Would like to see more variation in the enemies. Kinda like Borderlands where the same enemy gets renamed but Bungie to add some more interesting attacks and weapon types.

Finally saved up 150 vanguard points and oh man... Shadow Price, where have you been all my life, and it's finally time to retire Shingen-E, you've been a faithful servant since I hit level 20, but holy shit enemies are reacting to every bullet I shoot.

I don't think it was patched, because I just did it with someone who had already done level 24 version and got 3 strange coins for his troubles.

Yup. Shadow Price, man. Got mine last night for free when I hit level 3 Vanguard. It's awesome. Best gun I've used so far. Second would go to the blue HC I was rocking. Can't remember the name but I think it was Regulator or something.

And you are correct, hasn't been patched. Was in the situation last night.

Does anyone else put their mouse cursor on the pics people post and then remember there will be no pop up window with stats/etc.? I'm an idiot.

Any impressions on Invective? I'm only two steps away from getting it but haven't seen anyone talk about it. A auto shotty seems promising. I'd prefer Super Good Advice but alas I didn't get the bounty for it :-(.

It's much better than SGA imo. It's one of the best shotguns in the game. Great in pvp due to the high rate of fire and it can take down major enemies in pve in four burst hits. Really useful on longer pve runs as it regens ammo.

SGA isn't amazing imo. A little too erratic.

Yep- exactly. As much raw joy as the "true" full auto with 8 rounds can be, Perfect Balance REALLY reduces the recoil- so you can make the 3 shots count, even if it's all you have. You can treat it as a Fusion Pulse Rifle- if you don't kill with the 3-blast, something has gone horribly wrong and you probably deserve to die. Reloading after each fire isn't a big deal when every inch of organic matter in the room has been incinerated. edit: Of course you can still just fire off one or two blasts when you know it's enough.

Of course, this does have me looking for an exotic with Special Weapon Reload speed boost to compliment it, and the only one I know of is the Ahkamara's Spine... so come on Xur.

Cool! Thanks for your insight!

36 strange coins. I'm ready to spend spend spend!!

i've currently got 13...i need to get more for this weekend...

i used 13 last week for a helmet so i'd love a weapon this time...

What's the best way/is it possible to get 10 more before Xur leaves? (have already done the weekly on 28) Any guaranteed way or just bascially praying to RNGesus?

Leveling up my second character through PvP, played clash for an hour and already lvl 8. I think I'm gonna stick to PvP until lvl 16 and then speedrun through the mind numbing campaign to unlock all missions. PvP is still fun, SP is not anymore. And yeah, I get why people hate Hunter's supers, every time I activate Golden Gun I get at least 2 kills even in clash, and its usually 3. With Titan hulk smash I'd be lucky to get 2 even in Control.

What was your specific loadout? I assume Gunslinger? What other perks did you choose?

I usually tweak my loadout depending on the fight (density of enemies in the area, distance I'm going to be from the boss, etc,) but my go-to loadout is:

Tripmine Grenade (fantastic for sticking enemies, especially on Atheon. Missing a grenade and having it tumble away is horrible, but even if you miss with a tripmine, there's a chance an enemy will walk over it.)
Triple Jump (timing your third jump can be excellent for dodging bosses.)
Combustion (when enemies are close together) otherwise Gunfighter
Knife Juggler (I don't find the DoT from Incendiary Blade to be strong enough to be worth taking it over an instant reset from a precision kill, but if you're not great at aiming, go for Incendiary Blade. Circle of Life isn't worth it since you should be able to aim your 3-4 shots fast enough and be prepared to know what enemies you'll be taking out.
Path of Unknown (Toughness/Battle Recovery)
Scavenger (if you think you'll be able to pick up ammo during the fighter) otherwise Keyhole. (I used this only for Atheon, since I rarely get a chance to get ammo while standing on the pillars shooting Supplicants.)
Way of the Fearless (more Toughness)
Chain of Woe (some people opt for Gambler's Dagger, but I don't think knives are worth it enough to pass on reload speed.)

just finished RAID for the first time after failing last week. holy shit that was cool. it took a looong ass time. luckily had some experienced patient folks join.

the chests were utter shit, got a few ass energy, no shards. did get a cloak, but meh.

end of raid rewards were good though, got Atheons ar, and the thunder whats it called heavy, and chatterwhite.

cant complain, it was worth it just for the experience. over two tries it must have taken 10+ hrs. lol holy fuck..

So I did a Level 24 strike, and when it got to the reward screen something odd happened.

There was the standard 2 slots for a reward and then to the far right there were two more boxes that had X's in them.

When it took me back to the destination screen it notified me that I had earned four items, instead of the two it showed me earlier.

He actually said:

"Its Raids where Hunters become rather useless. At least much less useful than other classes who can Sunsinger or Defend."

That said, it seemed you were trying to come up with reasons as to why a Hunter should be given as much priority as a Titan or Warlock because of how useful a Hunter can be.

I had the most kills in our Raid attempt last night, every time. I'm a Hunter. I think the quickness can help, and arc blade / grenade can take out masses quick, that aren't the exploding guys.

Yeah exact same thing happened for me too, got four blue items including one engram.

What was the level of you group? All 29?

Did you get rewards killing the bosses in hard after did the same in normal? I know the chests didn't back after get them in normal.

We had four 29's and two 30's. We got rewards on all the bosses, and only one chest on hard gave loot a second time, which was the one right before the Gorgon maze I believe. We all got ascendant energy/shards out of it, but you might be able to get items. I thought all the chests didn't give loot a second time, so that was a little surprising.

Anybody post sales numbers lately? Found this a bit ago, ignore if old. http://www.********.com/article/251918/destiny-sales-top-54-million-units-in-2-weeks/

Quote; The PlayStation 4 version of Destiny has sold about half the total units with 2.66 million units. The Xbox One version has sold 1.61 million units, the Xbox 360 version 687,701 units, and the PlayStation 3 version 486,622 units.

Edit; Sorry, saw the address was censored. I take it this site is not reliable?

Awesome man, thanks. I am going to play around with those perks tonight and see what happens. Good thoughts on all of them.

I'm confused by queens wrath stuff.. Do I just start doing the generic bounties like "shoot 10 fallen" etc until I get enough points to equip queens gear to do more bounties to get gear?

I think I'm partially confused because the Reef is a planet on my map but no locations there..?

Well, we can all dream but I think it's more likely to be a special weapon this time based on how things went in the previous weeks. I'd be very happy if it's the Icebreaker though.

Based on Xur having the Sunbreakers two weeks in a row, I'd say his stock is just as random as the rest of the game and doesn't follow any real pattern. Nothing to do but pray to RNGesus.

For the pvp part of the Thorn exotic bounty does the killing blow need to come from my void damage or will assists count? Also does my Voidwalker abilities count for this?

We tried with three lvl 29 and the others lvl 28... not a chance at all... I think it will be like the lvl26 Raid I tried with lvl 24, lvl 25 and lvl 26 and only after lvl 26 it become easy to deal with enemies (lvl 28 is too easy... even the Praetorian become easy.

Maybe I need to reach lvl 30 first :(

You do the bounties to get wrath kill orders, then you launch the lv 24 story mission to get a legendary reward. You generally just keep rerolling the mission by returning to orbit until you get the one on earth.

Yeah, not dieing when you are learning new fights really doesn't happen in raids.

hunters are at a disadvantage when it comes to progression raids.

"Progression raids" in this game, so far, are pretty tame. Nothing in this game is that hard. Gear + general FPS skills account for probably 99% of what's needed for success. I guess in the future it might make a difference, but to me the difference between the classes is so small that raid composition doesn't really matter. When you raid in a game like WoW (at least back when I played), the classes you took really did matter - sometimes you wanted a priest to heal instead of a paladin, or you wanted range DPS and not melee DPS. Here, not so much.

I think I watched a video that said the void walker counts but not sure of the other question

I hate PVP and have to do this same bounty not really going to do it soon
