Dayum. Why didn't anybody post the Asami one?

admiral dog there's still time to hop on the Goddessami bandwagon before book 4 starts

once it begins though... its over, no more fairweather stans. i will drag all who speak out against Her until the bones in my hands shatter and my tongue recoils down into my throat.

I like Asami enough, but I'm not going to join her fan club because she's the only well-rounded character in the krew. If she gets more screentime and does more that tag along and maybe defeat 1-2 henchmen per season I'll join.

Interesting interview with both Bryan and Mike about Book 3 and 4.

'Legend of Korra’ Creators Talk Season 3, Moving Online and the Final Chapter

Konietzko: But the network does know that this show is huge internationally. It does really well for them there, and it does really well for them online — digital downloads, streaming, DVD and Blu-ray. It does well in all that stuff. So they know it has an audience. They just haven’t found a way to make it work on their channel. And the show does skew older. That’s become more of a factor than it was for Avatar. So could this have done smoother? Yes. Better timing? Sure. But this was kind of the way it was headed anyway. And we got the news the day before Comic-Con! [Laughter] I was trying to get some work done so I could [get to the show] when I got the call.
DiMartino: There are so many good ones. I love Opal. There’s something about her and Bolin’s relationship that’s really sweet. I wanted to write a character that was just a … nice girl. But without it being boring! That was the tricky part.

Konietzko: You don’t want to make her stereotypical. But she seems genuine.

The fire lord looks a lot different than how I pictured her.

She doesn't give the impression that she'll be fighting much this season but then again
Suyin surprised me there.

Now just need to see how the red lotus will tie in with the earth bender plot.

Not every Fire Lord has to be proficient at fighting lol. She seems like a smart lady, probably has done wonders for the economy/situation of the fire nation.

what if she has blue flames

I thought you had to be emotionless/cold to make blue flames?

Well it would be nice to have just in case some crazy of people started to assassinate world leaders.

Certainly would have helped a certain earth queen.

My thoughts are about the same, that the Fire Lord will be a sort of anti-pole of the Earth Kingdom's chaos and Kuvira's or the Red Lotus' march towards power.

She is probably very popular and maybe not even an absolute monarch anymore, more like the U.K. after it transferred most of the monarchy's powers to the Parliament in the late 18th century, or Japan after WWII. The Fire Nation will most likely represent what's good about hierarchy, honor, tradition and balance, in responde to the absolute chaos the Red Lotus has sowed or fascism Kuvira promises.

That's my hope, at least, that they use the Fire Nation in that way. However, they will most likely go down the route of making the United Republic a symbol of balance, along with a rehabilitated Korra.

Or both!

EDIT: The art coming out of the fandom after Book 3, and now 4, is incredible. Shows how much "Change" brought back a lot of Avatar fans or inspired them. Not that there isn't great Book 2 art out there, but it's exponentially grown in quality and amount within these last couple of months.

I wonder what the team will talk about at the next comic-con. A year will have passed, and they might not even be working for Nick anymore.

They still have the NY comic con panel coming up later this month but they said that the last SD comic con panel will most likely be their last for Korra if I recall correctly.
Guessing they'll be taking a well earned rest after the show is finished.

So from that interview, it sounds as though they'll be working on more Avatar stuff? I mean Nick seems to be here for the online format and it doesn't look like the series is going to be totally shitcanned.

Do you think they would make it older and more mature, or keep it as is? Korra was definitely more mature than TLA.

It has some scenes that are more adult, but I don't think that ATLA was any less mature than Korra. Just because the violence is more explicit, that doesn't mean that the show is getting more mature. The topics ATLA worked with, were very mature (for the most part).

I meant it in regards to the interview someone linked earlier. Nick and the creators acknowledged that the demographic of the show has changed from just kids to kids, teens, adults, and young adults.

If they know that most of their market is of an older age, would they make it more mature or keep it as is?
