For Venus: after patrol starting point, go to the left, the first wide open space. Just around the area boundaries, finding caves with chests and shit in the wild.

For Mars: directly ahead of patrol starting poing, run around the area boundaries, finding caves with chests and shit in the wild.

For Earth: in the starting point of the strike, run around the area boundaries, finding rooms with chests and shit in the wild.

I don't have a good area for the moon.

LOL. Thanks. I'm typically on the moon and Earth so it's a slog either way.

Having just played through the raid I totally understand why there's no matchmaking for it. It was an amazing experience (one of the best I've had in gaming for a long time), and it would have been ruined if just 1 or 2 guys didn't have mics or were douchebags that dropped out in the middle of it or any number of other things.

The way I see it there are two things that are bigger problems than the raid not having matchmaking.

1. All the best ideas seem to have ended up in the raid and nowhere else. Makes it a lot of fun and very fresh, but they seriously couldn't have included some of these ideas in the "campaign" or in the strikes, even in simplified form? I feel bad for the people who will never play the raid and miss out on it.

2. The Strikes. They are not only way too few, they are too easy and too similar to the average story mission. Why aren't these like a 'raid-lite'? At least they are improving the rewards in the coming patch, but a couple of additional strikes are desperately needed, preferably a few that take some cues from the Vault of Glass and offer a challenge that feels different.

Funny you saying that strikes are too easy (which as a whole I agree with). Since they said they want to nerf the bosses hp as is. Once people get upgraded stuff they're all huge pushovers.

I just want more strikes :(

Found a chest on the moon that gave me 2 legendaries, 250 glimmer and 15 helium filaments. Then mailbot gave me a legendary as well. All turned into rares of course. Fucking fuck! Still only have one legendary chest for doing the queens mission. Thank god for this patch. So fucking ridiculous.

sorry, had to

Its becoming a trend

I have one.

lol, there's just no exact run, since everything is randomized. Eventually you should get a feel for it.

Xur selling the Suros Regime this weekend has absolutely destroyed the Crucible. It's all I can do to finish bounties at this point.

Naw it's fine at least for me, it's the blade dancing bastards that piss me off. Even with full flameshield buff I still get one hit KO'd from a stupid Hunter. I I always get this sick satisfaction when I smack a Hunter before he can pull off that stupid move.

I've got quite the conundrum and need advice DestinyGAF:

I just hit level 9 in the Cryptarch. Usually this gives a legendary and two blue rewards. I haven't officially went over to the postmaster to receive the rewards yet. Should I wait for the patch to make sure I get a legendary or go get the legendary now? I'm trying to avoid a downgrade in quality.

The last time I received a legendary it was for a Warlock class which pissed me off...

They are supposed to be designed around people who have finally acquired the gear in order to do them. Reducing boss HP and damage will just make it less of a pain in the ass to keep repeating them, though.

After engrams this is the design decision that flabbergasts me most. I don't understand the behavior Bungie wanted to incentivize with their design.

Materials should absolutely be rewards for missions. Running around the overworld to gather them is just busywork, even when running patrols, because the world itself is strictly leveled.

Yeah its very boring running around the overworld to gather mats. Just finding myself playing this game less and less due to the super grindy mechanics.

Grinding out materials to get 28 was mind-numbing. Thank god for podcasts. I've mostly taken to muting the sound entirely when doing repeated content and listen to NPR or something.

Played earlier and ended up getting two legendary engrams from Crucible. One ended up being a decent legendary rocket launcher but the other was an exotic scout rifle named MIDA Multi-Tool. Apparently the radar on the side of the gun will point you in the direction of materials and or chests. Sounds pretty helpful.

Anyone else need to run the lvl 24 The Queens Wrath? I dont have many psn friends, was hoping for a teammate or two here! Ill be on all night.

I'm waiting until the patch.

Spent Saturday leveling a titan to 20, and then proceeded to enjoy the game way too much when I moved my 27 warlock's Suros regime over for shennanigans. Running level 20 strikes with it just feels unfair.

You guys do realize each material is so fucking easy to accumulate if you do loops/route posted on youtube

Shit
Look at my stash:

If you can't get roughly 60+ materials from the routes within 30-45 minutes, you are doing it wrong

Where are these route videos? I need tons of spin metal and helium

Yeah blade dancer is simply outrageous.

Fair enough, I've been leveling both just want to get a feel for how they both do in raid.

A Bladedancer can do fine, your super is just no use most of the time. There are certain situations which golden gun is perfect for.

2 Sunsinger Warlocks
2 Defender Titans
2 Gunslinger Hunters

Perfect VoG team imo.

Destiny should have a way to have you but materials from vendors WITH GLIMMER. You know, actually make Glimmer not so useless...

Would make the grinding at the very least much less tedious.

Honestly I'm suprised they haven't implemelted a glimmer for resource vendor yet. 500 per item would be a reasonable price without being too low or high. I constantly have to buy ammo synthesis, way more than I need, to keep from capping glimmer.

Gearing up after 20 seems like such a pain. I wish it was more of a set path than relying on RNG. I read the guide, but I'm not seeing blues drop anywhere near that rate to make it quick.
