The TV commercial has them without helmets, space turtles
It doesn't have the best stats in the game, but it makes up for it with the piercing rounds that makes the target bleed. Most handcannons require you to hit the target with 4 shots in the chest in PvP, but the Thorn only require 3 shots since the piercing rounds takes care of that small amount of health that is left on the player. They are down within two seconds after your third shot hits. This saves you those extra two shots in PvP, and 6 bullets magically become 8. Combined with a very high fire rate and stability (with upgrade) targets are very easy to bring down.
I imagine they will buff the ammo count to at least 8 and also increase the reload speed, which makes Thorn very viable for both PvE and PvP. It is probably the most underestimated weapon in the game atm.
If anyone else was wondering what the Cabal looked like under their helmets; it took a while to get a good screenshot because they always keel over forward once you pop them:
Ugly bastards!
something something gears of war
just acquired the GIlgamesh shader, I approve
will hold me over til chatterwhite is mine.
Glad you finally got one. I'll try turning in 5 at once and see if that triggers it.I got my first one over the weekend at Level 26, I turned in 5 bounties at once and got the prompt, not sure if that has any bearing on how it works but now I'm superstitious.
the low blow out of nowhere.
Link/picDisagree here. I love the look of my hunter.
Had to look it up:

They're also in the live action advertisements. I never realized you weren't able to see their faces normally, huh.
something something gears of war
True but it is hard for them to be useful in a hard mode raid.Hunter is pretty much my next class.
OP super in PvP
Cloaks
Stealth
Hand cannons
Best helmets?
I did have a few nice armor pieces saved up but I melted them down in a fit one night to lvl my current gear.
Buff gunslinger to 5 shots and yall can keep your mashy free kill supers
I shut down a Sunsinger in the Crucible today. After I killed him with my Thorn, I moved on and shot at some of his teammates. Then I noticed movement behind me on my radar. I turned around and saw that the Warlock had resurrected. I activated Bladedancer and sent him back to his grave for the second time. Praise the sun? Nope, Ride the Lightning!
I really don't see how. The only time I kill them is when they are dumb and pop it out in the open and are extremely far away from me. They jump all over the place and are so fast that even then it's fucking impossible to kill them. Oh and that fucking shield. Jesus.
Today I killed one cus he was going in a straight line. It took more than half of my machine gun ammo.
Don't fight them. Run.>Survive Bladedancers.
Used by anyone with an IQ greater than 50, you're almost guaranteed to die outside of sheer luck. Unless you happen to have a multi-rocket tube ready to go and a good lead time on the target, you won't kill him, and even in that situation, there's a good chance you die anyway (most likely by suicide, as by the time you fire your second rocket he's probably right next to you).
It's cool. We don't like your Titan Shamwows either.
Seems like most of the exotics are a bit weak out of the gate.
To me they seem more like cool rare skins than really much better weapons than normal legendaries.
.
Figures. Have you ever gotten a "Bounty Lead" from the postmaster? I got one yesterday right after I received the Final Boss sniper rifle, never even heard of getting an invitation for new bounties before.I never do more than 1 or 2 at a time and I have gotten 2. Its pure random like 99% of the game.

There was a grimoire entry or something I came across that had info on "pressurized space suits" and the "helmet being the weak point" or something like that, but I can't find it again.
Don't fight them. Run.
The only time I even think about killing them is if their health is already really low. Otherwise: run, evade, change elevation, change direction, hide behind corners, etc.
eep, this is probably going to be a huge disappointment to you but the numerical stat values on armor and weapons are basically uninteresting to me in this game :-X. The idea of min-maxing DPS in favor of taking my favorite loadout is not something I really see happening. All I really care about is how a weapon feels to use and how many shots it takes to kill (how many hand cannon head/body shots put a shielded player past 0), rather than the actual number value of the damage being dealt.
If you guys could mix subclasses within the same class, what abilities would you choose?
Mines would be a Hunter with Golden Gun, cloaking, higher double jump.
So Arc Blade isn't OP because if you're really lucky you MIGHT be able to run away long enough to escape with your life?Don't fight them. Run.

> Putting angled brackets next to a sentence.>A gunslinger bullet is not a free kill.
I survive the majority of the time. I estimate 60% of the time or more. I find Nova Bomb and the Titan smash way more frustrating, personally. I usually hear when Bladedancer and Goldegun are activated and I hide. It's pretty simple to me.So Arc Blade isn't OP because if you're really lucky you MIGHT be able to run away long enough to escape with your life?
Okay.

I think there are a few exotics that start out decent but unremarkable and become balls-out amazing. pocket infinity is one of those exotics.I thought that same thing until I unlocked full auto for Pocket Infinity.
You mean 4 kills with the exotic helmet, right?
Okay, I've been repeatedly opening chests and checking out all the caves, and I have yet to find a story. What's the drop rate on that?

Probably not a popular opinion but I'd actually prefer the little RPG-style damage number floaters weren't a part of the game.![]()

What does it mean.
I got 14 rare engrams waiting to be decoded for tomorrow's patch, and a Crypatch level up reward in my mail box.
