Man I wish I could use this with my primary. Exotics weapons should be able to use together! At least 2. I do love my supremacy though.

Any tips on how to do the PVP portion of the Thorn bounty?

Grab a shotgun and be one of those jerks that just rushes around and shoots people point blank with a shotgun. I dislike the PvP, but it took way less than I thought it would (1 hour-ish) by using the shotgun. I pretty much only played rumble too. I had a shotgun that lessened the spread of projectiles when aimed too, and that seemed like it made a pretty big difference. So yeah, just rush people with a shotgun.

Take your finger... put it down the back of your pants... further... further... ok, now wiggle it around a bunch and see what happens.

Except they significantly nerfed the legendary engram drop, which makes strikes way less enjoyable.

And whoever said that strikes are becoming a pain because of people leaving game or afking is 100% correct. Bungie has a big problem on that end because they have become less and less worthy.

Seems like people just want to maximize their gambling on dice rolls for the minimum effort.

Now that the cave spawn rate is nerfed the min/max crowd has moved onto tiger strikes

It doesn't always, but it makes a huge one in the specific case of the question being asked.

Thorn is an exotic well-known for a unique DoT effect, currently hamstrung by both a small magazine and achingly long reload time. In PvE especially when "more than 6 shots during an encounter" is every encounter, this is a huge liability.

Enter Chain of Woe

Suddenly the gun looks a lot different in PvE and precision kills should be what you're getting with Hand Cannons anyway. But that's a subclass ability, available only to Gunslingers. Don't think I left anything out, just let me know if still confused.

That's a good point. I never thought about turning chain of woe back on for Thorn.

Raid Loot Tracking

I have seen this question asked a lot today. We are obviously hitting the wall of leveling, needing raid armour.

If you have the Destiny app, you can check to see your "Bosses Looted" in your Activities section

Chests will be empty no matter the order. It doesn't stack like Weeklies and Dailies also.

Thorn speak

Thorn has been my go to PvP weapon on my Titan. The DoT has killed many players attempting to run away.

The DoT plus the fact that you can basically snipe across the map with it great for PvP if you can aim.

My Hunter just hit 27 and Chain of WOOOOOAH is game changing! I'm leveling up Dead Orbit so I can get the hand cannon reload speed gloves. If they stack with Chain, then I will never unequip Thorn in PvP.

PvE on the other hand is terrible with Thorn. Avoid like the plague.

I've decrypted over 25 blues, no legendaries and not even a single level 20 blue. Haven't got a single purple engram drop either. My after-patch luck seems to have gone out the window.

Cheese it. Take two people, make a fireteam, go to Rumble and boost it. It sucks, its lame, it's cheap but hey. It's done quick. Next step is actually a better challenge (can be cheesed so hard too btw)

What makes it worse is that some of them have shield that will regen even as you are shooting them, and that often they will reach the end checkpoint with time remaining. They're not farmable as such, the closest would be public events.

The only guaranteed way to get them is to break down legendary or exotic armor; you can buy armor with marks just to dismantle. Your daily story each day will give you either 2 energies or 2 shards at 26.

Zipping from PE to PE levelling my alt Warlock, saw some odd goings on in Steppes with vandal/dreg spawns. First time I thought it was some guy just doing it because he could, came back 30 mins later and some other guy is doing it in the same spot, so made me think it's a known thing. Slightly more interactive than shooting into a cave, but only 1 flight of stairs and a 90 degree corner to negotiate. They both looked to be getting a ton of kills per minute. When I tried it myself 3 times (had to use RPG), it dropped 6 engrams in 3 spawns.

I'm Level 29 and when I get these it takes less than 15 seconds to get its health down and then the enemy just disappeared and the UI directional icon showed them way off and if skipped from checkpoint 2 to 6.

I thought it was a bug at first.

I'm assuming you're talking about the same thing? It happens all the time. It never does when others are helping.

Yeah that definitely has to be one of those "bugs". Me and 2 others were opening up everything we had on a Captain yesterday and he was able to get away.

I was in a similar situation as you just last night. I was a level 21 and kind of stuck. A friend of mine who is level 24 and I decided to give a Queen's mission a try. It took us some time, but we beat one and I got the legendary chest piece. It took me to level 22. We tried another Queen's mission and beat it and I got the legendary helmet. That took me to level 23 and I'm one light value away from 24.

If you have a level 24 or higher to play with, do the Queen's mission to get the legendary gear. I think it's the easiest guaranteed way of getting legendary armor without buying it.

Thanks, I'll go for the arms and boots then, that will still put me at 23. I'll probably be here later tonight begging for help doing the queen's missions though... around 11pm EST on PS4

Right now I'm lvl 28 rolling with a max Alpha Lupi and the same Queen's Guard Helm I maxed out to get to 26. But I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the Helm of the Saint and work on an ultimate defender build. If nothing else this would boost my waning motivation to do bounties, but I think it would be a stronger more versatile load out overall. The step back to level 27 would barely be noticeable while farming & exploring.

Not sure, though, if I should go with the partially upgraded queen's plate I have vaulted and spend my all my marks on armor pieces to dismantle, or buy all new chest armor. Decisions.

This is actually a great suggestion. I wasn't thinking about buying legendary armor just to dismantle for shards earlier and I actually just did that to get to 29.

Yeah that is one of the issues. If I have my "good" weapon selection equipped I can sometimes take out the target by throwing everything at it; but sometimes I'm leveling up second or third options that aren't good for taking them out. If it were just a case of them having a lot of health and the timer running out, I could live with it. But the shields that regen as they take damage, the constantly running backwards or sometimes even teleporting - it's like it is deliberately trying to piss me off.

Same here. I've gotten the same rare armor set (rustburner), primary weapons (regulator mk56 & Primed Yamaduta), secondary (genghis e), and cloak (grinders cloak) 40+ times. Outside of my two legendary Heavy weapons (Unfriendly Giant & The Swarm) and Titan Exotic helmet, I've had to buy every legendary or exotic piece I own. I have zero luck in this game.

I've had maybe 5 or 6 dropped legendary engrams since the hotfix and every single one has been shite armor i don't need or for a different class. Only one was a legendary weapon and it was another apoc machine gun.

Fuckity fuck fuck. Where are all my exotic freebies eh??? I haven't had a SINGLE exotic show up for me engram, end game RNG roll or otherwise besides the Nightfall strike netting me the knucklehead i already have.
