotic gear, it is useless without being able to upgrade.
 
Assuming weekly strike coins don't stack, lol?

Also, if anyone wants to join me I'm about to do go for the weekly strike on PS4 (breakfuss). It's the nexus on Venus. Bumping to hard (lvl 26) since I need the coins for Xur.

He says the game have flaws but enjoyed the game... a fair review.

The game is so vicious that I stopped all my other gaming activities just because it is fun to play it.
 
Where can I get good weapons for the crucible ? Ive found that I only have high clip/rof weapons with lowdamage and tthese seem to be awful for PvP.

As with any game, burst damage seems to be the way to go

all the faults are dead on - but at the same time he's also right in saying that its amazing FPS at its roots and the game has a ton of potential that can still be tapped

The game is fun as hell, but it's got its fair share of issues. Go try the full game when its cheaper if you're really interested. Don't let some youtuber's impressions keep you from playing it.

Joe never said the game was bad per say, just disappointing. He's right about a lot of things in the review too.

However, I still find the game enjoyable for what it is. Just don't come in expecting a big time story/lore fest with exciting mission based content.

And as stupid as Bungie's statement about how "the game gets better after 20 hours" is, it does actually get better. The problem though is that the first 20 hours is supposed to make you like the game, NOT after. XD

Overall, I thought his review was fair despite the fact I find the game very enjoyable myself anyway.

i dont get the hate for joe tbh

he's not wrong and its not like he's just yelling constantly like his youtube name suggests. he made some great points. he's made great points on a LOT of games and honestly he's probably got a lot more support for his views than many major outlets - can't knock the guy really

You don't need to be an expert to have an opinion. I think Joe's analysis is half assed and stupid sometimes, but I generally like him.

I completely forgot about the patch and levelled him up, it wasn't until I grabbed my legendary engram that I realized I should have waited. I got a couple coins from it so it could have been worse.
 
I haven't had much time to play since launch but I dinged 10 and reached Venus,

The Vex is a cooler enemy than what has come before it.
 
Same here, I need 1 coin. The issue is my IRL friends aren't good enough to do the weekly strikes yet (they are playing this game super casual) and for some unknown reason to me, the weekly strike doesn't have matchmaking.

Any tips?
