If you're going to use Fireborn (self res) it is a bad helmet choice in my opinion. Fireborn in PVE means holding onto your super for very long durations just in case you die without a teammate nearby. The main perk of Light Beyond Nemesis is extra orbs when using your super, but you're always hanging onto it so it's a waste.
Great helmet if you don't use Fireborn or use Voidwalker.
Had it drop for me last night in the nightfall strike. I have to say it's the best looking warlock gear by a mile.
I've been thinking of switching actually, that whole phoenix down thing sounds amazing and magic missile is boring. Is it really so invaluable of a boost to grenades?
Probably because they don't want to have to deal with people farming only to sell their items afterwards.
Plus, if they allowed that, they would have to give WAY LESS exotics and legendaries, because anyone could trade for the gear they want.
I'm ok with the current choice they made.

Think Xur got a bulk deal on those sunbreakers.
Bought the stealth drive, will be picking up a rare sparrow from Vanguard in 4 days time. Also grabbed a sniper rifle telemetry to see if I can pop that then hand in 5 bounties for extra XP on my Patience and Time, the name seems fitting getting this one maxed.

Sad part is their automated systems were pretty meh all the way back in Halo Reach. Anyone have an image of the Titan helmet on sale? Is it the one with the mohawk?

In a word...yes.
In more words, basically the problem with solar grenades is that in pvp they don't last long enough for you to be able to build legitimate zoning around them or last long enough for them to do significant damage unless they whole thing hits and they don't notice.
Sunbreakers extend their duration by a fairly long time, to the point that during your super you can throw around 5 down before the first one disappears. Without sun breakers you can usually only have 3 active before the first one disappears.
I quite like the Apotheosis Veil. I just wish it looked better.

S someone who doesn't really Pvp much (beyond grinding out enough marks for some gauntlets) are the sun breakers that useful or am I better off waiting for the Heart of Praxis Fire? I really had my mind set on that one for PvE but it seems like it's never going to appear...

My PvE and raid character is a warlock. I don't mind that they have Sunbreakers a third week. New owners should have a chance to own those awesome guantlets. Not everyone can pour tons of hours into collecting the requisite funds in 3 weeks. The slow ones can enjoy the best armor for the most popular class. I think Bungie knows what it's doing there.
The selection for Xur can't be too varied. I don't know if Bungie intends on letting him sell every exotic in the game, or if they'll leave some entirely to chance or bounties. There shouldn't be a ton of exotics in the game anyway. PEACE.

Anyone who uses Red Death, I've not used this kind of weapon much, do you think it might be useful for a space jesus who's right in the line of fire taking out supplicants at the end of the raid?

Knucklehead Radar looks so good, easily the nicest Hunter helm. Too bad I'll have to switch for that hideous pos.

i have the legendary pulse fair and square and my current legendary seems better in every way.. my stability is way better.. like more than twice aa5good than red death. it looks like red deaths only thing thats better is healing after every kill. am i missing something?
It was the only one I wanted since I saw what was on offer. Taking down Suros users head on has never felt so satisfying.
For high level pve with lots of shields it my Suros feels better, but for pvp I doubt I'll ever switch.
What armor is that on the bottom? I really like that design.
