Theres no point in stockpiling them for the patch because the patch notes stated that only encrypted engrams you find post patch will be affected. Not ones you find/have beforehand.

So I'm totally going to miss Xur this weekend, I'm in desperate need of a new main rifle and like a dummy I didn't save coins last week for the SUROS.

There is potentially a point in keeping them if you are very close to leveling up the cryptarch. Do you want a purple gift from the post office that turns blue or would you rather wait and know your purple reward is actually a purple, yellow, or materials?

Pretty productive morning. Did the Nightfall a few times (probably the easiest one yet), got invited to the second half of VoG where I picked up the Titan chest which will allow me to hit 29 easily (though I have to wear Helm of Inmost Light which is whatever), got the daily and weekly done already, hit rank 8 Vanguard and got a chestpiece (aka 2 Ascended Shards). If I can get boots off Templar sometime this week I will be able to hit 30 at some point soon.

Now I just need some better legendary weaponry, and a blue sparrow to use this Void Drive on.
