What was the other xur weapon he's had so far (I'm missing one): Gjallarhorn and Suros.

Primary and Heavy. Time for a special...

ICE BREAKER

Mine currently has 999 in reserves. Gun is amazing and IMO better than suros simply bc it does void damage and doesn't take up an exotic slot. It is a bullet hose that you rarely have to reload and is perfect for Minotaurs/praetorians in the raid with their void shields. Does bonus damage in the bottom half of the clip and to oracles as well.

So good.

Yeah, I don't think there's any comparison for the raid because of those two bolded points.

Im at FWC 7 and all you get is their weapons, got their standard cloak at 6 (lol), and 7 gave me a shard and energy.

Moved back to Vanguard for the variety I want from the postmaster packages

Haha it's all a losing bet anyway. All I really want at this point are hard mode raid weapon drops, oh well.

Just curious but for those that went for Dead Orbit, why do you want to focus on Strength and Discipline at the expense of Intellect?

I can see Intellect and Strength, and Intellect and Discipline, but not Strength and Discipline because I'd want my super charged up as often as possible. Where does a build like that excel?

In high level PVE content my Bladedancer gets wrecked if I use Arc Blade's super. I'd rather my melee special be up to maximize invisibility opportunities.

I thought this at first too, until I realized that the Juju in its current form is only good for farming low level enemies. Anything that requires more than 5 bursts to kill still leaves you reloading every few seconds like you did before the upgrade. Especially on bosses, it's extremely pathetic as you don't even get the damage bonus.

I agree with this...this is a trash mob weapon only. Against hard enemies, yellow enemies, bosses, the weapon falls apart. Sustained dps is broken by the need to reload non stop against harder enemies. It is a fun weapon against trash, but you can almost ignore trash later in the game to focus on the hard guys. They need to up the damage multiplier on head shots with this thing.

A question, how does level difference between you and enemies work? I recently fell back to level 27 with my titan because I keep getting new exotics and I can't make my mind up. I noticed zero problems doing the nightfall and other missions against level 28 guys. I decided to do a level 24 strike with my level 23 hunter. Against level 24 enemies I was getting destroyed. My weapons did no damage. My super blade attack took 2 hits each on dregs to kill them. I could not figure out why one level made that much of a difference with my 23 but not my 27. Anyone know?

It sounds like it would be decent for Gunslinger PvE.

My grenades increase Melee recharge.
My Melee gives me force barrier which provides super fast reload and an overshield.

Combine that with high strength and discipline and it's really effective in pvp.

Anyone have any suggestions on using Ward of Dawn in PvE? Still levelling Defender, so I only have armour of light but aside from safe (assuming no close mobs) revives I struggle to think of useful placement. Once I have weapons then it's easier just for the damage buff.

If I just keep doing a lot of tiger strikes over and over will I eventually get a legendary or exotic primary weapon?
Seems super random. Someone posted and got 2 purple engrams. I got a shader and a blue. Gonna run it like 5 more times later. I got the exotic bounty where I need 5 strikes without dying. Might as well get rewards. I blew myself up with a rocket this morning against the Prime (not uncommon for me ha).

You recover health instantly for starters.
Anybody got an exotic from strikes yet?
Got this from a purp engram.

DGAF, I just ventured beyond this thread, beyond Gaming, and it was like the beginning of a Fallout game, realizing there's life and civilization beyond the vault of this OT, and somehow humanity has survived independently of all of us in here.

Either that or waking up in a dark room, pulling the curtains quickly and realizing it's sunny and the world is waiting for you.

I've basically had this/a OT open in a tab on my phone for weeks, and not much else.

Absolutely not.

Keep doing daily bounties and wait for an Exotic Bounty.

Save up Strange Coins (9 can be obtained from Weekly Heroic strikes) and buy Exotic from Xur.

Is there a way to quickly get just a single strange coin?

I'm one short for the exotic weapon tomorrow and don't want to have to do a full strike just to nab one.

I tried a few public events yesterday but got only ass energy.

I get a lot from identifying blue engrams. I've gotten a lot of blue engrams as strike rewards recently.

The bubble is useful, it attracts hate from mobs and they like to focus in it while it's up, freeing up some time and space for your mates.

You can also set it up to generate additional orbs as it takes damage, so that's always a nice little bonus.

It's also saved my ass on many an occasion as I was about to die. I especially enjoy triggering it while in the air, you do a cool slam down effect in the process.

Start a new character, rush him to Venus campaign mission that gives one.

Shouldn't take too long.

Only GUARANTEED way I can think of getting one if you already did your weekly strikes.

outside the 9 you get for the weekly strike, it is random...I got 10 from the nightfall this week...

I got several strange coins yesterday for blue engrams. Try the strike playlist.

I finished my first weekly heroic strike with friends last night. Holy shit that was hard, but we pulled through.

Is respawning by yourself in darkness zones always restricted in weekly strikes? That and running out of ammo were our two biggest issues.

just a note..if you have zero ammo on all weapons, the game refills your ammo after about 30 seconds...

Throwing up Ward, especially Blessing of Light can save your ass if you are in danger of going down. Blessing instantly gives you a shield so it can save you even if something is charging up close, inside the bubble.

Weapons of Light is essential for optimizing the raid final boss, especially on hard mode.

Ward of Dawn is a nice safety net for things like solo'ing Dailies, or the Nightfall when you really, really can't afford to go down.

You will eventually find spots in the strikes where it can be placed to strategize the boss fights.

Honestly I just use it when I'm about to die, and it then comes in handy for everyone.

That and those amazing run in and bubble / revive someone.

When you get blessing of light it instantly charges your shield so it can be used to pop in and out of to fight.

Yea. Your teammates have to revive you or you're just stuck there watching. Unless you're a sunbro of course. Then you can bring yourself back and dominate

I completed the story mission for the day on the hardest difficulty and only got two ass shards. I thought I was supposed to get and engram too.

There's an upgrade that let's you take a shield buff outside of the shield, I use that to weave in and out of my shield and act like it's instant health regen.

Thanks guys. I'm actually doing a nightfall tonight so hopefully some may drop from that. If not then the strike playlist beckons.

Blessing of light, it makes the defender.

Force barrier is pretty nice too, but honestly they need to tweak melee damage because most mobs take a few hits to kill and generate the barrier.

Yes the weapons buff is huge. Ppl often don't think about it but walking in one is like dipping your gun in fucking super-death buff space magic. It's huge in the raid if you place it properly so your teammates can walk in, "dip their weapons," walk out mow down adds or a boss. Really makes short work of them and they're protected while they're in there. Game changer for harder strikes/raids IMO.

OMG dat avatar
LOL Anton Sugar made it for me. Rahool did me dirty for far too long.
