Just a little question guys..
I know the patch is supposedly gonna fix the descriptions and whatnot, but they are going to demote any legendary we own to rare ones.
Does that apply to eventual rewards from leveling up the cryptarch?
I have a couple of blues on my inventory ready to have him decrypt them, and that is gonna bump him up to next level. I've been getting 2-3 "legendaries" for the past 3 levels, so I'm pretty sure he's gonna give me the same this time. Question is: are those gonna get nerfed too? They shouldn't since I haven't yet received the reward from postmaster , so they don't actually "exist" yet, but since it's close to tuesday I can just wait and do it then. All I'm missing is some legendary foot gear and I don't feel like buying it since I might get it as a reward soon. I'm using blessing of the gifted as an emblem and I feel it has been helping (might be placebo).
Also got my first exotic bounty ever, but it was kind of a poisoned apple..it's for the fucking Thorn and everyone says it's a pain in the ass. I already have The Last Word, so I would have 2 exotic handcannons which is kinda redundant.
Also, I've been reading people talking about buying the rare weapons the gunsmith sells now and then. Are those connected to the possibility of getting more exotic bounties? What's that talk about "i'm at 9/10; I'm at 5/10 currently"??
Since I can't get a legendary scout to drop, and I'm only working towards Vanguard Rep atm, which scout is better to buy? Proxima Centauri or the A.1F19X-RYL? I'm leaning towards the latter, but I don't wanna spend 150 marks on something shitty. So far I haven't found a scout which I couldn't use properly, even though I like some better than others.
Well, I guess the small question birthed a lot of big ones, sorry. If anyone can help I would appreciate it
I got the Proxima today and actually quite like it. The range and impact is great. It feels like an auto sniper if you ask me. Haven't tried the A.1 but looking at the stats I'd pick the Proxima over it any day of the week.
Full auto mean that as long as you hold down the trigger it will shoot 3 round brust, it doesn't make it into a auto rifle.
I just did this yesterday. I did it in 2 matches. At no point did it factor the spread being 25 or more at a given time. It simply follows a spread over multiple ganes. Assists count.

I believe full auto for pulse rifles just means you can hold down the trigger and it will continually fire burst shots. It doesn't actually start firing like an AR or anything.

I find all of Crucible ridiculous. I've never been good at PvP but I have at least enjoyed it previously.
right now I'm of the opinion that Warhawk takes a huge dump on Destiny in this regard.

Is it my imagination or are Hand Cannons better at popping heads than any other weapon at short to medium range? I have The Devil You Know and I must get head shots 80% of the time. Though I do like a good Pulse Rifle.
And another thing. PvP. The weapon you use only uses the default stats not the unlocked stuff like bigger clips etc? So does this not mean that those with Legendary and Exoctics have better weapons? And therefore if you're sub-lvl 20 you're gonna get your ass kicked by all the lvl 28's etc?

Yep, wasn't very helpful getting teleported with all the Oracles already up and the portals constantly putting us back on to Mars/Venus when leaving. Watching this video we were probably doing it much slower than we should have been though with too much focus on clearing the Harpies so they wouldn't kill the 3 running back through the gate. The constant focus on Atheon seems to be needed and he can be defeated in not much time at all.

So for those of you who did Nightfall this week, two questions; Is it better to break arc and void shields before laying on the solar double damage, or just going solar from the get go? And second, on the boss, if you just stay up on the ledge, do you have to kill the adds or just the minotaurs that spawn up top?
They are. In PvE anyway. I believe they have added head targeting aim assist.

If you have a game where you die three times before getting your first kill, then get 5 kills in a row without dying you will still lose 3 points.

That's actually what I tried. But the Minotaur spawning up there always got me. I really need to get a solar weapon.
It's no problem. I'll definitely add you, I'm still not high enough. Going to spend the day running Patrols to hopefully get my Vanguard rep up to at least Rank 2 this weekend.
I also have a regular Fireteam I run with (one Hunter and one Titan), so if you have three of the same we can have one of each subclass and be ready to roll, potentially next Friday night.

The former at close range, but if you have the luxury of potting away at a distance, just go with Solar.
On a side note, just want to apologise to the GAFers on here who tried to add me the other day when I asked for help on Nightfall. For whatever reason my friends requests weren't going through that day, so I wasn't able to accept the requests till after I'd already completed it

Have one break the shields then lay into them with Solar.
Kill 3 of them below and the nexus should spawn.
Keep a close eye on the minotaur that spawns on top, a pain in the ass that one.

Agreed. I was playing with gaffers last night and First Light came up at least half the time we played. Such a terrible map.

perhaps in a surprising twist of events, blind watch is a decent map in salvage. well, decent by blind watch standards, which when weighted properly doesn't account for much. but it's playable nonetheless.
twilight gap on the other hand... well if you capture the relic, it spawns all the way on the other side of the map and gives you no sightlines to it unless you're standing within shotgun range. can't say i expected anything else though.
burning shrine continues to shine brightly however, although salvage does it a bit of a disservice since the relics clutter some of the hallways, which goes against the map's original design.
it's a decent gametype. the musical cues are a nice touch. hoping to see more objective modes in the future.

I just strafe left, right, left and randomly, constantly, and it seems to work. Only time it doesn't really work is in confined spaces. But as long as you're getting headshots, it's not too bad. I still find shotguns worse to deal with.

I don't see how any of that counters what I'm saying. It's an easy bounty since assists count. I went 12k, 14d and 10a and ended up with 10/25 points on my bounty.

The story is the weakest aspect of the game. If you have friends playing at high level, stick with it and have a blast.

The story sucks. Bounties, patrols, strikes, raids.... this is where the game shines with friends.

If they have different damage types you do. It is good to start collecting weapons that you like in the variety of damage types for use in heroics and nightfalls. A type for every shield and bonus damage modifier.
