In my opinion:
Male Titan > Female Titan
Female Warlock > Male Warlock
Female Hunter = Male Hunter
The raid gives you materials and raid gear...
By the time you roll a full set you should have enough mats to upgrade it.
At least that is my theory.
Not sure if I want to buy the defender titan helm and level it fully to maintain 29 while I raid for more raid gear.

If I were you in that case, I wouldn't hit 29. Sure, you could use whatever gear you wanted to hit 29, but it'll be a waste of resources when you begin getting raid gear.
When you're 26, start swapping out stuff for raid gear when you get it unless its an exotic. However, the most efficient way of hitting 30 would be to already have an exotic headpiece. That way, you won't have to wait to do the heroic raid's final boss for RNG to give you the raid headpiece.
My main is almost always female. Aside from the fact many games make their male models too brutish, being a guy again seems a bit boring.
Plus girls usually get the best hairstyles.
I tend to agree. I played a female Titan in the beta but I was surprised that the armor had such weird proportions. And I really disliked the pose in the character menu.

According to DestinyNews, this not correct. There are two raid armor sets, complete, for each difficulty setting.
Which has caused me to let out a HUGE sigh of relief, as I need the raid helm to reach level 30.

I wish Bungie were as enthusiastic about patching weapon imbalances as they are about making sure people aren't getting loot from a cave.
Their priorities when it comes to this game are kind of funny. But I'm sure it will be fixed in due time.
Wow 7-8 hours it a lot. Just rush thru story with bounties is the fastest way in my opinion. I have a warlock, and hunter. Power leveling a Titan, got him to lvl 12 in under an hour. 8 more lvl and he'll be instantly 25-26. Got exotic and rare gear for him playing as other classes.

this is why I'm thinking about holding off on Red Death this week. it's just going to sit in the Vault along side Thorn.
I honestly regret not buying the helmet for PvP. The ability to keep up the radar while aiming alone is a beast. I would be even more unstoppable with my Vex. I had more than enough coins too. Eh I'll just wait for him to sell it again.

At the same time, weapon imbalances take longer to fix than patching a loot cave. Though I agree with you.

Just bought legendary gauntlets from the hunter vanguard last night because I finally hit level two in reputation. So I've got about 25 vanguard marks toward the 65 I'll need to buy some boots. I find myself almost missing all the wasted time at the loot cave, but then again, playing strikes feels more like I'm working toward something. Working on the Exotic Bounty for the Invective too, so all of my ascendant energy will have good use soon.
