Not ideal, but at least- Striker is Arc damage, fist of havoc into a group of phalanxes and they'll explode. The Flashbangs also do crazy good damage.

I was in a shitty situation because all the people I added and who added me were too high level for me to join (I didn't play much first week) and now that I'm closer, I don't know what the hell is going on or what to do.

The PvP is fun enough for me to keep playing for a long time tbh, regardless of whether or not i'm still earning things. (which I still am and probably will be for a while so that's just a plus)
I'm still trying to figure out who thought it was a good idea to make it so breaking down Queen's Revenge armor rewards gets you less than killing the three large Hive enemies hanging out in the basement near the initial spawn point in Old Russia. It takes ninety seconds to get down there, and it is always more glimmer than replaying a story chapter again. There doesn't even seem to be a clear replacement on what to do for shards without spending hours hoping that something drops.
No one was hostile in any way...
Anyway, it sounds like this isn't the game for you then. We're just saying there are ways of finding groups and it's pretty easy. It's not as easy as being matched up by Bungie, but it's not really a barrier to do anything unless you just don't want to interact with other people.

It does at least have a perk of being able to see the (real) radar when zoomed in.

You paid $90 for content, some of which is explicitly stated to be raid content, and then are upset that you can't do a raid because you don't want to do a raid? I don't understand. Most of us here love the game and are pretty friendly, so rest assured there's no hostility coming from us, but this kind of attitude is pretty unappealing.
Matchmaking doesn't work for raids, sorry. And that's not just in this game, a raid by definition requires coordination that can only be achieved with voice.

Hrm, that's a good way of putting it. They take some things but not the others....and people are getting pissed off about that(That being, the patch not being out/no clarity on when the patch is coming).
The patch came out Wednesday last week, but until it happens again tomorrow, we can't mark it as schedule. So we'll see~

Nobody can deny the game is extremely stingy with loot. You'll see what it's like once you hit 24 and try to progress. Now that you can get the Queen's armor easy, it won't be as big of a pain. Before that, you had to keep playing until RNGesus blessed you with a legendary armor piece.

I just wish I didn't have to come into a thread to do it. When I click on someone's name in Destiny that I've added from here, why isnt there an option to "Join Fireteam" if there's an empty spot?
Actually, it's not very easy at all. It's a major PITA on short notice. Basically, my biggest issue with the game.
dude. That weapon has unique animations that are only used for that single gun, and the best fire rate of any hand cannon in the game.
I'm not interested in it for obvious reasons, but ideally I would have a partner that had it and wanted to help me conquer the universe.

That's true. I've got this particular Exotic and tbh I'm not a huge fan, but it does have a neat ability.

Do the moon strike, and just blitz through as fast as possible, more often than not, there will be others who are trying to do the same.
The Earth Strike is another one, but that one is prone to dickery because people will run up to the Fallen Walker kill it and then quit because of a shitty bounty. /still pissed about.
Phogoth runs. Just run through all enemies and go straight to Phogoth. You can drive your sparrow half the way through too.
Given the state of the game and how the community has responded, it's pretty easy to find people at around your level to do content.
In fact, if you're sub 24, it's easy to find people within the game due to the Strike Playlist.
25 and up will require taking initiative and posting in this thread for help or going to Reddit, DestinyLFG, or what have you.

I'm not sure where you're getting "hostility" from, but if you're that butthurt about not having matchmaking and would rather complain and call out people who are trying to give friendly advice instead of using a fraction of that energy to form up a group of friends on here (or the multitude of other forums on the internet), then I don't really know what to tell you.

between this thread and www.destinylfg.net I frankly don't think I've ever waited longer than three minutes before having a full fireteam. Try it out!
This exists- press the Options (or Start, I guess) button on them. However, it's likely better to preform your team so that everyone knows exactly what they're in for.

Did people really believe that the guns compass tracks resources? Suros Regime has the same thing, and it was pretty obvious from the start that this was supposed to be a compass.
That's why i'm hoarding arc weapons!

Earned my second exotic, sungloves, by a legendary engram (probably my 15th - 20th legendary engram).
Can't see what the problem is!
First exotic was Hawkmoon, hand cannon, a truly amazing weapon that I'm glad I got nearly after I turned lvl 20.
