Actually, my prediction is that it has ~no effect on advancement. If executed properly, it will merely alleviate the negative psychological effects of the engram system- you won't be any more or less likely to receive a "progression-grade" item from it.

The patch notes said that they are going to add Engrams to the rewards of Daily, Weekly and Heroic Quests, So there's actually a small glimmer of hope that Bungie is okay with player progression.

I want a second Suros Regime without the slow fire perk. I use / alternate 5 exotics and have received 8 total. Only two came from exotic bounties, and I'm whining about wanting a 6th. I'll also finish two more exotic bounties tonight. A dupe at that.

It looks awesome though.
Right now it isn't great, but will be buffed. 15 rounds goes way too quick and it just isn't viable at the moment. Looks awesome though, all it has going for it at the moment.

I've had this happen twice but it's so fast and messy I'm not sure what exactly happens.
Overlapping bubbles make it hard to see when you've left yours and entered his, it's a messy messy ordeal.

I love it.
Its just really shitty grining for the auto-reload, but when you get it you will fall in love.
Its my go-time when cleaning up lower level stuff for bounties, patrols, etc.

bad. it's snappy and it glows green. that's about it.
the mag is way too shallow. auto reload sucks if you don't get a kill, and unless it's a low enemy you wont because the DPS is poor.
I know, its starting to get annoying. I got most of my gear by purchasing with marks or strange coins, got lucky on crucible but its like winning the lotto.
I don't care so long as rare engrams stop decoding into uncommon items etc. It's such a let down.
Slowly crawling up in levels and hoping that they patch in random matchmaking for heroic strikes and the raid soon. Still unbelievable that Bungie thinks this game is so strategic and team focused that you couldn't just scrub through the missions with randoms.

Its a monster. Easily cleans up level 24-26 enemies in one clip and allows you to move onto the next guy without reloading.
I was using it in the Raid the other night and fucking the Vex up one after another.

I got one from a Cryptarch level up and it's wonderful. Mine dropped with:
Secret Round: Missing a shot from the burst will fire a 4th shot (awesome)
Third Eye: Radar stays active while aiming down the sights (pretty awesome)

When does the XP reward happen for strikes and story mode missions? Is it right at the end after the mission countdown happens?

leveled it up to instant reload and now i actually like it less.
It's kinda nuts how you can begin getting rep for a character at such an early level. I don't think I touched bounties until I was at or near 20 on my Warlock.
I already have a quarter of Rank 1 filled for Vanguard on my level 7 Hunter and that was from yesterday.

Yeah. So many times i thought if it worked faster, i could use it to avoid some of the crazy that comes my way.

I got Red Death exotic Pulse rifle and I love it. so amazing. to be honest my least used weapons are hand canons, shotguns and grenade launchers. not in that order.
Blue engrams? Aint nobody got time for that. What is the cap on weapon parts anyway? I have 237.
I am saying since in the near future legendary = legendary or above they are going to be allot more rare. People assuming they will get legendary engrams for crypt arch level up rewards for example.

I find I just play crucible now, and only for the grind. I run the 'play 5 of X game type bounty' and keep a few random bounties open that I know I will eventually hit on pure chance.
Seems like the best way to level over time. Grinding rep seems like it might take a long time though. The steps between each rep level are way too big. I figure if I can get lucky on a few post match drops I can be 27'ish in a few weeks without putting in 8 hours per day.
