Destiny |OT5| New patch out Tues., Master Rahool reportedly crying into his robes

The gun is no doubt very strong but that video showcases a player who is far better than his opponents. Most of them seem to have poor overall situational awareness, allowing him to get his shots on them first and the few times with some should have the drop on him they either miss most shots or they're charging at him to try to kill with a shotgun.

Considering that you can't even get the gun unless you beat Vault of Glass on Hardmode, and that Hardmode Vault allows for no revives.. it's safe to say that any player that has one is pretty skilled to begin with. I don't think the gun itself needs adjusting BUT I could see reason for it to be banned from all PvP modes that aren't Iron Banner or Trials of Osiris.

What? Hard Vault is worse than Nightfall? I just thought it was just 30 instead of 26.

Anybody know the best Defender titan spec for nightfalls and raids?
Raid:
Weapons of Light (Makes Athean hell of a lot easier)
Untouchable
Titan Codex II
Titan Codex V
Gift of the Void
Magnetic Grenade
Increased Control (I went with this due to Agility boost)

Melee upgrade is your choice. I went with Unbreakable due to shield continually recharging while the effect is up.

Nightfall:
Same as above but you can change Weapons of Light for either Armor or Blessing of Light due to team wipe = orbit. You'll want to have better shield and take less damage for yourself and team.

Edit:
Also, having gear that decreases Super and Grenade cooldown is a huge plus for both raids and nightfalls. Especially for Nightfalls since as mentioned above, team wipe = orbit. You'll want to have your Blast Shield ready quick to throw down.

Just so I don't potentially waste an evening: You don't get Queen-Rep from completing the Kill Order missions, just the Legendary items. That is correct, yes?

Oh was it? I will admit to not reading all the lore but I just made the assumption that the exo race was linked to an exoplanet.
Na, made by humans as there army.

Grims are brilliant source of info.

Ffs bungie put them in the game, and a way for ghost to scan shit like they did with kinect on Halo CE except on mass scale.

What? Hard Vault is like Nightfall? I just thought it was 30 instead of 26.

I don't know if it's quite like Nightfall. The only thing I've heard said is, "There's no revives in Hard Mode." So I don't know if that means a party wipe kicks you out or if it just means that you can't revive the dead during the encounter like you can in normal. I would expect the latter though. The former seems like it would be way too strict.

Yeah, pretty sure it's the latter.

I play with headphones on and sound is pretty much the way I find 90% of my mats and chests.

Yep, this. I go to where they should be and use sound to help me determine whether anything is there, rather than spending time to fully look around the room.

Destiny pumpkin carving time! shhh don't tell the girlfriend.

Moonraker OP
Are you going to update your guide(i.e. the part on engrams) when the new patch comes out Tuesday?
Have you seen part 3?

Unfortunately, belonging to other threads that are now closed, parts 1 and 2 have been locked in time and cannot ever be updated. But that's okay, they will always remain useful and the later guides will always correct anything that has changed.

He's skilled and his opponents are garbage. If you know me at all you should know how unlike me it is to call players bad or anything of the sory. But I'm honestly surprised that video has had the reaction it has.

He cleaned up. But the second place person has 6 kills 9 deaths. Have any of you played Rumble? Not every encounter is with the person in first place. You can do well even when you're getting crushed by someone doing better. But that doesn't happen. Also a ton of his kills are from the "10" that comprise the last place dude's 1 kill 10 deaths.

i don't see anyone taking him out with a quick-charging fusion rifle even a single time. not because the gun is so amazing it stops them, i just don't see anyone trying. shotguns are obviously a terrible idea against it.

Playing Salvage with randoms in a nutshell:

"Probe activated, defend it!"

*randoms immediately run away and get killed in 10 seconds, every time*

Warlock 28 ps4 looking for raid at 8 if anyone wants me. Have both trees max so cqn be what ever you need me to be (prefer sun)
Only have solar weopens though, dont know if that effects shit.

It's better than a heavy machine gun. WTF?!

Fair enough, but he takes out a shielded warlock in about half a second.
Don't get me wrong, it looks incredible. Certainly a more understandable use of the exotic slot than Suros Regime ;D

but until having played against one I'm not calling it an "Equip and win" gun or even necessarily OP.

Do the Queen's missions reward boots at all? I've seen the helmet a ton, the robes a couple times, a ship, a sniper rifle...I need boots, but can't seem to find anywhere that lists what the rewards actually are.

Bungie's 'there's no info for anything' bullshit is getting old.

Unexpected.

I guess the later would be better since most of the encounters usually go south pretty quickly if someone dies anyway. I thought you meant if you die, that's it.

What if it's in the middle, like Pocket Infinity?
From what I've seen of the weapon it should wreck shit in PvP
But IMHO it's nowhere near as hard to get as that Vex Cytoplast weapon, even though Exotic Bounties are hard to come by
I want to see pocket infinity fully upgraded vs the mythoclast! They need to be used very differently but there are situations in that video where he'd have been absolutely wrecked by PI's full auto in comparison!

you've seen all the 4 possible rewards.

The more I upgrade my Shadow Price, the more I don't regret ignoring the Regime.

My Shadow Price was dropped from the Nightfall this week. It gets faster reloads after a kill and after emptying the magazine, so it doesn't get the accuracy boost like the one you get from the Vanguard vendor.

This thing is a monster when you get the Perfect Balance talent + get some attack boosts.

Salvage and Skirmish are basically unplayable with randoms or even no voice chat, IMO.

also, by far the worst thing about the Regime is that it's an exotic.

Why the hell is xur gone already? Bungies idea of a "weekend" is fucked.

Now I'm stuck with yet another exotic bounty slot I can't complete that's taking up space until Friday. Ugh

i have no interest in cod, if everyone leaves the crucible then I will simply become king of the crucible and that's all there is to it

I will be there to challenge you for the title.
You will win.

Rahool is my boy now Hawkian. Had 11 coins when Xur came and 23 motes. This was my hard earned spoils from since the beginning. I really wanted the Knucklehead and didn't want to grind more coins, I said fuck it and bought random helmet engram. What do you know, Xur, the magnificent bastard, gave me the knucklehead. Saved me 11 coins.

Shortly thereafter, I got a purple engram in crucible which he chose to decode into the Thunderlord Epic heavy machine gun. After that I heard him complaining about his headaches and I wanted to actually get him an aspirin.

Does anyone here have the Red Death?(Auto Rifle, not disease)
I'd like to know how well it does in PvP

My legendary engram, which came from a Random Salvage match, would have to have a word with you
Skirmish though, eek.

You have to think about it that the expansions are located in Earth and the Moon.

Based off of the secret/non-secret areas that are locked to us as for now.

View the red areas.

I guess the later would be better since most of the encounters usually go south pretty quickly if someone dies anyway. I thought you meant if you die, that's it.

Considering that it's Level 30, it would definitely be best if it was only that you can revive during an encounter but I've never seen an explanation of the rule that truly clarified. While things can definitely go south quickly if players die in normal, groups can definitely recover from it. No revives during the encounter would be just enough of an extra difficulty to make it harder but full on kicked to orbit would be insane.

I got the Proxima today and actually quite like it. The range and impact is great. It feels like an auto sniper if you ask me. Haven't tried the A.1 but looking at the stats I'd pick the Proxima over it any day of the week.

Thank you for the reply :) I guess I'll grab the próxima then, looks like a very solid gun overall.the only thing that made me rethink was the special ability of the other scout: enemies explode when killed through headshots.I have no idea how effective that is, if the splash damage is good or not. But I will get the proxima, thanks for the help!

So I'm a Vault of Glass virgin as level 27 hunter. Do I have to wait until 28 to pop my cherry or will I just end up getting a STD and keep dying from single shots?

I will get the Shadow Price from the vanguard shop on tuesday when I get more marks, unfortunately I have reached the cap for this week so cant make any more. Stupid shit!

noooo don't let him get youuuu

lol. nice rolls. Thunderlord is amazing and while I wasn't sold on the Knucklehead at first, after a few Crucible matches with the "Knucklemoon" combo it's one of my most prized possessions.

lmao. i don't know exactly when it happened, but I've stopped paying attention to the reward rolls at the end of crucible matches.
